Michael Radu takes his incredible kit-built Byron 85" F4U Corsair into the air for two flights at two Northern California RC warbird events. The first half of the video features the Corsair's maiden flight at the Woodland Davis Wings of Victory RC Airshow, followed by its second featured flight at Warbirds Over Livermore. This 35 lb Corsair is powered by a Saito 90cc 3-cylinder gasoline engine and is packed with custom scale details that make it stand out both on the ground and in the air.

Michael took the scale detailing to another level on this build. The scale components were made from scratch using 3D printing, then individually finished and painted. Custom-made stencils were used to recreate the aircraft's paint markings, and even the rivet detailing was done by hand.

The result is an awesome example of what can be accomplished with a classic Byron kit combined with modern fabrication techniques and a huge amount of hands-on craftsmanship.
