eggplantfoolOn March 17, 2017 Professor Jordan Peterson was scheduled to speak with a panel of 3 other professors at McMaster University on topics such as free speech and political correctness.
Due to harrasments and pressures the 3 other panelists that were scheduled dropped out, leaving Peterson to be the only speaker.
The organizers of the event made the following announcements: " To those who have expressed concerns about our event: The purpose of this event is not to create a discussion surrounding gender identity and expression, these are integral to the dignity of marginalized groups in society, and are NOT up for debate. Instead, we want to create a forum to discuss the ongoing debate surrounding political correctness at public institutions like the university, in the same vein as the Aviva Chomsky event at McMaster in February several weeks ago entitled “Multiculturalism, Political Correctness, and the Left”.
From our viewpoint, this is an issue which is becoming increasingly pertinent. We think the rise of proto-fascist, fact-denying ideologues in the age of Trump, of xenophobia and attacks against marginalized communities, is terrifying and that these movements have been emboldened by concerns of political correctness. Why did Trump win? Why do many people who hold controversial views feel unable to participate, unable to engage with the “ivory towers” of the university, and become further entrenched in divisiveness? How do we at institutions such as the university include people who don’t agree with us in our conversations and create open spheres of discourse? Dr Peterson was invited because he has been a vocal participant in conversations, not to affirm his viewpoint. Indeed, we as a club do not necessarily endorse or agree with any of the involved panellists, we simply wanted to create a discussion of this issue where different viewpoints are represented. Our recruitment process was to invite people (including from the LGBTQ+ community) who we thought could lend value to the discussion and represent different viewpoints.
Finally, based on the objective of the event, we have instructed our panelists that the discussion will focus only on the main themes of Freedom of Speech and its Limits, the Importance of Sensitivity and their Implications for Academia. Discussion of gender identity or related topics are strictly off limits for the purpose of this discussion. We are working with our moderator to ensure an inclusive and respectful discussion takes places within the limits we have set out. Everyone is welcome to participate, given they respect the rules of the discussion and do not engage in any personal attacks against individuals or marginalized groups.
Best Regards, OTG Executive Team"
They wished to not have any of the gender pronoun discussion at the event. This didn't stop the leftist from coming out and disrupting the event. This was anticipated so the organizers issued this message:
"Hello everyone, We are very excited to see all of you at the event today! Here are a few last minute updates: First, as we mentioned, the room has a capacity for 120 people, so seating will be allocated on a first come first serve basis (wheelchair accessible seating will also be made available). There is a class before our lecture so please do not attempt to enter the room before the 4:30 start time. Secondly, we have been working with Security Services to ensure that a safe, respectful environment is maintained. If you wish to protest or hold a demonstration, you may do so outside the venue, but please do not obstruct your peers from entering or exiting the room. Additionally, security services has made it clear they will NOT TOLERATE any disruptions within the room, such as shouting, or speaking out of turn. Disruptors may be removed from the premises. Remember, there will be ample time for Q&A, so if you wish to speak, please respect the rules of our discussion and you will have an opportunity to do so. Again, we look forward to a productive, respectful and though-provoking discussion with all of you. See you there at IAHS B102!"

Rewind back to 2012 when cone-ing was all the rage (youtube: coneing). The idea was that you order an ice cream at a drive thru and then grab the ice cream by the ice cream and then flip it over to eat the cone, all in the preying eyes of the McDonald's employees. It was a time of madness. Anyway, so today my siblings and I loaded up my sister's little barbie car into the back of our SUV and drove it to the nearest drive-thru. There we unloaded the pink Barbie car and my sister persisted to order an ice cream and cone it! I was so proud that I cried.Hokkaido Melon Kit Kat Food Revieweggplantfool2017-05-17 | Friend hooked me up with some dank kit Kats. Little fun fact: I lived in Japan for a bit in 2016. The room was full with about 150 people.
The speakers all spoke from a leftist point of view. The speakers main points can be summarized as such; white people are racist, islamaphobic, mysognistic, etc. There needs to be laws protecting illegals. People need to congregate and get people involved in social justice projects such as the BDS movement. People need to be more compassionate. People need to be more sensitive to others. check your privilege. For context of the tweets. The person before me condemned trump and condemned the BDS movement. We played rock paper scissors for who could speak first.Nara Dreamlandeggplantfool2016-07-11 | One of the reasons I came to Japan. Nara Dreamland -The abandoned Japanese amusement park that continues to loom as a dystopian Disneyland.
This place was everything, I wanted from an abandoned theme park. The best way to describe it would be eerie. This was on my to do list in Japan since day one. After school my friend Oscar and I headed to Nara to check out it out. We were not disappointed. The place is dismal and strange. Trees growing into the rides, cracked pavement, shattered glass, rust, chipped paint. The whole place is still together and slowly falling part. It was quite the thrill to walk on the rollercoasters and into the attractions. I wish I had more time and a better camera. There is security and a whopping 400,000 yen ($4000) fine for trespassing so be careful if you plan to go.
"In 1961, Nara Dreamland was the Japanese answer to Southern California's legendary Disneyland, and shared several of its themes and features, including its very own Main Street U.S.A. Unfortunately it lacked the longevity of the American entertainment staple, and the lights on Main Street flickered out for good in 2006 at an all-time low of about 400,000 visitors that year. Since then, the pay-as-you-go park has become overrun with rust and nature, rendering it unsalvagable, but remained largely intact. Smiling characters have become creepily content in their shabby, weather-worn condition, and trees and bushes grow up and into what were once majestic coasters. What once attracted families full of smiling children now attracts brave urban explorers and nesting birds. Sleeping Beauty's castle, once a place of fairytales, now resembles something out of a haunted nightmare.
While the park still seems to be powered with electricity, the cost of bringing these monolithic coasters back to life is too high, yet the fate of the park remains uncertain. Guards regularly patrol the grounds fining trespassers, but no plans to demolish are currently in the works. Until its future is decided, it remains a decaying vision of misplaced American dreams."Tuna carving Osakaeggplantfool2016-04-18 | ...Dr Laffa VS Famous Laffaeggplantfool2016-01-20 | At Bathurst and Lawrence there are two laffa places located less than 10 metres away from each other, Dr. Laffa and Famous Laffa. I believe that the Dr. Laffa had two owners but they had a fight and then the other opened Famous Laffa nearly directly next door. I also heard that the feud was so heated that the owner of Dr. Laffa got the owner of Famous Laffa deported. Its time to settle the score once and for all, which one has the better Falafel ?
the reason im eating two dinners and two falafels is because im getting all you can eat sushi next week so im trying to train for that.
