PyroChemMinerIn this video you will learn how to extract the lithium metal from a double AA non-rechargeable (primary) lithium battery. Just be careful when taking it apart because while the top part (positive cover) is being removed, the battery can get hot; therefore, gloves are recommended. The steel casing is very strong, so it takes a lot of effort to peel back. You can find these batteries at most hardware stores, grocery stores, or retail stores.

1. The concentration of hydrogen peroxide was too low.
Solution: Try to boil the 3% store bought hydrogen peroxide to remove excess water or purchase higher concentration hydrogen peroxide.
2. The reaction was too hot and vaporized the water produced resulting in more water vapor than oxygen gas.
Solution: Try introducing the bleach incrementally and/or slower. The Finished Alphabet: Aluminum Casting ProjectPyroChemMiner2022-08-09 | The alphabet is fully complete. Each letter was hand molded, packed, poured, cut, and finished.
