Tech SpurtThe Lenovo Legion Go is a Windows handheld gaming console taking on Asus’ ROG Ally and the Steam Deck, with a UK price starting from £699. My hands-on review with the Lenovo Legion Go runs through the specs, FPS mode and main features - full unboxing coming soon!
Quick update: According to Lenovo, the custom power mode will actually max out at 25W TDP, and the 48W option here was a mistake in the early software. That includes when the Legion Go is plugged in.
The literally big deal with this gaming handheld is the enormous 8.8-inch IPS touchscreen, with 16:10 aspect ratio. It's bigger, sharper and smoother than the Asus ROG Ally - the Lenovo Legion Go boasts a QHD 1600p 144Hz screen.
This portable gaming handheld console is powered by AMD’s Ryzen Z1 Extreme, backed here by 16 gigs of RAM. Lenovo's Liquid Crystal polymer 79-blade fan keeps things cool and the Lenovo Legion Go sports a massive 49.2 Watt Hour battery. That's bigger than 40 Watt Hour cell of the ROG Ally, although that huge display may well sap the power faster - but you also have Rapid Charge Express.

The most recent photo featuring an iPhone SE 4 case suggests this 'budget' phone once again sports a single camera lens. But what else do we know about the performance, battery life and other bits of Apple's next smartphone?
Well, despite early leaks suggesting this new mobile would reuse the chassis of the iPhone 14, it appears that a single camera lens is all we'll get. Thankfully the iPhone SE 4 seems to upgrade this shooter to a 48MP sensor, which hopefully won't be as cack as the SE 3's out-of-date optics.
Performance will come courtesy of Apple's A18 chipset. So you can expect this 6.1-inch smartphone to happily play the latest games. Battery life might be longer than the older phone too, because let's face it, that couldn't really get much worse.
The iPhone SE 4 will also serve up an LG OLED screen with a stupid massive notch, for the Face ID shenanigans. And you can expect the usual iOS type situation, but thankfully no bloody camera button.
SO are you tempted by the Apple iPhone SE 4? Full unboxing and review inevitably coming in 2025!

This HarmonyOS timepiece has its problems, but the UK price makes it a solid rival to Wear OS options like the Pixel Watch 3. Here's my Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro 46mm verdict!
This review model is the titanium version with metal strap and I love the look, from that octagonal casing design to the attractive bezels. Huawei's OLED screen is crisp and colourful as usual, so HarmonyOS looks fantastic.
Sadly the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro falls down slightly with its features. There's no contactless payment support in the UK, while notification handling is basic. Still, fitness fans will find plenty to love here and you've got all the usual tools on top.
The Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro supports tracking for over 100 exercises, with strong support for runners, golfers and outdoor enthusiasts. That hardy design means swimmers and other extreme sport fans should also be well catered for.
And of course it's the battery life where the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro proves it's one of the best options around. A full week of life can be had from one charge, even with all of those features switched on.

These are some of the most expensive buds of 2024 but are the JBL Tour Pro 3 also the best? I've been testing these noise cancelling TWS earbuds for a week now so here's my review!
The USP of these Bluetooth earphones is of course the touchscreen display on the charging case, same as last generation. This allows you to tweak the ANC, audio and general settings of the JBL Tour Pro 3 TWS buds without opening the phone app. However, the screen is a bit fiddly at times. You've also got notification support and, more impressively, can plug that case into airplane entertainment systems and other devices. This allows you to stream audio to the JBL Tour Pro 3 earbuds, so you don't need to use wired headphones.
Sound quality is solid if not truly competitive vs the Sony and Technics buds. Noise cancellation works well (you have adaptive ANC) while the battery life is among the best I've recently reviewed in 2024. But is the JBL Tour Pro 3 really worth just under £300? Personally, I'd be hesitant to spend that money on these earbuds when the Sony WF true wireless earbuds, Technics, etc are cheaper.

The LG CineBeam Q is still one of the best entry-level 4K projectors for a budget under £1000, with only one major flaw: the mono speaker is tinny and rubbish, so you'll want to pair up a Bluetooth device instead.
I've been testing this compact entertainment streamer for just over a week so here's my verdict. Check out my other reviews of the best phones, projectors, tablets and laptops here on Tech Spurt!
The LG CineBeam Q can stream movies and TV via the WebOS UI, or you can hook up a console, streamer etc via HDMI or USB. Either way you can enjoy 4K visuals, with bright and clear output even in a fairly well lit room. This mini marvel is certainly one of my favourites for the picture quality, if not the audio.
The LG CineBeam Q boasts full Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video etc support via WebOS, so this portable projector doesn't need anything besides its plug and remote control to get streaming.

