Six Flags Great Adventure 2008 Chris Chavan 2008-11-07 | Words can not express how much love, warmth, and commitment I have for this park. From childhood, I visited every year. Since my early teens, my love for the park flourished. Beginning in the 2005 season, I visited the park a few times annually. It wasn't until 2007 where I began my enthusiasm for roller coasters, and my passion for Six Flags Great Adventure. Come 2008, however, my love turned in a new direction, and I was hired to work in the retail department at Six Flags Great Adventure. My first year experience working at Six Flags Great Adventure is one that I will remember and cherish for the remainder of my life. I absolutely can not wait to return next year. Because of my extremely long work schedule, I had few chances to visit the park. But, I feel as though the footage I did capture this season was put together into a spectacular video. This video is one that shows my deepest gratitude, sincerity, and appreciation for this wonderful amusement park. My home park, my employer, and my life long companion. Dorney Park 2008 Chris Chavan 2008-09-01 | Wow! So finally, after literally three failed attempts to visit this park, we finally did so. And boy was it worth it! Dorney Park is such a beautiful park. Landscaping everywhere you turn, rides for EVERYONE in the family, and totally awesome coasters, I sort of wish this was my home park! I had SUCH a great day here. Mammoth Chris Chavan 2008-01-28 | My newest coaster in Scream Machines- Mammoth. A B&M Sit Down, Mammoth delivers riders with unparalleled thrill. Soaring through 7 inversions, this 176 foot monster is a mammoth among coasters. Beginning your ascent, you enter a tunner climbing a 40° lift slowly driven by tires. Suddenly, before you can blink, you are propelled at a speed of 46 m.p.h. into a Zero-G roll and downward at a steepness of 70° into the first drop. You then begin to climb the tallest vertical loop ever constructed. Reaching the apex of this 158 foot loop, you begin to pick up speed again and rocket into the second Zero-G rolle. After the Zero-G, brace yourself, for you are entering the giant 110 foot tall lakeside cobra roll. Upon exiting the dual inversion element, you soar into the first of two airtime hills. You then climb up and bank to the right through the first loop and into the brake run. Halting to a speed of 22 m.p.h., you drop and enter the Immelman loop. After a moment of hangtime, and a bit of time to process what just happened to you, you drop again and enter the second of two airtime hills. Soaring over the tree tops, you drop and bank to the right and enter the final element- the heartline roll. After exiting the lakeside inversion, you enter the final brakerun and roll back into the station at a speed of 7 m.p.h.
