The first of many Invincible map parts! This show saved my life probably I love it so much. I made all the catified designs myself, hopefully they are recognizable. I’ll put the designs up… somewhere if people want. Anyway I love these silly teenagers, I need more moments of them just hanging out and being friends, though I doubt we’ll get much next season. Things seem like they are about to get crazy.
Anyway this part is about Mark feeling stressed about getting a potential call from Cecil. He won’t even take a moment to spend time with his friends. When Mark arrives home, he finally decides to take off his earpiece and decompress. So definitely not canon 😭.

Jackrabbit: Windclan appreciation MAP part 19

Saxophone Seal 2024-06-29 | I’m so so happy I got a part in this MAP, Windclan has always been my favorite clan. My favorite characters had already gotten picked but I decided to use Hawkheart, a really interesting character in my opinion. I’m lowkey a Hawkheart defender, yes killing Moonflower was cruel but he didn’t break the code, Moonflower attacked his clan and tried to destroy his supplies. Her death was still a tragic outcome of that pointless battle. Here’s my notes on this part:

Hawkheart is windclan's fiercest fighter, but after realizing hurting other cats isn't the only way to help his clan, he trains under Chiveclaw to become a healer. But he continues to watch his clan mates suffer and die, before he can even help them. When Thunderclan unjustly attacks his clan and Moonflower tries to destroy his medicine supply before a harsh winter, Hawkheart reverts to his old ways and slaughters her without hesitation. Bluepaw accuses him of breaking the warrior code, and Hawkheart is horrified that he let his bloodlust get the better of him and resulted in orphaning two apprentices.

I Revolve solar system shipping MAP part 18 (Scavengers Reign)

Saxophone Seal 2024-05-03 | GUYS EVERYTHING IS PERFECT. The art is alright, the editing is fine, BUT THE CONCEPT. Ever since I watched Scavengers Reign after that hype trailer dropped, and Azi was revealed to be a woman-kisser, I knew I had to do a shipping map part with them. The lyrics of this part perfectly lend itself to telling Azi and Mia’s story in the show. I won’t spoil what happens because everyone and their mother should watch Scavengers Reign, I know it’s recent but it is so underrated. The pallet and space theme are also fairly close to the planet setting and character designs in the show. Everything worked out perfectly, conceptually at least.
Also they are both women, Azi has her hair buzzed and characters in this show don’t have cartoon eyelashes so it’s visually hard to tell.

Saxophone Seal 2024-05-03 | Why the hell is this partially blocked?

I was shown an edit of Eren with this song, that was the first time I heard it. Two days later ButterflyCat hosted this map. I fortunately snagged a nice long part with the audio I wanted. Yeah, this song is extremely Eren coded. This map part was finished right before the AoT finale released, so I wasn’t aware of that certain… twist. I started audibly screaming during that reveal, I could not believe my ears. The art here isn’t great but you can see I’m getting out of that phase of just straight up drawing humans badly. I like to think it gets better from here. Also this was the first and only time I edited a MAP part in adobe after effects. I doubt I’ll be using it again. Almost 6 months later I haven’t touched that application.

Anyway, gay Warrior cats! What could be better than that? (Actual canon gays 🙄)
I wanted a rare pair and most of the MLM warriors ships are somewhat mainstream. But I did have the idea for Swiftpaw x Gorsepaw. Two first-arc apprentices who died tragically before becoming warriors. AND both of their deaths were a direct consequence of Tigerstar’s actions. I imagine they met and bonded over the loss of their future at the claws of the same villain. Maybe they even talked at gatherings before death, who knows? Here I have them being melancholy in Starclan, and then deciding to move on, where they encounter a meteor shower. Don’t ask me how those are in the after life.