Here's my Meta Quest 3S unboxing and impression after several days of testing.
If you can't quite afford the 3, then this is probably the best standalone virtual reality headset for you in 2024. Starting from under £299, the Meta Quest 3S boasts that same excellent gaming performance as the regular model. That's thanks to the Snapdragon brains, for running every title on the VR store.
Check out my review round-up of the best Meta Quest games for some of my favourites.
The hand and controller tracking seems to be the same as before, if a little better. And the Meta Quest 3S also serves up some excellent battery life for a VR headset, with the option to expand using accessories like the Elite Strap.
The main drawback with the Meta Quest 3S vs 3 is the display tech. You now have a single screen again, like the old 2, so the resolution and field of view have both taken a hit. Still, games like Asgard's Wrath 2 look great and run brilliantly on the Meta Quest 3S. So if you're on a strict budget, this is a fantastic option.

This slender laptop doesn't exactly count as ultraportable as it's 16 bloody inches, but the Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 is still quite skinny and doesn't weigh a crazy amount. You've got excellent battery life too, a serious upgrade vs the previous generation of Sammy Pro notebook.

Here's a quick look at some of the early smartphone adopters of Qualcomm's SD 8 Gen 4, also possibly called the Snapdragon 8 Elite, but hopefully not.
The OnePlus 13 appears to have featured in the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 advert, ahead of the official reveal later in October. This super-premium flagship phone should smash any game out there with this chipset in charge while the 6000mAh battery hopefully means a day or two of play between charges. The OnePlus 13 also boasts fast charge support, at 100W and 50W wireless.
With similar specs, the Xiaomi 15 Pro should prove hot competition. The brains of this smartphone is again the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, although with possibly less RAM. You've got another massive 6000mAh cell with fast charging abilities, while the Xiaomi 15 Pro's Leica camera tech will be some of the best of 2024, most likely.
Or, if you want something a bit more compact, check out the regular Xiaomi 15 phone. This will feature slightly different cameras, but the same beefy Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 platform. Qualcomm's launch is in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned for unboxing and review videos on these mighty flagships!

Is the iPhone 16 Pro Max's camera tech, gaming abilities, battery life etc really worth that extra cash, or can the Nothing Phone 2A give it a fight despite that low price?
Yes, Apple's brick does have some advantages - basically, the tougher design, telephoto camera and wireless charging support. However, in most other areas these phones are closely matched. The iPhone 16 Pro Max, despite costing four times as much as the Nothing Phone 2A, offers slightly worse battery life for everyday use. It also can't charge any quicker using an adapter, while Android is still more customisable and smarter in most ways.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max is more powerful but the Nothing Phone 2A provides a similarly smooth gaming experience on popular mobile titles. That display is just as poppy and bright, with the added bonus that there's no turdy camera notch obscuring a chunk of it. And this budget Android can happily spit out good looking everyday photos, similar to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, with no awful camera button to wrestle with.
The point of this video is to highlight that most people should be perfectly satisfied with a budget Android. So there's no need to throw away silly amounts of cash on your next smartphone. What do you think, is the iPhone 16 Pro Max actually worth that cash? Let us know below!

