Kinda nu-disco/rock/house/whate vs. I've received a lot of requests to "make a song like Summer Solace again" so I looked at the structure and applied elements of it to a melody I'd come up with and also combined aspects of my tune Get Ready to Dance as well since it's been so highly downloaded.This song was done entirely in Propellerhead Record + Reason, incorporating quite a few more layers than I normally do as I doubled up a few elements and separated them to alternate stereo channels to try and achieve a fuller sound; I think it worked quite nicely.Also, melodically/structurally I tried something new with the chords. Well, new to me anyways. I remember hearing that Stairway to Heaven incorporates/layers melodies that are simply time-stretched versions of the same notes over a broader spectrum. I decided I'd give it a try! The chords in the first 16 bars are 4-bar versions of the chords that come in the next 16 bars, which are 8-bar versions of the same chords. Then, in the bridge I stretched them further to 16-bars. Quite neat, cause it worked! :)As usual, please rate / review / enjoy!

This was supposed to be reminiscent of sleep and dreams, it has a kind of lullaby sound to it and hence gives the song the dreamy feel I wanted.The song starts off with an electronic sounding and stiff/rigid beat to it (in the full mix), everything is very technically timed, such as the kick and snare lasting exactly two beats and the bass never overlapping anything (also, the bass is just a slightly distorted minimal kick), this helps with the mix and gives the song the reality shades in the start and the end where the beat is the main focus. It's supposed to represent the time of being awake, organised and obediant to doing things.There are deep sub moments in the breakdowns, I tried to implement what film scores did with bass in atmospheric moments to create the deep and more physical experiance with the listener, but I'm guessing no one listening to this will be hearing it on a good enough system to get the full effect, like from the cinema.The wind an orgasm/moaning sounds in the background give the effect of getting out of that strict and flat environment that the beat and the dulled pads give and gives a more free and nightly feel to emphasise the dream aspect.The composition of the chords and melody is actually very inspired by some of the tracks in the Final Fantasy X game by Squaresoft, specifically the 'This is your story' track from when the main character enters a new world, or a dream world.Yeah so I just wrote an essay on why I did things. FUCK SHIT N****RS.
