$5 Resin crafting kits seem like a bad idea Art-er of Lore 2023-08-28 | *PLEASE READ* Since doing this video I have learned more about Resin and I take resin casting MUCH more seriously. Please use a glove, respirator (not just a cloth mask- a full on respirator like for housepainting) and work in a well ventilated area. This should NOT have been advertised for children as young as 8, or really any child at all.This is a little bit of a different vibe but I hope you all like it. I found this Resin kit at Five Below and tried it! Blender first attempt: trying to make a doll! Art-er of Lore 2022-12-19 | Today I'm showing you my take on a mermaid... a fish-headed mermaid! Instead of sculpting with clay, today I'm trying out the program blender. It's a free program you can use to sculpt (and even animate, but I haven't figured that out yet).Now that I'm feeling better hopefully I can get a proper doll sculpt out soon, but this was a fun experiment for me. The goal is to someday make this character a proper doll. Now that I've tried blender, maybe I can do drafts of future doll projects in it. SCULPT & PAINT HALLOWEEN SPECIAL - Ball-Jointed Pumpkin Ballerina Doll! Art-er of Lore 2022-10-30 | This is my very first "ball-jointed" full sized doll, she may be a bit wibbly wobbly around the edges but I learned so much from this project. The other dolls you can see at the end of this video have videos on the channel as well, and I have them in a playlist.Last week I didn't post anything because I was trying very hard to get this doll complete and make her the best I could (while still posting this by halloween) and I juuuuust made it! She's posted in time, whew!A couple things I forgot to clarify in the video: her pumpkin head has magnets, thats how it stays on, and I used some sticky velcro to close her skirt. Sneaky addendum: her shoes are tied on but they kept slipping so I dabbed some glue on the back of her legs to keep the shoes on. PROMPT TIME: Inspired By a Clever Art Book! Art-er of Lore 2022-09-10 | Heyo art-ers, this is a video where I sit down and chat about this book I've had since I was a little kid called "The Perfect Match" by Wayne Anderson. My mother is also an artist and I would say her aesthetic is quite similar, she tends to draw these surreal fairy-like creatures with soft edges. She actually pulled this book out of storage for me!This art book is split into four sections: hat, head, torso and feet. Though all of the sections have "correct" combinations, I decided to create a character based on flipping the sections together at random. I wish there were more art books out there like this with a sort of interactive element, its very soothing to flip through.Note: this is not affiliated with Wayne Anderson / the publishers in any way or for commercial profit. MY NEW HUION KAMVAS PRO 16 (Unboxing, show off-ing, & making art!) Art-er of Lore 2021-11-03 | [REUPLOAD- There was a very silly error on my part in the first upload so I had to re-export and reupload the whole thing. woopsie! remember to turn all your layers on b4 you export!I just got a new pen display / tablet to replace my old huion tablet. It is called the Kamvas Pro 16 / GT-156 pen display. In this video I unbox it and show you all some pieces of art I did with it and talk a little bit about how weird it is to draw with a new art supply!I did something a little different with the camera setup this time, I took camera footage so you can see the tablet itself in all its glory but I also recorded the drawing on the computer so you can see the clean drawing space right next to my hand.
