Land Rover Dormobile Camper Conversion: An overview Classic Working Vehicles 2020-05-11 | This video gives a brief overview of our Land Rover Defender Dormobile camper (mainly the interior). I carried out the conversion 8 years ago starting with a brand new 110 pick-up (a cancelled export order fitted with air-con). After first converting it to a hardtop I spent about 6 months modifying the Landie to for adventure travel. Since it was completed in 2012 we have been on many trips to Africa and all over Europe. It’s a vehicle I still love and here’s what I’ve learnt…Oh, and sorry about the typos that somehow crept into the captions!
Rolls Royce Meteor (Merlin) test run Classic Working Vehicles 2008-12-09 | Test running a 27 litre Rolls Royce Meteor. The Meteor is a tank engine derived from the Merlin aircraft engine (in fact it is basically a Merlin but with no supercharger). In this clip the engine has a timing problem so misfires somewhat! This engine will eventually be going into a Bentley chassis.
