It was also a good opportunity to play around with the M1, which I'd been meaning to do for a while! I think it has a nice nostalgic feeling.Don't let the Mania gameplay in the background fool you; this is mostly based on the original song from S&K.Incidentally, I never realized how repetitive the original song is until now. I guess if the song is catchy enough, then that's where all your attention goes. Putting Bad Romance over it can also help.

I tried to balance not making it too dark and dreary. In the end, maybe this one's vibe is somewhere between that of the two official ending themes haha.Ending themes usually have the Theme of Eastern Story motif in them so I incorporated that here as well, but I tried to spice things up too.
[Touhou-Style Original] 東方近状況 〜 Falsified Wonders - On the Other Side of Where the Road Originates bebn legg 2025-08-23 | The stage 4 theme from 東方近状況 〜 Falsified Wonders, a prediction album put together by @consonancesdissonances6081 of the then-upcoming Fossilized Wonders's tracks.This song was made after the demo release, so I did have a good grasp of what instruments to use at least. Though the demo's tracks were quite different from the Touhou songs that came before, I think I ironically ended up giving this song a bit of a nostalgic classic Touhou feel. That being said, the strings playing over the piano certainly feels like Fossilized Wonders, and it was quite fun to do.By the way, the Japanese title has a pun that's hard to properly translate. [Touhou-Style Original] 東方近状況 〜 Falsified Wonders - The Blue Horizon Leads to the Future bebn legg 2025-08-23 | The stage 1 theme from 東方近状況 〜 Falsified Wonders, a prediction album put together by @consonancesdissonances6081 of the then-upcoming Fossilized Wonders's tracks.This song was made before the demo release, where my only frame of reference was the teaser screenshots in the announcement post. I tried to keep the instrumentation and composition authentic to an official Touhou game, but it was a pleasant surprise to see how off I was. I was basing it off the instruments used in the previous games, and trying to think where it could go from there. In the end, I guess you could say the Future that the Blue Horizon was Leading to was all the Native Instruments stuff the actual game uses haha.I tend to be a fan of early-game music, not just in Touhou, but in general, because of how upbeat it is.
