HachoG-Man and a certain Vortigaunt have a disagreement.
That's a wrap! I've been making SFMs since I was in the fifth grade when I first got my hands on the leaked version in early 2012. Over the last 8 years, I slowly honed my abilities by playing around in the animator's playground that is Source Filmmaker, and every time I made something new, my skills had leapt another level. You can definitely go back through my videos way back and watch my evolution first hand, but my own experience growing isn't all that I gained from being around here over the years. I met so many excellent animators, editors, lighters, modelers, riggers and musicians through my time, that really gave me the full scope of where my work lay in an industry I'd likey later find myself in. I'm so unbelievably thankful to all the people who influenced me, critiqued me and pushed me from this community. I would not be doing what I'm doing now if it weren't for all of them.
It's here I kinda need to place the tough bit, though. In order to focus more on honing my skills as a draftsman and traditional animator, I'm gonna be stopping the work you're used to seeing here for the most part. Probably most 3D animation as it is so I can really push my skills in the direction I'm lacking. Long form SFMs like this one, for example, that took me around a month to work through, are gonna get put on hold for a long while.
It's weird to say, as with the exception of a few of my animated projects that weren't in 3D, this will probably be the longest time in my life since I started that I'll go without wrestling a rig with a graph editor. Gonna be a wild fall semester, for sure.
Thank you guys so much for anyone who keeps up here. I do mostly use these youtube descriptions as a log for myself, but I'm sure they're a good window in to my personal processes as a creator too.

Not happy with my draftsmanship yet. Traditional animation later. Look at scout for now.Half-Life: Alyx Cut Ending - SpoilersHacho2020-08-13 | A secret ending I found that seems to have been cut from the game. Found it in the SFM2 files in a project called "Shred.dmx". Pretty crazy!
Kept forgetting to throw this thing on YouTube. Here she is.
Thanks to JapaneseBushBaby for the gman voice and the random modeler I paid 4 bucks for his guitar mesh on the internet somewhere a month ago.THE BARNACLE ACCESSORY!Hacho2020-05-15 | Are you having trouble feeling immersed in Valve's hit VR experience Half-life: Alyx? Do we have a product for you!!
Been meaning to make more stuff since I finished that dabberson video a few months *checks feed* TWO YEARS AGO...
Welp, those two years were kinda full of me getting involved in focusing on other people's works around the community. Also, I was really just honing my own skills and trying to finish up school. (Last day of high school is today actually.) I'm 18 now and heading to higher education in, you guessed it, animation. Hopefully I'll get what I need out of the time I'll be spending at SVA. I definitely want to try and stay active here, whether that be me just uploading my homework or finding time to do stupid lil vids like this for fun.
I've got a lil website of my own you can check out here if you want hacho.net (Mostly stuff that's already hosted here but there are some other things)
Hope to be uploading again soon.Wicked - Dead by DaylightHacho2018-10-31 | Happy Halloween!
Henlo. Made this little clip as a buffer until my next big boy. Viacom pls do not murder me.
Got some cool dudes to help me out and fix the stuff I'm not good at. I even got a neat paper bag model, just for this! Check them out!

EDIT 3/27/20 ONE BILLION VIEWS!!! Almost exactly 2 years later... To anyone that exists still looking for videos, the next few weeks should be pretty bright... Please go watch offblest. EDIT 3/27/20
An entire year. It's kinda poetic actually, I started this project on March 2nd of last year as a test of my skills in animating using actual poses instead of just going straight ahead. My first attempt that I was actually completely confident in was that very first scene where scout drops in spawn. And as confident I was in that very first scene looking good, I'm confident in this project. Game Plan is my greatest work up to this point. (The fact that the Saxxies are just days after my start date last year has to mean SOMETHING, right??)
I'm very proud of the end result and hope you are too.
This video was almost entirely my design, but a few great folks did some outstanding work on other bits.
Nick did the editing and cool looking FX for this video, and I wouldn't have finished without him. He alright. (Him doubting me and saying to my face that I'll never finish a project actually was a big motivator in me finishing this. Take that.) youtube.com/channel/UCz4ZKIsZ_ODKVZB7DRdQGWQ
FUNKe is an old pal of mine and a superb lighting guy (This isn't our first Saxxy together!). I wouldn't have been able to achieve this kind of stylized look with anyone else. He's a great YouTuber and an even greater friendo. Check him out! youtube.com/user/Mtvnoob
The music during the fantasy sequences was provided by AbsurbCreative! Thanks so much for staying up until 2 working with me.

This took me a few days to make after I got the idea from Lina and CM's voice lines, and thanks to Pumodi I could make it a whole video in just 5 days! Certain parts gave me trouble since Dota 2's SFM is a pretty annoying guy when it comes to rendering; Hopefully it doesn't ruin your experience.