And the Samsung A55 and A35 are even cheaper options that will suit most smartphone fans.
Meanwhile the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is a fantastic mid-range phone, boasting impressive specs for a budget-friendly price. Or if your budget is smaller, try the Xiaomi 14T or those excellently specced Poco mobiles.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G looks like one of the best phones around if you want premium specs for an affordable price. The Omnivision camera sensor and Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset are fresh tech, and only testing the review model will show how good they are. The Samsung Tab S10 Ultra is one of the best but most expensive Android slates of 2024, but is it an iPad Pro beater?
Well, whether you're a gamer, movie fan, mobile worker or just proper rich and fancy a tablet, there's loads to love here. Mediatek's Dimensity 9300 Plus powers the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra 5G, providing plenty of grunt for gaming. Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves play with a smooth frame rate, with thankfully little heat build-up.
Unlike the iPad Pro, you've got impressive multi-tasking abilities which match the enormous display. That sharp, vivid screen is ideal for gaming and enjoying movies too, while the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra's anti-reflective finish means outdoor use is blissfully comfortable.
Samsung has slapped on its usual feature-filled OneUI launcher, plus all those AI features you either love or couldn't care less about. And the battery life of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra 5G is good enough to last a full working day, even if you slide some gaming in there.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max is a near 7-inch beast like Samsung's Galaxy S24 Ultra, with a camera that also prefers to brighten images. However, only one of these almighty 2024 phones offers AI features right now, while the camera tech, gaming experience, battery life etc depends on your choice. So which is the best smartphone for you?
Well, Apple's iPhone 16 Pro Max will apparently gain Intelligence later this year, but for now it's the Samsung S24 Ultra that offers clever AI tools like circle to search, website summarisation, auto message replies and Gemini support. While the iPhone 16 Pro Max serves up a new camera button, the Galaxy S24 Ultra once again has that familiar S Pen tucked into its bottom.
Both phones can spaff out great looking photos and video, although personally I think that Samsung is best across a range of conditions. Battery life is also a bit better with the S24 Ultra, as is recharging.
However, that's what I think - which of these almighty smartphones would you go for? Are you all about Apple's iPhone 16 Pro Max, or team Samsung?

I've already reviewed the Xiaomi 14T Pro and here's how the more basic regular phone compares.
You do have a few downgrades here vs the Pro, starting with the camera tech. The cheaper Sony sensor is still good for shooting photos in most conditions, while most of the Xiaomi 14T camera features remain the same. Stuff like 8K video recording won't be missed by many.
Likewise, the battery charging is a bit slower and there's no wireless charging support. However, I actually preferred the gaming experience here on the Xiaomi 14T vs the Pro, as this phone doesn't heat up as badly. And this regular model is a bit lighter too, although that's thanks to the more basic plastic finish.
So are you tempted by the Xiaomi 14T or its more expensive Pro smartphone sibling? Or would you rather go for a OnePlus, Honor etc?

Check out my reviews of the best mid range phones of 2024 right here on Tech Spurt.
The Samsung S24 FE serves up a similar camera experience to those flagships, complete with the familiar brightening of high contrast photos. You've got telephoto and ultra-wide shooters backing up that 50MP main camera, although the hardware is different vs the regular flagships.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is almost identical to the Plus is many ways, especially the OneUI AI-led software. You've got all of the classic features on here including DeX. Sadly the battery size is smaller and efficiency seems to have taken a hit so I struggle to make it through a full day on a single charge.
Oh, and recharging the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is a true lesson in patience. But the Exynos 2400e can cope with Wuthering Waves and other games quite happily, with the usual simple OneUI gaming mode.
That's the Galaxy S24 FE in a nutshell, but it's up against stiff competition in the Xiaomi 14T Pro, Nothing Phone 2 etc. So tempted? Let us know below!

The iPhone 16 Pro Max may be my least favourite Apple smartphone in a while, which is really saying something, so here's my early verdict. Stay tuned for a fuller review when Apple Intelligence is actually a thing!
The camera produces crowd-pleasing results most of the time, although the zoom lens and ultra-wide struggle in low light as usual. But the iPhone 16 Pro Max is still one of the best phones for shooting video. Unfortunately that new button is oddly placed and slower to use than the old on-screen controls. So why even bother using it?
Performance is solid enough, with only occasional small judders in Genshin Impact and other testing games. The iPhone 16 Pro Max's battery life is fine, offering around six hours of play between charges if you don't go heavy on it. As for iOS 18, well, it's not as buggy as some previous releases but the camera is a bit quirky still. But at least your desktops are customisable now!

