First I thought that this idea couldn't be made into a trailer but - well - you all know how much I love a challenge. ;-) And if you think about it, Sherlock being a figurement of John's imagination really would explain a lot of things: why Sherlock never eats anything, why Mrs Hudson asks John if he needs two bedrooms, how Sherlock survived the fall *trollface* etc. etc. Note: I know that this extreme and that the halluzinations and flashbacks you get when you have actual PTSD are very different from imagining an actual non-existent person (unless you also suffer from a dissociative identity disorder) . But well, you know... it's just fiction... lean back and enjoy.I'm very sorry for my long absence but I've been working on this beast of a trailer for almost 2 months now. Today, when I wanted to finish it, my editing program decided to crash and deleted EVERYTHING from the timeline... That's why the audio is so messed up because I only had audio mixdowns as backup. It was quite a challenge because when I started this project I had literally no clue how to do it and I seriously considered throwing my PC out of the window after After Effects crashed 5 times in a row. But neverthless this was SO much fun and I learned a lot about the programme so I guess it was worth the pain! So much chemistry & tension between the two I could explode! I made this for the "no effects" challenge of SYTYCV so there are no colourings or fancy effects on this one just plain simple "raw editing". I dedicate this little vidlet to Karina aka ImmortalSparrow and the best thing is that she has no idea! She was the one person that got me interested in BBC Sherlock because she posted a very funny gif on tumblr. Thanks for making me watch the show. It's mindblowing!Here's the absolutely MINDBLOWING review by the judges of the contest:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------My god, talk about an impressive, gripping, beautifully constructed piece of art. This video pulled at your heart in all the right places. The use of clips is literally outstanding. There are no words for how wonderfully put together we found this video. The way the clips are placed, the pacing of them along with the music is beastly. The song was gorgeous and the musicality was even more so gorgeous, and that's really saying something since the piece is almost a simple story with no lyrics. The storytelling was phenomenal. How the scenes were all interlaced and put in order really gave such a heart-wrenching feeling. This all goes so well together because we find that good musicality usually has good storytelling as they both work almost as one. The musical piece and the footage connected to each other in a way that says the structure of the video is completely solid and that is something that is hard to find in videos these days. Your concept and overall theme were so strong that nothing in the video felt by accident. It was all done with exact purpose. Sherlock reflecting on whats happened really allowed us to understand what you were portraying. There was no doubt about what this video was about and from the first frame to the last the storytelling was so strong it's as if we know the fandom just by this simple outlook on it. Your perception of this is mind blowing. The hand touching (my favourite part with the hands is when Sherlock lifts his and when it comes down its an embrace... fantastic) and the clips placed back and forth are so well done they really help on the emotional level. The videos sense of symbolism and the use of such subtle clips like Irene's make-up and the hands, give off such depth and special meaning that one feels moved to the core. It's an intelligent interpretation and those types really give you something to think about. The voice-overs were also fantastically done, mentioning him not eating and writing love songs? Excellent -- it enhanced the viewers understanding very well. Even though you used an instrumental, you used it to its full advantage by incorporating voice overs. These voice overs allowed for deeper exploration and in turn understanding of the story you were telling. There is not one thing I could or would ever change in your entry. Your overall presentation with the combination of your storytelling, musicality and technicality were above par. This video is an emotional beauty. Congratulations on viewers choice and a judges choice!

The Adjustment Bureau Trailer [Fringe Style Re-Cut] Nyah86Production 2011-10-17 | A re-cut of the Adjustment Bureau Trailer with footage of Fringe. I worked hard on the lip-synch and in matching the clips as good as possible. I was watching "The Adjustment Bureau" with a couple of friends on Saturday (same friends that got me hooked on Fringe btw ^^) and we all thought that the "Angels of Fate" in Adjustment Bureau were clearly inspired by the Observers in Fringe. That kinda inspired my to do this and since I had a couple of hours to edit on Sunday this came out. Oh, and this is for all the Fringe addicts out there: PEEEEETER IS BAAAAACK! :D I think Fox is trying to kill us. Fringe RECUT • Peter rejects Olivia Nyah86Production 2011-09-25 | "When I was over there I thought about you. And I held on to you. And it wasn't reasonable and it wasn't logical but I did. Why didn't you?" - Olivia Dunham ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In this challenge of the BOIT Competition we had to take a scene or fandom and change the final outcome. I decided to take a bit of a risk and do a 'classical' re-cut of one of the most beautiful scenes of Fringe and to edit it so that even people who don't watch the show - which I expect to be the majority here - will be able to (at least basically) understand what's going on. They kiss for the first time and Peter returns to the „other" universe. After some totally epic complications and obstacles they - FINALLY - become a couple. Yay! ;-) My twist Olivia tells Peter that he belongs with her but he rejects her. He stays in the alternative universe while Olive goes back to hers. Needless to say that she's completely devastated and heartbroken. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here's what the judges said: Despite the concept of your video being pretty simple, it was still very well executed. It was really helpful that you included the original scene in your description. When comparing it to your new rewritten scene, we can easily see how much of a manipulation you had to create to show Olivia being rejected instead of the scene leading to Peter and Olivia's first kiss. The editing was really convincing and we could see the pain that Olivia was feeling after being turned away from Peter. The first half of the video showcased the scene of the "break up" between Olivia and Peter. Normally, such a long scene, that takes up most of the video, would feel like it was dragging on or taking to long to get to the point of the matter. You, however, made it to where that scene needed to be in this video for us to truly understand what was happening. You made it to where it wasn't boring or too long. The second half of the video was a really great way to end the video. It allowed us to see flashbacks of what the two once were, when they were happy around each other, as well as the heartbreak and sadness that Olivia experiences after your rewritten story. The voiceover usage was really well done and it helped us better understand exactly what was going on in the video. Great job on making a believable entry and congrats for passing to the next round! What if Sam - broken and alone - finally said yes to the devil? Cas becomes mortal and can't bare it and drowns his anger and depression in drugs and Dean can't help him. In a last suicidal mission they try to kill the devil with the Colt but can destiny really be changed? I tried to keep it as close to the episode 5X04 („The End") as I could. Everyday is exactly the same Nyah86Production 2011-07-24 | Summary: Six strangers facing their dull daily lives at the „office of doom" This must be the most personal video I've ever made. A couple of months ago I had a bit of a life crisis where I couldn't see sense in anything, couldn't sleep and smoked like the Marlboro man. I took some weeks off and luckily got over it without medication but I know that many people are experiencing the same thing and don't have so much luck. We put ourself on so much pressure to be accepted, successfull and better than others that we forget about the things that really matter. Family, friends, being healthy. The truth is that life is so much more than just work. I'll keep reminding myself that every single day and you should, too.
