Danae, mum of two Tiger Golf participants, shares how a 3pm finish would disadvantage her children. Tiger Golf participants can play for free alongside a parent or guardian during term time. A lot of these families naturally come down and play after school. We, the Northcote Community and Golf Hub, ask Darebin Council to quash the proposed 3pm finish and to simply 'Let the Children Play!' Other kids who don't play golf access their training after school at local sporting facilities. For those who want to enjoy general play in local parks, they will have an extra 5.72 Hectares on a reconfigured golf course and many of the numerous top quality parks that surround Northcote Public Golf Course.

They represent the vast cultural diversity of the people who play at Northcote. Most people who play at Northcote, walk up, pay a reasonable green fee and play golf. Most public golf courses offer an opportunity to people like Viet and Tung to part of a public golf course club. There are two clubs at Northcote - Northcote Golf Club and Normanby Park Golf Club. Both clubs are open to people of all ages, gender, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. The fees are not anything like those of a private club... everyday people can join the clubs at Northcote Public Golf Course. All are welcome!
Troy Austin Northcote Hub 2021-12-15 | Troy Austin is the CEO of the Fitzroy Stars Football and Netball Club. Troy has a lifelong history of connection with the Northcote Public Golf Course.