It's basically an S24 Plus, with a less crispy screen and a couple of camera changes - full Samsung S24 FE review coming on Saturday!Xiaomi 14T Pro Review | Cheaper Flagship Alternative?Tech Spurt2024-09-26 | Reviewing the Xiaomi 14T Pro, a cheaper flagship phone alternative to the Samsung Galaxy S24, Pixel 9 series etc. I've been using the Xiaomi 14T Pro as my full time smartphone, testing the camera abilities, gaming prowess, battery life etc. So here's my full verdict and check out my 14T unboxing to see how it compares vs the Pro!
The Xiaomi 14T Pro serves up the same main camera sensor as the dinky flagship from six months ago, serving up excellent natural looking photos. You can boost the picture brightness and vibrancy if wanted and shoot up to 8K resolution video - while the Xiaomi 14T Pro also offers a slew of movie modes.
Battery life has been good these past few days, unless you get gaming on Wuthering Waves etc for any length of time. Playing games does make this phone heat up quite quickly, due to the Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset which powers it. Still, the Xiaomi 14T Pro maintained a mostly smooth frame rate even over time.
You've also got a gorgeous, super-bright screen and stereo speaker setup. Plus a comfortable, functional design in three Titan-esque colours.

These TWS are some of the best of 2024 for joggers, gym goers and office use - here's my verdict after a few days of testing the Nothing Ear Open buds sound, battery life etc.
With the soft ear hooks and light finish, these Bluetooth earbuds are comfortable to wear when travelling. There's no noise cancelling sadly as the open design means you're aware of everything going on. But the Nothing Ear Open still boast impressive sound quality, despite the lack of insertion.
So that's the Nothing Ear Open in a nutshell! Let us know your thoughts on these 2024 TWS below and check out my reviews of the Ear A and other Nothing true wireless earbuds in the comments below!

You can clearly see your games, movies etc on the MatePad Pro PaperMatte's multi-layer display even in direct sunlight, making it one of the best options for outdoors.
That panel is absolutely the highlight here, although I also love this tablet's skinny and surprisingly light design. Vs an iPad, it's quite slender and easy to hold for hours. The Huawei MatePad Pro PaperMatte Edition of course runs HarmonyOS rather than Android. So you will need to use that App Gallery, or Petal Search.
Still, battery life is solid despite the skinny finish. And performance is excellent, even if you don't have the same great range of games to test the Huawei MatePad Pro with. The PaperMatte screen is still a crisp, clear panel for your gaming and films, while the stereo speakers are cracking for whatever you're up to.

This compact smartphone boasts some of the best battery life and respectable specs, plus a decent enough camera for everyday use. But are you tempted by the Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 vs the Samsung Z Flip 6?
Check out my reviews of the top bendy phones in 2024 here on Tech Spurt, including Motorola and Galaxy handsets.
I've been using this Tecno mobile for a couple of days, testing out the camera tech, gaming chops and battery life. So far that longevity is the best bit, competing with the RAZR 50 Ultra and beating that Samsung. The Phantom V Flip 2 also boasts some punchy screen tech, smart design and an excellent gaming mode. Although more intensive titles like Wuthering Waves do struggle on this handset.
The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 can be a wee bit janky, especially when running your apps on that cover display. But that's to be expected, as they're not optimised for use on such a weeny panel. You've also got some sickly sweet animal mascot things, and a few mini games like on the RAZR 50 phones. And the Phantom V Flip 2's camera setup is simply fine, with some occasional oversaturation in stronger light and grainy photos in ambient light.
So are you tempted by the Tecno Phantom V Flip 2? Let us know your thoughts below!

This flexible wonder is up against stiff competition in the Honor Magic, OnePlus Open etc but the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 holds its own for performance and general specs. Gaming with that beefy Dimensity chipset is a smooth enough experience. However, battery life was quite poor this past week, despite the size of the cell stuffed inside of here.
The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 serves up a crisp, colourful pair of LTPO screens with eye care support. You've also got a meaty set of stereo speakers. And that camera setup is good enough to shoot eye pleasing natural pics most times of the day.

The Motorola Edge 50 Neo impressed me in a few key areas, starting with gaming. Wuthering Waves played with a surprisingly smooth frame rate, with Moto's game mode helping out. I also love how this mini version of the Fusion boasts a flat display, and longer Android upgrade and security support.
Likewise, the Motorola Edge 50 Neo offers decent battery life despite its smaller stature. This phone can also charge quickly, unlike some rivals from Samsung etc.
You've got a pleasingly stock Android setup like the Pixel 8a, but with bonus Moto bits. And the Motorola Edge 50 Neo has a respectable camera setup, if not quite as advanced as that Pixel - complete with telephoto lens.
So that's my thoughts on the Motorola Edge 50 Neo, let us know your thoughts below!

