And it was not a disappointment! Last year I tried four times and not once we were lucky enough to get bait...This time, although the bait was not the best...We still got something to work with! The initial plan was to fish right in the Gulf in a placed called the Nancy...But the captain made the decision to make a long run to the south of the island to find the fish...And thankfully we did!I really enjoyed this mission...The footage was not the best as I was really concentrating on fishing and not filming and also the GoPro was constantly overheating and cutting off...I put together the vid with what I had...It turned out to be a great mission, as the live bait worked great and I was able to land quite a few nice fish! Of course, as with any trip, I must walk with my fishing gear to at least TRY to catch a fish or two. I have been to SVG a few times before, but never had much luck (except one time I caught a really nice Cero Mackerel). On this morning, my plan was to fish on a beach called Indian Bay. It is quite a beautiful beach. Small, but clean and boast crystal clear water! I tied on a Yozuri fingerling in a bright chartreuse colour and started casting out into the coral filled water. Heading out on the morning around 7:00AM, with a handful of shrimp and old joshua with the hopes of catching a nice snapper or salmon...I did look for livebait, but none were around...As usual, the catfish were out in there numbers and I was really struggling to catch a decent fish to eat...Started to wonder if I would be eating canned tuna for Easter.Luckily with a quick change of tactics, I was able to land a decent sized fish to cook. It's what we call "pulling seine".Spending the weekend at Mayaro Beach with the family, the beach was inundated with seaweed making fishing and swimming tough. Luckily enough the fishermen of the area spotted some fish and set off to drop their nets. Talk about luck!I was able to capture some of the action on drone, but it is a long process and the drone died just as the net came up! Clicked on my GoPro and recorded the whole chaos that happened after...It was definitely a scene to witness! A trip out with Mr. Keith & crew! This one started off on a very cold and windy morning. The water was probably the roughest we have experienced in all of our trips thus far. So much so, we were not able to make it to our regular fishing grounds.Nonetheless, we ended up on an old mark that Mr. Viktor had. It took a while, but eventually we got into some decent fish. Not the usual species we catch, but still a decent haul as everyone got some fish to take home for dinner. The fishing day ended pretty earlier due to the conditions, but that gave me enough time to go home and cook one of my catches for dinner. Its always a great time out with this crew and I hope that we get to make a lot more trips this year and hopefully catch some big ones! Hope you guys enjoyed watching!
