Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2022-12-07 | My first time travelling in Türkiye, and my two weeks was built around a 7 day bespoke group tour I hosted with Intrepid Travel.

In this episode we travel to Göreme in Cappadocia, doing the famous hot air balloon ride at sunrise.

We also visit the Zelve Open Air Museum and underground city.

Finishing up the trip we travel down to the south coast to the towns of Antalya and Kaş, including a boat tour to the sunken city of Kekova.

THAILAND Revisited 🇹🇭 | Ep2 - Koh Phi Phi, Railay Beach, Khao Sok, Koh Lanta

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2022-09-01 | I went travelling around Thailand for one month in January 2022.

In this second half I head to the south, starting in Khao Sok National Park and then visiting Khao Sok Elephant Sanctuary.

Then we went to Krabi and stayed in Ao Nang and then Railay Beach.

In Koh Phi Phi we got to see the recently re-opened Maya Bay made famous from The Beach,

Then my journey finished with a few nights in Koh Lanta.

THAILAND Revisited 🇹🇭 | Ep1 - Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, Erawan NP, Ayutthaya

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2022-08-25 | I went travelling around Thailand for one month in January 2022.

The first half of the trip I was hosting a bespoke group tour with Intrepid Travel, joined by people who follow my channel.

We had to run the guantlet of the Thailand Pass and the Test & Go scheme, and as you'll see, travel in Thailand wasn't easy.

We still managed to see and experience some incredible places. From Bangkok, to the railway market and floating markets; visitnig the bridge on the River Kwai at Kanchanburil; the gorgeous waterfalls of Erawan National Park; and the ancient city of Ayutthaya.

Also joining me for 1 day before the tour was my good friend @Paddy Doyle

ICELAND 🇮🇸 10 Day Ring Road Group Trip | Ep 2 - Dettifoss to The Blue Lagoon

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2022-04-21 | In early October, we spent 10 days travelling all the way around Iceland on a group tour.

This was a bespoke tour I organised with Intrepid travel and put on sale to you guys that follow my channel!

15 of us went exploring round Iceland with a local guide, experiencing so many of the country’s highlights.

In the second half of the trip we visit Dettifoss, featured in the film Prometheus. Then we travelled through the geyser strip near Lake Mývatn.

At Akureyri we went on a whale watching boat tour.

Then we continued west to the Snaefellsness Peninsula, where we went horseriding and saw Iceland's most photographed mountain at Kirkjufellsfoss.

Returning to Reykjavik we completed our tour visiting the lava fields of the recently erupted Fagradalsfjall and then relaxing in the Blue Lagoon.

ICELAND 🇮🇸 10 Day Ring Road Group Trip | Ep 1 - Reykjavík to the East Fjords

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2022-04-14 | In early October, we spent 10 days travelling all the way around Iceland on a group tour.

This was a bespoke tour I organised with Intrepid travel and put on sale to you guys that follow my channel!

15 of us went exploring round Iceland with a local guide, experiencing so many of the country’s highlights.

In this first episode we travel from Reykjavik to the main sites of the Golden Circle. We managed to see the Northern Lights on the first night of the trip!

At Jökulsárlón we cruised between icebergs on the glacier lagoon, before hiking into an ice cave.

We made our way to the beautiful town of Seydisfjordur in the East Fjords, before visiting Hengifoss, relaxing in the Vök Baths and then settling down at our farm stay in Möðrudalur.

SWITZERLAND 🇨🇭 Grindelwald to Zermatt | A Summer In Europe - Ep 1

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2022-02-10 | I spent 2 weeks hiking in the Swiss Alps travelling from Grindelwald to Zermatt.

Beginning with a few days in the Jungfrau region, I hiked through Grindelwald, Wengen, Lauterbrunnen and Mürren.

Then I moved onto Kandersteg to see the stunning lake of Oeschinensee.

In Leukerbad I experienced the incredible fireworks of Swiss National Day.

Randa I walked along the the world's 3 longest hanging bridge of Charles Kuonen Suspension Bridge.

And finally I had a few days in Zermatt, hiking up to the Gornergrat and experiencing the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise.

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2022-01-05 | Last summer I went on a 5 week trip through Switzerland, Italy & Croatia, my first big trip in over 18 months.

In Switzerland, I travelled from Grindelwald to Zermatt, enjoying 2 weeks hiking in the most beautiful mountains in the world. Stopping at various villages such as Lauterbrunnen, Murren and Kandersteg.

I then had a week to travel through Italy through Como, Vicenza and Venice.

