I prefer it over the wind wing because you can ride one handed. It feels more free with one hand. I wouldn't try this with a brand new parawing because there were a few moments when the kite scuffed the pavement. You can accellerate instantly with the gusts. The glide on the skateboard is better than mountain board. Allows to practice jybes. I did a few behind the back jybes which I've never done on the water. My recommendation for parawing on a skateboard is to buy one that used or cheap clearance parawing.Kitesurfing Risk Management - Squalls & FrontsGreg Lloyd2026-02-27 | Identify Squalls and Cold Fronts before they arrive. Music by: Stick FigureWing Foiling - Launching in Shore BreakGreg Lloyd2024-09-29 | My new technique for launching the foil in shore break. Previously I pushed the board out, with the mast up. Sometimes a wave would spin & flip the foil onto my wing. Now I drag the foil out, walking backwards. Easier to walk backwards into the waves. Also prevents the board from spinning sideways and flipping. You don't get face blasted by waves. I drag the wing with an extra long leash. If the board flips the wing will be clear from damage.Long Beach, September 9, 2024 - Windsurf & Wing FoilingGreg Lloyd2024-09-11 | Old school windsurf session to see if I can still do it. Followed by wing foiling. Wing foil is effortless, more fun and higher performance. I forgot how exhausting windsurfing can be. Especially when not hooked in the harness. The jibes are fun on the windsurfer, but going from point A to B is like riding down an unpaved road with four flat tires compared to the foil.
The wing foil carves upwind effortlessly, like a gondola ride. Followed by a downwind run, 3D foil surfing large rolling Lake Erie swells. Closer to shore the swells turn into steeper, partially braking waves. Closest to shore the waves are breaking steeper and consistently.

Music by: Stick FigureKettle Point, Lake Huron - Wave Sailing DirectoryGreg Lloyd2024-08-22 | Looking for the biggest and best waves on Lake Huron for windsurfing, kitesurfing or wing foiling? Kettle Point is the place. The NE facing shore of Kettle point tears down the large waves that are generated by strong N to NW winds. In addition, the submerged peninsula that extends out beyond the point creates a reef style barrier. The sandy bottom contour of the lake is unique in this area, allowing for a "somewhat" easy launch. I made this video because there is uncertainty with fellow watermen when choosing a launch site. This video answer those questions.