Of course, one of the best options for a stock Android vibe is buying a Google smartphone. If you're on a budget, the affordable Pixel 8a boasts Google exclusive features and some of the best camera phone action in 2024 for a mid-range handset. If you have more cash, the Pixel 9, 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL are even more premium. They boast upgraded cameras, Tensor G4 performance and excellent battery life.
My Pixel 9 vs Pro vs Pro XL comparison is live right now, as are my reviews of these flagship phones.
The Nothing Phone 2 is a strong rival, with a unique Glyph Lighting design and the option of Nothing OS' dot matrix stylings. For a stricter budget, check out the Nothing Phone 2A and 2A Plus.
Likewise, Motorola recently released its fresh Moto Edge 50 Ultra, Fusion and Neo phones. These boast slick design and a similar stock Android vibe to the Pixels.
I’m also a massive fan of the Asus Zenfone 10, one of my favourite compact smartphones launched last year. It's another stock Android setup, with incredible battery life despite its mini form factor. And if you want to go foldable, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Moto RAZR 50 Ultra are your two main options.Tiny Home Projector Packs A Punch! | XGIMI MoGo 3 ProTech Spurt2024-09-09 | The XGIMI MoGo 3 Pro is a powerful yet mini smart home projector that can travel wherever you roam and beam out a bright and bold FHD image. Here's my one-week review of the Pico 4 Ultra after some early testing, and so far I'm impressed, even if the games store isn't quite as well stocked as Meta's. The VR gaming catalogue is a lot better now however, while that design is as slick as ever.
The Pico 4 Ultra is again comfortable to wear even for long periods. Battery life is about the same as the Meta Quest 3, offering a couple of hours of solid gameplay from a single charge. Performance is also on par, offering a smooth VR gaming experience with the latest, most intense titles.
Meanwhile that display is an absolute cracker. The Pico 4 Ultra spaffs gorgeous, bright and bold visuals at your face, with a respectable viewing ratio. Audio is also good for a VR headset, so you cna be fully immersed in your favourite games.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is an upgrade in many ways over the original Pixel Fold. That internal screen is much brighter, battery life has improved and performance is also a bit better. A bit. It's still not great for gaming vs the Z Fold 6, sadly.
Google's camera tech is scaled back compared with the regular Pixel 9 Pro, but the Fold is still a capable everyday snapper. And for more, check out the Tech Spurt channel!Pixel 9 Pro Fold Review | Google vs Galaxy Z Fold 6Tech Spurt2024-09-03 | Reviewing Google's Pixel 9 Pro Fold with a comparison vs Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 6, to see which foldable phone is best for camera performance, gaming, battery life and beyond. As well as unboxing the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, here's my one week verdict after using it as my full time smartphone!
My favourite bendy blower in 2024 is probably still the OnePlus Open, especially the new Apex Edition. But the Pixel 9 Pro Fold has a lot to offer including the usual AI guff (like the Samsung Z Fold 6), incredibly bright screens and its usual super-smart image processing. The camera hardware isn't as advanced as the regular Pixel 9 Pro, but you'll still capture slick, realistic photos any time of day. Meanwhile the Galaxy Z Fold 6 likes to boost those tones to really catch the eye.
The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold can handle some light gaming but does heat up quickly, while Samsung's foldable phone stays cool under pressure. But when it comes to battery life, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is the winner here. Even if that charging speed is ridiculously slow.
I like the multi-tasking split-screen experience on both foldable smartphones here. That said, Google's handset is sometimes a bit glitchy, which will hopefully be sorted in an Android update soon.
So in the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 battle, which mighty phone is the winner? Let us know your thoughts below!

Check out my tips & tricks guide for more on the AI features!
As a fan of mini smartphones, this is one of my favourite new small-ish models that can still kick it with those oversized blowers. That camera tech is as versatile as a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra or iPhone 16 Pro Max. And yet the Google Pixel 9 Pro can slip with ease into any pocket. You've got the full telephoto capabilities of the XL, while the battery life is easily as good too.
The Tensor G4 does a dependable job with everyday running. The Pixel 9 Pro boots up in a handful of seconds and apps load instantly, while gaming is also pretty smooth. With Wuthering Waves I did see some judders, which is a shame for a flagship phone. However, you'll still get a pretty stable frame rate on the highest graphics settings.
Then of course there's Google's AI features. The Pixel 9 Pro boasts a catalogue of useful tools, although the single year of Gemini Advanced is a bit of a kick in the knackers. Check out my Pixel 9 tips and tricks guide for all you need to know!

