HWJ Challenge: Ravenhome Inhibitd 2025-10-06 | Lyra8, Akai 2000xl (samples and sequencing), Kodamo Essencefm, TC M300 fx1 output of the kodamo is going through the Lyra (with extra granular and verb from VCV) , and another is going through the FX. Still working on a workflow for upcoming live sets and emoms.... I havent had the kodamo for long and trying to make the best of my limited setup.
HWJ challenge:FM hex manifold (Wilson CPS 6-1) Inhibitd 2025-09-29 | My first track made on the essence fm Sequenced the midi in the DAW and imported into EFMThese are timbres made by turning the Germanic, Anglo-Saxon and Norse Runes into cubes then reducing to XYZ binary. The binary then becomes harmonic switches producing the runic formants associated with the scripts.From there I turned the harmonic series into waveforms to be used in the EFM.After that I made FM synthesis voices out of "bind runes" and serial formulae (using my 40 years of experience with runes) that carry specific magical effects suitable for the various sections and ideas in the track.Thanks goes to Brad Lorenz and his excellent "Runemaster3 into the depths" book and all the help he gave me. Best chance meeting ever!

Its been a while since I've seriously made dance music, and was great fun. Its all in maths based harmonic tunings using Erv Wilson's methods, I didn't want it to jar too much so used tunings with low order harmonics. The hurlers and the Pipers retold (drone day 2025/Hardware Jam) Inhibitd 2025-05-24 | This is my retelling of the story of the hurlers - originally they were turned to stone for playing on the sabbath. Ive used FRMS granular synth on android tablet running mostly oscillators in FM. The lyra and the doggies are dry using the natural reverb in the roundhouse. Recorded on the phone filming it.The footage and photos from the Hurlers were taken last monday while playing the monday night Hardware jam streamthrough to the sheep and the stones. Which they enjoyed immensely.Whole thing was mastered with Apqualiser, spectral compressor (providing a little bit of colour and up/down compression) and Apunmask also from apulsoft.Im fairly happy with the results considering the super minimal setup.

A message to America (Slendro) Inhibitd 2023-11-12 | This is my first time getting to know the VERY powerful free module from Lamejuis (took quite a bit of practice even then its unpredictable to my brain) . Its meant to make Pythagorean scales/JI through harmonic steps and logic but.. I put it through Scalar instead! The speech is public domain and is Eisenhower's resignation speech - I felt it was quite apt considering the state of geopolitics at the moment.

I used Hetrick modules to make polyrhythms/swing in this one (had a little experience but I haven't mastered these modules by any means. 9 note unequal octave/temperament.Host FX (running Apverb by Apulsoft) and scalar are paid modules.
