22 lr 300 rounds on body carry - swarm of bees Libra7 2024-06-10 | having mags loaded for the range visits also no problem for defense being a one man army, try this with 9 mm you will have less space and more weight and less likely to walk around all day with 300 rounds, you may say you can with 9 mm but eventually 3x the weight and possible printing your not going to for long, the advantages of a 22 lr are many, fast accurate shot placements, more ammo, more rounds per second, up to 4 or 5 in just one second, lighter ammo meaning your more likely to dedicate more rounds for carry every day, less printing on clothes due to light weight not sagging your pockets on vest or pants making weight of mag print more, especially hot days, you can train more with 22 and add your oun defense drills shooting, more ammo means more getting in shape as you can run and gun more often then 9 mm, cheaper ammo, even brands like remington thunderbolt or federal auto match isnt going to break the bank, even if you get a malfunction its good training to tap and rack to remedy the situation, 22 lr is getting better for reliability and you can always go to even more quality control brands higher the CCI standard velocity 40 grain or high velocity 40 grain wich in themselves are very reliable, all factors like the condition of your gun like cleaning, lubing, firing pin condition, springs, mag condition, keeping ammo cool on hot days, not shooting mag dumps either heating up your barrel for no reason, a 22 lr mag dumps in training are unnecessary since in a defense situtation no recoil means you will mag dump accurately, a mag dump occasionally for function check is fine but have gun cleaned, lubed and let out a burst then allow barrel to cool, this will extrend barrel life and accuracy, mag dumps plus heat can ruin any barrel over night wich is why you see these guys who mag dump on youtube constantly always are the ones that over heat guns, no lube, no cleaning, a 22 lr semi auto pistol ws never meant for rapid fire, it was designed to auto load the next round, just because they shoot fast doent mean you need to keep pulling the trigger over heating 22s like 22Plinkster, most youtube channels never mirror handling of firearms if you want them to last, being i worked in a machine shop for over a decade i know toleraces and can see throught damage on pistols of those who rapid fire all the time and rifles with not allowing them lands and groves right at the throught cool down, going to dump a mag make shureyou let it cool 5 minutes grab a coffee or beer and relax a little, dont damage your pistol, if you need it for defense you want dead accuracy, accuracy is everything in those first shot to the vitals in self defense, with a 22 lr at 7 yards the failure drill 2 to heart and 1 to head you can get right almost all the time, even people with no experience with a pistol are deadly accurate with even first few shots, remember 5 rounds a second to heart or head is a bad day for a threat in the context of only unavoidable danger where your only way out is to draw your gun, if not get away, do less lethal options to avoid ever having to draw and especially do not be the aggressor verbally nor physically, check local, state and federal laws for what pistol you can carry, capacity or add ons since states vary in some laws where you live

handgun speed vs accuracy Libra7 2024-01-31 | READ THIS DISCRIPTION : competition shooting needs more reality based kill zones and needs to be reformed to better standards that mirror real world defense senarios, one example is hitting a no shoot, that should be a disqualification not docking points because in real life you cant take that shot back, most competition shooting is the wrong mind set and wrong training, kill zones need to be real vital organs sizes and no transition to next target untill first target gets hit with say 2 shots to a vital like the heart and you must keep shooting until them 2 shots hit before transition to next target, needs some standard of what incapacitation is, for example you double tap a enemy in real life not hitting vitals and transitioning to 2nd and 3rd target, in doing that the first target could shoot back at you and being now out in the open with 3 targets being exposed and out of cover all 3 could be shooting back, slicing the pie from cover only one enemy should be engaged untill incapacitated while not exposing ones self to other targets from cover until that threat is down and incapacitated, then slice pie from cover only exposing enough for number 2 and incapacitate, then finally 3 and the timer for running isn't like real life either, some times you need to stay with cover and not rush out into the open, that's how you get killed, even Dennis tueller said 70 percent of police officers and even private citizens lose life in gun fight by breaking cover being out in the open, shown on thousands of live cam videos, even poor accuracy from enemy finds it's mark, the mind set competative shooting teaching isn't good and thats why reform is needed to keep it still a fun sport but having a better mind set that can apply with real word senarios, because what you do and repeat on the range you will have a memory set to do in real life, repetition and habit on the range transfers to real life, poor training on range means poor performance in real life or killing a friendly from being so amped up and to much emphasis or shot timers and running, many situations under fire you need to stay put right there with cover rather then out in the open to quickly exposing ones self, once body and mind pick up a bad habit it goes auto pilot, even in your subconscious mind not just conscious mind
