Much easier to see than a red laser.I have been asked about the laser as a weapon sight and I would not recommend this model. Other than the aforementioned size and weight, the aiming adjustment screws are weak and strip easily, leading me to believe the aiming point would move after repeated recoil cycles. But it is a neat toy. :)

1st interior tour—Camel bus conversion Phillip Breske 2013-05-27 | This is the first interior tour starting the process of converting a 1995 bookmobile into my full-time motorhome. The vehicle is based on an International 3800 school bus chassis with a bookmobile body by Farber. The sidewalls and roof are all aluminum, with 7-1/2 feet of headroom inside and a flat ceiling from corner to corner. It has about 150,000 miles on the original DT466 engine, with a strong MT643 automatic transmission. The weight rating on the axles gives me a GVWR of 27,500 pounds, so I should be able to carry everything I mention in the video.
Roof hatch installation—Camel bus conversion Phillip Breske 2012-09-04 | Today I finally cut open the roof of my skoolie RV conversion to install a hatch that will allow access to the roof deck. I've been building the hatch parts for the past couple of weeks and couldn't put this off any longer. Cutting a huge hole in the roof is nerve-racking, but now that i's done I'm very pleased with how it's coming along. After running a thick bead of caulk around the mounting flange, I dropped the hatch into the hole and then screwed through the roof aluminum into the flange to secure the seal against the roof. The inside extension will be secured to the ceiling joists to make the hatch completely rigid. The extension hangs about a half-inch below the joists to accommodate the ceiling material thickness once that is installed.In the final still image you can see the Lid-Light in the door. That's a battery-powered LED light that is recharged by a small solar PV cell on the outside of the door. Remembering my right to record public servants performing their duties in a public space, I declined his request.
Homemade brass deflector screen Phillip Breske 2012-05-18 | My XCR throws brass forward and it was always a hassle to dig the casings out of the sand at the end of a day of shooting. I built this collapsable deflector that keeps the brass close to the shooting position. When it's time to leave, the small legs and the uprights come off and the whole thing rolls up into a small package. Total cost, about $10.
Tigger walking after CCL repair Phillip Breske 2012-05-07 | My dog had her right hind Cranial Cruciate Ligament repaired after tearing it a couple weeks ago. Here she is just two days after surgery, placing a small amount of weight on the leg during a walk around the yard. Her surgery was the simple suture repair, not the more invasive TPLO or TTA procedures. The day after this video was made, her bandages were removed and the vet said the wound looked better than expected. She should recover quickly. Range day with Ruth and the XCR Phillip Breske 2012-02-26 | Video of my girlfriend shooting my Robinson Armament XCR-L in 5.56mm. Recorded at the Ocala Public Shooting Range in Florida. I painted the custom camouflage on the rifle using a combination of the "pine needle" technique and sponge dabs. One day I'll make a video of how I did the paint job. The rifle is a piston design by Alex Robinson. It is NOT an AR-type rifle, nor is it an AK. It's kind of a combination of the best features of both of those platforms. Mine has an Aimpoint H1 red-dot sight and shortened, fluted barrel. Ruth did well. It was not her first time firing a weapon, but it has been a looong time since she did this. She doesn't even flinch!

New tire installation on 22.5 Dayton style wheels—Camel bus conversion Phillip Breske 2011-12-24 | My bus/RV conversion needed two new tires on the front axle, so I made a video of the installation done by Wingfoot Commercial Tire Systems in Ocala, FL. The Dayton-style wheels and rims have some unique characteristics and this makes them scary to people unfamiliar with the removal and installation. Watch this video and you'll see that anyone will a little knowledge and skill can work with these assemblies. I opted to balance the tires with Dynabeads. The beads are inserted into the tire during mounting and the bag they are packaged in disintegrates when driving after a few rotations of the wheels. The beads then distribute throughout the interior of the tire to offset any imbalance condition. A 10-oz bag is the appropriate measure for the 255/70 x 22.5 tires. Jeeptoberfest 2010 in Ocala, FL Phillip Breske 2010-10-26 | Highlights from the huge Jeeptoberfest held on October 23rd & 24th at the Ocala Speedway and sponsored by the Ocala Jeep Club. Over 500 Jeeps registered for the show and trails. Three courses were available beginning with the "Stock/Modified" and "Modified" levels. The easiest course is doable by nearly any trail-rated Jeep, but the intermediate course does require a few modifications such as over-sized tires and front and rear tow points (in case they have to pull you off an obstacle). The "Extreme" off-road course is only for the bravest drivers with the biggest Jeeps. 37-inch tires are recommended and locking differentials are a requirement. I've broken the video into four sections highlighting the three off-road courses and the mud pit. Enjoy!