Ahead of my Pixel 9 review, here's a closer look at the best features and bits of Google's mini marvel.
Check out my comparison vs the Pro and Pro XL to see how all of the 2024 smartphones stack up!
While the Pro phones boast a telephoto camera lens, the regular Google Pixel 9 makes do with digital zoom. Likewise you're missing a few other features, like UWB, an LTPO screen and the temperature sensor. But you're still getting that full AI experience thanks to the Tensor G4 that runs the show.
Battery life is excellent here too. The Pixel 9, like its Pro siblings, can last all day without a strain. And yes, while there's no zoom lens, the camera tech pumps out crisp, realistic pictures and respectable 4K video (although the focus is a bit borky at times).
As usual, Google is also offering a full seven years of Android and software updates here. So the Pixel 9 won't be defunct any time soon! Check back soon for a full review and have a look at my tips and tricks guide for more on the AI features.

I've been testing the Red Magic Titan 16 Pro this past week, with the obligatory benchmarking of course, so here's my verdict on this gaming notebook.
This all-metal laptop is powered by an Intel Core i9-14900HX processor, backed by single channel 16GB DDR5 RAM. This appears to be a bottleneck when benchmarking although thankfully the Red Magic Titan 16 Pro still handled the games I tried. Helldivers 2 ran with a smooth 60FPS rate on the highest graphics settings, while Forza Horizon also played perfectly on the Ultra level.
If you want a gaming laptop for under £2000, you get some solid action and capable cooling with the Red Magic Titan 16 Pro. That display is a stunner, while the stereo speakers are fine (but yeah, use a headset). And you'll probably run out of storage space pretty quick, with only 1TB available for your games.
So let us know what you think of the Red Magic Titan 16 Pro below!

Here's the full skinny on the Apple iPhone 16, Plus, Pro and Max, and why you shouldn't bother.
These 2024 phones are a gentle upgrade vs the 15 series, but some changes have been made. The camera setup has been slightly upgraded, with a tweaked ultra-wide snapper and telephoto snapper. You've got an A18 series chipset bunged into the iPhone 16 Pro Max down to the vanilla iPhone 16. However, the Pro phones have a proper NPU to fuel those AI features.
The display tech is basically the same (yep, 60Hz refresh on a flagship phone. In 2024), complete with floating turd up top. Battery life should be about the same, with not-particularly-fast charging. And as for Apple's design...well, yeah. The iPhone 16 and Plus look like a phone from six years ago, while the iPhone 16 Pro pair are unchanged.
So, are you still going to throw sacks of cash at Apple in September for one of these bricks? Let us know below!

From the camera tech and gaming skills to the battery life and AI features, here's how the Pixel 9 Pro XL and other Google smartphones stack up.
If you're hoping to save some cash, the vanilla phone lops off a few bits like that telephoto camera lens. You also don't get Video Boost, for smoothing over those visuals and upgrading to 8k resolution. There's no LTPO screen on the Pixel 9 either, so the always on display isn't as efficient.
Thankfully the battery life is excellent on all three smartphones. The Pixel 9 Pro XL has the biggest capacity, but the smaller Pro and regular model can also happily last a long day on a single charge. The Pro XL does charge faster however, while all three Google phones offer wireless charging.
Of course, when it comes to AI features, this trio are the same. You've got Screenshots, Gemini Nano and camera tools like Add Me, all chucked in there. So if you stump up loads of cash for the Pixel 9 Pro XL or go more compact with the other two, you'll get a compelling mobile experience.

Even if you're completely sick of hearing about AI, there's no denying that Google's Gemini assistant is impressively helpful. Here's how to make use of this excellent tool for planning your day and more. The Pixel 9 Pro XL and its cheaper siblings also serve up the Screenshots app, which can smartly search your collection and pull out info on demand.
Camera fans can capture group shots in two parts with Add Me, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pro can boost your video clips using more AI smarts. Google has improved the photo editing tools too for this 2024 flagship series. Here's a closer look at how to use the new features, stay tuned for my camera review!
