i created another parkour game (and its 10x better)

ThePlayer 2025-09-12 | So, what the hell is this? This is another parkour game that i've been working on. And no, it's not that one (see my previous videos if you don't know what I'm refering to), that one looked like ass, and I've immediately abandoned that project after I found out that I don't have enough scripting skills (and animation skills).

But that was more than a year ago, my scripting skills (and surprisingly animation skills) are much better than before. This is a completely new project from scratch, and no scripts stolen from the internet anymore, the 1000 lines of movement code is all written by me manually.

I don't fully know what do i turn this project into, a silly parkour game? Or a serious polished and smooth parkour game. Personally, I'm trying my best to aim towards the second option. Tell me in the comments if anybody is interested in this game or whatever, maybe I could create a discord server where I could post some dev stuff. So, PLEASE TELL ME IN THE COMMENTS!!

ThePlayer 2025-05-17 | I used a couple of glitches that I found out about.

First one is bunnyhop, it's very important. You actually get a little bit of speed when jumping, and you can also jump before touching the ground, so you can stack it up, it can be seen in 0:05 (it is also extremly precise, so it isn't worth to skip half of the map)

You can combine bunnyhop with wallbounce. Wallbouncing actually converts your horizontal speed into vertical, it can be seen in 0:09 1:49 2:05 and 2:16

But.. 1:49 isn't bunnyhopping, right? Kinda, you can jump on slopes without touching the ground, so every jump I was gaining speed, you just can't see it, same with 2:05

What about 2:16? That's also bunnyhop, to gain speed, you only need to hold hold a movement key, not moving while in air doesn't kill the speed, so that's how I flinged myself up by wallbounce.

ThePlayer 2025-03-22 | What do I mean by "non-intended way"?

In those clips I was using the speedrun tricks for more speed, usually you have to use diving to adjust your height, and hit the slopes correctly, but what I did is just hold the diving button (R2/RT), why? To abuse the slope angle detection timer, I just try to land before that timer runs out (it's usually somewhere around 1 second), it's set in the game, if you land before that timer runs out, then you still gain a bunch of speed, this is why those Bad/Ok/Good/Perfect scores were ignored (as seen in 0:22), and this is also why I was trying to go high enough, but not that high.

Why do I have a bunch of items in some clips? I used the item duping glitch. When the game makes you select an item in those question mark or skull levels, if you spam the select button (X/A only works on controller) then you will get a bunch of items, the amount of items that you will get is determined by the amount of presses, so it's better to just spam A fast as possible. This glitch also for some reason just skips a bunch of those rouge levels, so don't stop spamming A until the game stops glitching out.
