This TAS was made on N64's gz. Human TAS means I've used mostly savestates to make a "perfect" run but no frame advance to do strats a human wouldn't be able to achieve.
Yes there are audio issues sometimes. It's because I spliced the run. But it doesn't matter too much so don't worry about it.

Yes both times are extremely close. But in reality there's a good chance N64 is faster by more than that (my guess is 30 seconds)

Final Time: 6:49.600
I couldn't be happier to say I'm the first person to sub 6:50. Not only that but I did it without EM's adapter.
Mistakes/what can be improved:
•Had a good RNG but actually the worst good RNG, since I had to cut all the bushes.
•Jumpslash to the shop was weird... It didn't make me go downward.
•Final angle was a bit sloppy, I was shaking too much lol
A 48 is probably possible with a very solid RNG and flawless run. 47 is unrealistic though, not impossible but totally unrealistic with the current strats.
What's going on in this run ?
So this is OoT Any% right now. It is currently played on the Wii VC (Virtual Console) version. Long story short (very short) we are using a glitch called SRM (Stall Reference Manipulation). I'm not an expert into this so I'll keep it simple:
The plan of the run is to drop an invisible object at a very precise angle (1 out of 65 536 angles to be precise) this is the angle 0xACA0. the game will then read the filename and bring you to the credits (assuming the filename was correctly typed).
How do you get an invisble object above your head ?
Again I'll keep it simple. In this run we are using an unloaded rock. To do so we have to combine 2 glitches to manipulate the camera.
The first one is called Return A (this is the damage recoil against the Deku baba). Once it is done, the camera will be stuck on Link until you deactivate the glitch (by slashing a rock for example, this is what we do here).
The second one is called Walking While Talking (WWT for short). Once you leave the crawlspace, you can quickly "talk" to the sign and throw a nut. Normally the game will keep the camera on the sign if you do so; but combined with Return A, the camera will get stuck on Link.
Once you slash the rock, Return A will deactivate. Since OoT is an old game, objects are unloaded when the camera is too far away from them. This is exactly what happens here: after slashing the rock, you have a few frames to pick up the rock before it unloads. Congratulations you have an unloaded rock above your head !
But now, WWT is still active and the camera is stuck on the sign. That is why we have to navigate blindly to the Deku Tree area (again, OoT is an old game, and the different parts of Kokiri forest are not loaded at the same time). Once this area is loaded, the sign will unload and the camera will magicaly go back to Link. As a side effect to all this stuff, the Z button won't work anymore, which is quite unfortunate considering we need to get an incredibly precise angle.
How do you get this precise angle ?
YOLO.
Just kidding. I need to create a drift on my controller. If I hold slightly up and then unplug/replug the controller, my neutral position will be a bit off. This allows my upleft diagonal to be exactly what I need it to be to get the angle ACA0 (it's a bit more complex than that, but there's no need for deeper explanations here). But yes, as you can imagine, ALL my controls are totally off during the whole run. People with EM's adapter (which is basically the entire top 10 except me) can make it so only the upleft notch is wrecked.
that's all folks ! Enjoy the run !

WR when set
First ever sub 7:10 !! I'm very happy c:
F.A.Q.
Q: Where are you from ?
A: France
Q: Is this run beatable ? Is sub 7 possible ?
A: Always beatable, I'd say the best time a human can achieve right now is 7:07. Anything lower is just not reasonably achievable. So sub 7 won't be a thing until a while. But OoT is OoT...
Q: Cat lolasdffghfghfg ?
A: Her name is Ellie (yes it comes from The Last of Us). She is 1.5 year old and I love her ♥
Q: Red B button ?
A: I am playing the GameCube version of the game. This is the current fastest version to play on for Any%. Long story short, the GC version has 2 different credits. Normally, SRM and ACE don't allow you to quickly access the "usual credits" but you can do what we currently do to access a video file used by the developpers (likely to prevent the audio desync in the credits because no lag).
Next question is copied from Savestate's description:
Q: What is SRM and ACE?
A: SRM stands for Stale Reference Manipulation. This is when the game unloads an actor but Link (or another actor that can carry other actors) continues to "hold onto it" despite it unloading. This allows for other things to load in the spot where the actor was while Link still writes position and rotation data where the actor used to exist. This memory corruption can be utilized to modify code that loads where the actor used to exist which is called ACE, Arbitrary Code Execution. ACE is performed when a game executes arbitrary code, and in this specific instance, we perform ace by using SRM to modify code that loaded in place of the rock Link was holding. The code that is modified is the Kokiri Children destroy function, so when we cross the loading plane back to the Deku Tree room, our arbitrary payload is executed. For a more in-depth explanation on SRM/ACE, check out this video by Fig: youtube.com/watch?v=SPi_d0zhNFc
Q: What's next ?
A: I plan to run 100% with SRM in 2021. If I get beaten soon though, I'll probably try to get WR back c:

Please read the description:
Hello guys, I proudly achieved a dumb challenge of mine ! I finished my 2 favorite childhood games in less than 25 minutes ! Before you ask anything, there are a few things to note:
-A guy called karl Jobst (hope I'm not misspelling) already did something similar where he's doing OoT, SM64 AND Goldeneye in 51 minutes. While this is very impressive, I feel it's even more impressive to finish those 2 games in less than 25 minutes, also I'm not a speedrunner of Goldeneye ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-I'm doing OoT Any% there but I'm doing 16 Star for SM64 because this category is much more popular and my PBs are really close together (17:57 for OoT and 18:30 for SM64)
-Ocarina of Time is done on a japanese Wii VC and Super Mario 64 is done on Emulator PJ64 1.7. I have a Nintendo 64 but I'm European and so my N64 is and the games are sloooowwww..
-This was performed in Live on Twitch on my channel twitch.tv/amateseru that explains the poor quality because my bad connection can't really handle the 2 games + my webcam. I'm sorry but I hope you'll still enjoy it !
-Yes I'm french, baguette omelette tout ça...