The trip finished up with 2 weeks soaking up the sun in Croatia.

UK Weekend Breaks | CORNWALL | Boscastle, SW Coast Path - Widemouth Bay to Port Issac

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2021-07-02 | A weekend enjoying the epic coastline in Cornwall, one of the UK's top holiday spots.

I spent the weekend in the village of Boscastle with my mum. We used this as our base for walking the South West Coast Path.

On the first day we walked from Widemouth Bay back to Boscastle via Crackington Haven.

On the second day we walked from Port Issac back to Boscastle, via Port Gaverne, Tregardock Beach, Trebarwith Sand and Tintagel Castle - the birth place of King Arthur.

UK Weekend Breaks | DORSET | Corfe Castle & The Jurassic Coast

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2021-06-18 | Discover the gorgeous English southern coastline of Dorset.

The first part of this video we visit the beautiful village of Corfe Castle, by the spectacular ruins of the castle. From here we walk out to the village of Kingston, the view point of Swyre Head before looping back around to Corfe.

The second walk we head to Worth Matravers, another cute village, close to the shores of the Jurassic Coast. We follow the Priests Way, then walk down to Dancing Ledge, along the South West Coast Path to Winspit Quarry, St Aldhelm's Head, Chapman's Pool and then back to Worth Matravers.

The silver lining of this last year is that it's encouraged me to explore more of my own backyard, whilst the borders for travellling are shut.

AUSTRALIA BACKPACKING East Coast | Ep2 | Discover Queensland

I began my first ever backpacking trip in Australia, starting in Cairns, Queensland and working my way down the east coast. I did the same route again on HK2NY, and then re-visited 3 times shooting promo videos for STA Travel.

Using the footage from these trips I've combined 4 different stories to give you a complete overview of everything there is to experience in Queensland.

A Perfect Day in Wengen + Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2020-09-11 | I got to spend one night in Wengen above the Lauterbrunnen valley to hike around the beautiful Jungfrau Region.

I had a freelance job come in for Zurich, so I asked them to book my flight back a day late so I could go on a mini-adventure to the Swiss Alps.

This video shows what it's like flying in 2020 from Heathrow, staying at a hotel, and then it's a big slice of pure escapism as I head up to the mountains.

Road Trip Round Ireland

This was my first time properly exploring Ireland. I'd been for weekend breaks in Dublin & Belfast before, but that's it.

Highlights include visiting the Guiness factory; Wicklow Mountains National Park; Blarney Castle; Cliffs of Moher; Galway; having a pint in Sean's Bar - the oldest pub in Ireland (and possibly the world); and the Titanic museum in Belfast.

VIETNAM | 6 Weeks Solo Backpacking | Documentary Trailer

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2020-05-29 | I had 6 weeks to travel from the south to the north of Vietnam.

This 3 part documentary series captures the complete backpacking experience as I travel from Saigon up to Ha Giang.

Taking an overnight bus to Tam Coc, I explored the stunning region of Ninh Binh including boating around Trang An. After this arrived in Hanoi for Tet Lunar, before heading up to Ha Giang to bike the famous loop.

MOROCCO | A 9 Day Group Tour | Ep2: Sahara to Essaouira

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2020-03-12 | I recently got to travel around Morocco on a 9 day group tour.

This was my first time in the country and is documented in a new 2 part travel documentary series.

In this second episode we gradually make our way out of the Sahara; go looking for Morocco's famous goats in trees; stop at the old fortified market town of Taroudant; then head up the Atlantic coast to Essaouira, where we have 2 nights to explore the town. Finally we complete our trip back in Marrakesh with a beautiful hot air balloon ride.

The difference with this tour is it's the first one I've hosted and organised myself. Working with Intrepid Travel we created a bespoke itinerary and put it on sale to my followers.

MOROCCO | A 9 Day Group Tour | Ep1: Marrakesh to the Sahara

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2020-03-05 | I recently got to travel around Morocco on a 9 day group tour.

This was my first time in the country and is documented in a new 2 part travel documentary series.

In this first episode we explore the medina in Marrakech; drive through the High Atlas Mountains;
visited the Gladiator and Game of Thrones location of Ait Benhaddou; drove through the Draa Valley to Zagora; spent a night in the Sahara desert including a camel ride and camping under the stars

Exploring Catalonia: Off The Beaten Track In Spain

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2019-11-21 | I spent a few days travelling around Catalonia in Spain, exploring a few off the beaten track places that were only a couple of hours drive away from Barcelona.

