Scott Keltic Knot - This is a Desert Scott Keltic Knot 2011-10-18 | "This is a Desert" refers to the Southern California megalopolis which electrically sucks and pumps water from desert aquifers and indigenous communities all the way across the State to fuel the unsustainable colonial landscaping characteristic of the region's endemic sprawl.Feudal lords used to maintain lawns in temperate Europe without the need of sprinklers. Much like contemporary lawns, they required serfs to cut and otherwise maintain the grass by hand. The lawns strategically surrounded castles and manors in order to monitor the approach of potential enemies. Compare this warlike landscaping to the old growth forests and swamps which characterized most of Europe prior to Roman colonialism.
