There's a funny effect that comes from following other people and being fans of their work on the internet. There's an odd crossroad between content creation and public friendship, and when you're following one thing but not the other, it gets weird.

40 Winks and Sunnyside are OC ponies. 40 Winks is designed by Ponywise, including the image used in this video. Sunnyside belongs to Sofas and Quills. The song 40 Winks was made by Sherclop Pones, who is a friend/fan of these artists, and was a collab with So Great And Powerful, who also is frequently inspired by their art and characters.

RainSnowHail and I sort of watch all this from a distance. I've talked to Griffin enough, but I don't really know Ponywise or Sofas and Quills. I'm a fan of their art, and in being so I see much of the relationship between all of these artists and how they influence one-another. There's this natural sort of cross-referencing between all of them.

This song was inspired by all of that. It's about 40 Winks being dragged around Baltimare at night by Sunnyside on the night before Bronycon, and eventually getting lost, before Night Glider comes and shows him the way back to the hotel. It was based on my being drunk on Thursday night, talking to Griffin about making 40 Winks the song.
