The second successful suspended coaster opened by Arrow, opening about 2 months after XLR-8 at Six Flags AstroWorld. Scorpion - Busch Gardens Tampa Norman Snook 2024-09-09 | Scorpion at Busch Gardens Tampa opened on May 16, 1980 and closed on September 8th, 2024. It served Busch Gardens and thrilled riders for 44 years. It's compact size made it a great first roller coaster for beginning thrill seekers while simultaneously being a fun little ride for veteran coaster enthusiasts. Built by Schwarzkopf under the Silverarrow model, it is unique in being the only the only permanently installed coaster of it's model. Volcano: The Blast Coaster On-Ride - Kings Dominion Norman Snook 2019-02-12 | Kings Dominion announced on February 8, 2019 that Volcano: The Blast Coaster would not be opening for the 2019 season and would be removed. This is a commemorative on-ride video for the worlds first launched inverted roller coaster. While not the best invert, to me, it was a fun ride and is definitely one of my favorites. It's always a shame to see good rides get torn down, especially when they have some kind of historical significance.The final shot of the ride at the end of the video was filmed in 2004 during my first trip to the park when I first got to ride Volcano. 2013 In Review - A Coaster Compilation (HD) Norman Snook 2014-01-05 | In 2013, I went to more theme parks and rode more rides and coasters outside of the state of Florida than I ever have in years past. Four theme parks, Six Flags Great America, Dollywood, Six Flags Over Georgia, and Cedar Point, and 30 coasters between those park, 11 which I had never been on before. But I would say my biggest achievement in 2013, was going on all three B&M Wing Coasters currently built in the United States, X-Flight, Wild Eagle, and GateKeeper.This video showcases most of the rides and coasters I went on this year at all four parks.