Some of the activities included were hiking to caves and waterfalls in the Mountains of Prades; kayaking in the reservoir of Siurana; tasting premium wines of Perinet; doing a Via Ferrada rock climb at La Morera de Monstant; crawling into the caves at L'Espluga de Francoli and having loads of fun at Port Adventura theme park.

The Dolomites: A Journey Through Trentino

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2019-10-24 | I travelled for 2 weeks through the region of Trentino in Italy, exploring the different lakes, villages and mountains, finishing up with hiking at The Dolomites.

Travelling to somewhere slightly more off the beaten path in Italy, this travel documentary covers my entire experience.

Starting off in the town of Trento, I got to visit various waterfalls, mines, and even a scenic helicopter ride.

Following this I travelled to Levico Terme to go sailing and paddle boarding on the lake.

Then I travelled to the area of San Martino di Castrozza, concluding the trip hiking right by The Dolomites mountains at Baita Segantini.

Also thanks once again to Charlie Keep for helping out with the filming and providing the additional footage for this film.

The Dolomites: A Journey Through Trentino | TRAILER

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2019-10-20 | I spent two weeks travelling through the Italian Alps of Trentino, finishing at The Dolomites mountains.

This was a chance to travel around a part of Italy that's more off the beaten path.

Starting in the town Trento, I got to explore the old mines, visit gorges, go on helicopter rides and more.

Then I travelled to Levico Terme to go sailing and paddle boarding on the lakes, as well as tasting a lot of Trentodoc.

Finally we travelled to the San Martino area to go hiking at the Passo Rolle point for perfect views of The Dolomites.

All Inclusive In Antigua | One Week In The Caribbean

I spent a week on the island of Antigua, staying at the Verandah Resort.

I was invited out there by Traverse Events and Antigua & Barbuda Tourism board to experience everything the island has to offer along with nearly 40 other different travel content creators.

I spent a week on the island of Antigua, staying at the Verandah Resort.

I was invited out there by Traverse Events and Antigua & Barbuda Tourism board to experience everything the island has to offer along with nearly 40 other different travel content creators.

Together we go kayaking, scooter snorkelling, biking through St John's, watching the sunset at Shirley Heights and even became extras in a work out video for Fleur East.

EGYPT & JORDAN | Ep2: Solo Backpacking Jordan

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2019-06-20 | Solo backpacking through Jordan in the second leg of my month long trip as I travel through Egypt & Jordan.

I’ll be visiting Amman, the Dead Sea, Jerash, the Kings Highway, Karak, Petra and Wadi Rum.

Egypt & Jordan are undoubtedly on most people's travel bucket lists, but I've always had the impression that the majority of people travel there on an organised tour.

So I wanted to give it a go by myself and see what it was like treating it like a normal backpacking trip, staying at hostel and booking everything on the go.

This second episode sees my journey continue as I head into Jordan for 10 days.

Starting out in Amman, I did day trips to the Dead Sea, Mt Nebo, Madaba, Umm Qays, Aljoun and Jerash.

Then I travelled south along the Kings Highway passed Karak, Dana Reserve and Shobak before arriving in Wadi Musa to see the ancient ruins of Petra, featured in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Finally I head to Wadi Rum, the stunningly beautiful desert that’s been used in countless movies from Lawrence of Arabia to the Martian, and even Star Wars Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker.

EGYPT & JORDAN | Ep1: Solo Backpacking Egypt

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2019-05-02 | Solo backpacking through Egypt in the first leg of my month long trip as I travel through Egypt & Jordan.

Egypt & Jordan are undoubtedly on most people's travel bucket lists, but I've always had the impression that the majority of people travel there on an organised tour.

At Luxor I visited the Valley of the Kings, Karnak and other temples.

Then I went snorkelling and scuba diving in the Red Sea at Hurghada, Sharm el Sheikh and Dahab.

Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries 2019-04-19 | I went backpacking around Egypt & Jordan for one month by myself.

Egypt & Jordan are undoubtedly on most people's travel bucket lists, but I've always had the impression that the majority of people travel there on an organised tour.

So I wanted to give it a go by myself and see what it was like booking everything on the go, treating it like a normal backpacking trip.

This is the trailer for the 2-part documentary series.

Highlights of the trip include seeing the Pyramids of Cairo; visiting Abu Simbel temple; cruising along the Nile, exploring the Valley of the Kings at Luxor, scuba-diving in the Red Sea; following in the footsteps of Indiana Jones at Petra; and enjoying the vast beauty of Wadi Rum.
