So these aren't exactly five stages describing my existential crisis lol it's more the parts of the video but there are five of them, and one of them is my plan for trying to pull myself out of burnout. I'm doing much better now (in March 2025) than I was when I first filmed this (December 2024), with lots of therapy, self-care and mindfulness, and some different meds. So while I still wouldn't say I'm back at 100% I have come through the worst of it for now, so please don't be too concerned! Ive wanted to do this since high school ✨ What to expect from the Labyrinth Masquerade ball! Minji Lee 2024-10-13 | My first time ever at the Labyrinth Masquerade was so much fun, very cool seeing so many amazing costumes! I didn't have any idea what to expect, but when I got there I was overwhelmed by all the options. There's a million different things to do, it's like a real life choose your own adventure. German Renaissance Festival?? Lets go to Koroneburg Festival! Minji Lee 2024-06-16 | My first time at Koroneburg Renaissance Festival! The Koroneburg Festival has been around for 27 years and unlike most other faires is German themed rather than UK/British themed. There were quite a few other European countries represented as well and all had fighting demonstrations. It seemed a little more rooted in historical accuracy than most renfaires which was really interesting! The food and vendors were also great, definitely recommend checking it out! All the cats at Fushimi Inari (jk there are more but these are the ones we found) Minji Lee 2024-01-27 | Fushimi Inari has SO MANY CATS it's great. We were missing our cats so much on this trip so it was nice to get to see some while we hiked to the shrine. Fushimi Inari is so beautiful and was especially great during sunrise when the light hit all the torii gates just right. The hike takes about 2-3 hours and is pretty easy, though it does get a little steep towards the top. An Autumn Visit to Nara to hang out with lots of deer Minji Lee 2024-01-06 | Feeding the deer in Nara has been something I've wanted to do for years, and I'm so happy we finally got to! Last time I was in Japan ten years ago we didn't have time to go to Nara and it made me kind of sad, so this definitely made up for it. We originally had a plan of our route through the park, but got sidetracked by deer and starbucks so we wandered a little bit aimlessly at first. The deer were a little aggressive but not in a scary way, very much in the same way our cats are when they want to be fed! it was very funny. We'll be going back in May so I'm excited to see the park in a different season and maybe visit some of the other temples! Highly recommend walking further into the park to feed the deer, especially if you're going for photos or video. The first entrance to the park was very grey and brown because most of the grass was dead, and while there were a ton of deer, it wasn't very photogenic. The rest of Nara park is absolutely beautiful and still has plenty of deer! Though it may be harder to find deer senbei further into the park. Visiting the Ghibli Museum at Sunset and an Autumn Day at Inokashira Park | Japan vlog Minji Lee 2023-12-31 | The Studio Ghibli Museum at sunset was literally perfect, even though it was cloudy most of the day we still got beautiful lighting and it made the whole place so magical. We spent the day doing Ghibli themed activities like checking out the Totoro cream puffs at Shirohige's Cream Puff Factory and having lunch at Tea House Happa in the cat themed Kichijoji Petit Mura ❤️ everything was so cute! The weather didn't really cooperate with our original plan of picnic and flowers, but we had a great time anyways. Definitely recommend seeing the Ghibli Museum if you're in Tokyo, there were a lot of cool little exhibits on animation and you can flip through all of the original storyboard books, and the whole thing felt like a big tree house. There are a ton of stairs and I think I saw at least one elevator, but I'm not sure that the entire place is accessible, so that's something to check before going! We also went a little overboard in the gift shop, but rather than doing a haul in this video it'll be coming in a future video. Visiting Twilight Locations in Real Life! I went to Forks so I could pretend to be Bella Swan Minji Lee 2023-12-16 | Since the SAG strike is over I can finally post this video! I went on a trip to Forks WA in July of 2023 to see the landmarks from the Twilight books. Because I also included some video of the Twilight Movie museum and costumes from the movie I decided to take the video down until the end of the strike.A few weeks ago I made a trip to Washington State with my friend Sarah and we spent a few days in Forks visiting all of the locations from the books! I've loved the Twilight series ever since first reading them, sometimes genuinely and sometimes ironically, but it's been a big part of my life for the past 15 years. I think it's worth it to visit Forks and the surrounding areas like La Push beach and the Hoh Rainforest if you're interested in Twilight and in doing some hiking, but if you're not really a nature-y look at trees kind of person then I wouldn't really recommend taking the three hour drive from Seattle plus however long it takes you to get to Seattle. First Time New York Renaissance Faire! NYRF Minji Lee 2023-09-24 | This was my first time ever visiting the New York RenFaire! We didn't get to see as much as I would have liked since we were a little limited on time but I'm hoping to go back and see more! The food was great, I think it had the best food of any renfaire I've been to, at the very least it had more food restriction friendly options.
