It punches waaaaaay above its weight and rates a Reddit Black Belt - and I can see why. Three different security pin types (tapered, gins, and Christmas tree spools) plus incredible manufacturing tolerances make this deceptively simple lock a massive challenge to open.I LOVE this lock, it's everything that good design should be.

[191] Medeco M4 Picked Michael Maynard 2022-05-30 | The Medeco M4 is a truly excellent mechanical lock, and I think a very important one for Assa Abloy's product offerings in North America. Picking it is an interesting experience in that it picks slightly differently every time. Not because the tolerances are super close (like say an MT5+) but because the inherent randomness of the rotational Biaxial pinstates means that you sometimes end up with an easy problem to solve, and sometimes a harder one requiring more steps. Binding order can bounce between top pins / rotational keypins / finger pins and in this instance I got a lucky roll of the dice. [190] Picked - Assa Twin Exclusive Southern Steel Mogul custodial (ie jail or prison) lock Michael Maynard 2020-07-20 | Southern Steel jail locks are now owned by Southern Folger, as a result of a buyout between Folger Adam and SS. In this lock, they use the Twin made by Assa Abloy. I believe (but am not sure) that this is a thing called the "Assa Twin Exclusive". As you folks know by now, I'm a huge fan of Assa and I just love the way they approach the design and manufacture of their products. They've thought about - and mitigated against - just about every attack you can think of in this beautiful state of the art lock...apart from picking by a Gorilla.As a bonus, I think this might be another first - I can't see any other videos showing the Twin Exclusive version of a Mogul being picked. So I'm claiming it unless someone can point me to an earlier one.Lastly, I have to apologise for the quality of this video folks. For various reasons I've literally only picked two locks in the last eight months - this one and the Ruko Merkur. This ain't a great video but better stuff is on the way.

[184] Locks from Mick the Pick Part 3 - Sargent & Greenleaf 833 padlock picked Michael Maynard 2019-08-23 | This is the one you've all been waiting for, the monster chunk of metal that calls itself the S&G 833. I've never picked a Medeco before but I found an old one I had lying around, and did a quick progressive pinning on it to figure out what all the feedback meant. It turns out that there is a LOT going on inside a Medeco, which I guess is why they have the reputation as tough locks to pick but they are certainly beatable. By far the hardest job is learning to distinguish between a true gate and a false gate when setting the pins rotationally. This is tricky but you can do it with a little practice. I was kinda lucky in that I chose the true gates first time with the padlock, so once I started getting the conventional pins set I didn't have to go back and tweak the pins rotational orientation afterward.There was no key with this lock and because it's a US military item keys are not available for this broaching so we're looking for another core...the goal is to make this into a fully functioning padlock again.Hope you guys enjoy the video.

Frankly I wouldn't bother unless you're looking for conclusive pick and gut evidence that I did in fact pick a fully pinned up (12 pins!) lock.
[169] First pick - Cei 385T Michael Maynard 2019-02-28 | First pick of this interesting Chinese lock, as far as I know. It's a six pin in pin, (of which two outers are set by active elements on the key) plus a four slider sidebar. A quick look at the key will reveal that it's an attempt at cloning the Mul-T-Lock MT5+ - more homage than copy really - but with much poorer manufacturing tolerances and overall poorer quality. Still, it's the best Chinese lock I've seen in a while and in my view they got it half right. It's also sometimes known as a "Five Colours Lock" but is considerably different to other locks of this name from the same manufacturer.