White Cliff Cave, Ocala Phillip Breske 2010-04-21 | The Marion County Parks and Recreation Department runs a regular ""Basic Wild Caving Experience" at the Brick City Adventure Park in Ocala, FL. It's a pretty strenuous three- to four-hour trip into an unimproved wild cave and if you're at all claustrophobic you'll want to steer clear of this adventure. The space is tight and dark (obviously), and you have to crawl and twist through a lot of small holes. There are some rooms big enough for the entire group of people to enter and stand up, but you're on your hands and knees most of the time. I made this video by strapping an extra headlamp to the side of my camcorder and aiming with one hand while crawling with the other. It was harder than I thought it would be, but worth it for the video and the awesome experience.
Everglades Safari Airboat Ride Phillip Breske 2010-04-14 | This was one of the Events and Adventures trips to the Everglades Safari Park on Tamiami Trail about 15 miles west of Miami. Wildlife all over the place and lots of noisy airboats. Fun was had by all! If you ever get a chance to ride an airboat, bring your own hearing protection. They gave us only tissue paper to stuff into our ears and it doesn't really work. (Plus, it looks silly!) I would've killed for a set of foam ear plugs.

Magazine change practice Phillip Breske 2010-04-09 | Short video of me practicing some quick magazine changes and double-taps with my XD45. Forgive the flubbed mag drop in the first half—I had problems with that mag all day. I've never had any problems with any of my magazines before today, so I made sure to give them all a good cleaning after we got home from the range. I should mention both of my XDs are modified with Powder River Precision Easy-fit Match Target Trigger kits. Much shorter take-up and virtually no over-travel with a lighter-than-stock pull weight. I heartily recommend the kits. This was at the public range near Ocala, FL.
Feral honeybee colony in Miami Phillip Breske 2010-03-29 | I have a colony of feral honeybees living in a tree stump in my yard. I noticed them about a year ago and they've been growing in numbers ever since. I used to be able to see the honeycomb inside, but today it was blocked by bee bodies. I think they clear the entrance more during the hot summer months. Shot in Standard Definition with a Canon ZR200 DV camcorder. Edited with iMovie HD and Garageband.
Hardrock ORV Park, Ocala Phillip Breske 2010-03-02 | Video from last week's visit to the Hardrock Cycle Park in Ocala, FL. The park has a section just for Jeeps and 4x4s and it was a lot of fun to test The Goat in some hills and bumps. My day ended when I almost flipped the Jeep and forced some dirt and water into the tire bead, resulting in a slow leak, but I did get a few hours of fun. Many thanks to the two Lees (Jr and Sr) for their help winching me out of the mud.
Railroad Bridge to Nowhere trail ride Phillip Breske 2009-12-21 | EDIT Oct 2011: This geocache has since been abandoned. The trail is still there and it's a neat area. The location data for this video is accurate if you want to drive out there and look around. ------ This shows the trail to geocache GC11GNN "Railroad Bridge to Nowhere" in the Ocala National Forest, Florida. The video starts near the geocache location and leads out to CR314. This geocache has a Terrain rating of 4-1/2 stars and a 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended. The camera was mounted to a roof rack on a 1999 Jeep Cherokee 4x4. I took it slow to avoid damaging the camera when pushing through the tree limbs over the trail. The Jeep was in Part-time Low for some of the ride, but I switched to Part-time High once I had passed the hairiest section. In truth I probably could have done the whole trail in High.
