Ireland Staycation Tinyboots Travels Ireland 2025-10-07 | Is this the cutest airbnb in Northern Ireland? This is @the_oaks_luxury_lodges which is just outside Derry city. I absolutely loved it! It is the perfect getaway location for this time of year. It’s soooo cosy and it’s situated beside the most BEAUTIFUL woods - the orange leaves look SO GOOD right now! There’s 3 cabins on site, 2x person and 4x person cabins (or families upto 5). And the best part? All the huts have their own hot tubs. The one I stayed in also had a cold plunge! @elizabethkeenanx and I stayed in the hot tub for 2 HOURS and literally had to pull ourselves out because it is so unbelievably relaxing - I don’t think you’re meant to stay in this long!? There’s also a fire pit, how cute would it be sitting around with your friends making smores?There is an adventure centre on site and you can also access one of Ireland/ Northern Ireland’s longest forest trails - there is over 28km of path through 5 woods! You can feel it in the air for hours beforehand as people crowd around waiting for it to begin.After a 4 year break, Macnas was back this year to tell the story of La Loba - the collector of Bones. The Dingle Sea Safari was wilder than I expected! You speed around the coast iin a RIB, kitted out in full waterproof gear, holding on for dear life – and loving every second of it.Along the way we spotted puffins, seals chilling on the beach, and dolphins swam right alongside us 😍 If you visit at the right time of year, you might even spot a basking shark - sadly I went too late to see them this year!It’s bumpy, salty, and such great fun – definitely not your average boat trip. As the time grew closer, I started putting this video together, to remind myself of all the incredible moments I've shared with friends over the last couple of years. But the more clips that went into the timeline, I began to feel like something was "wrong" every time I thought about the move. For the first time in my life, I wasn't feeling this way because of anxiety (which has influenced the direction of my life constantly). It was something else.Friends have quite literally turned my life around in recent years, whether they know it or not. And now I was about to leave them behind. I ended a relationship a few years back and it was a big one. For a long long time afterwards, I spent my time isolated and alone. Feeling as though I'd had something I couldn't ever replace, I promised myself I wouldn’t rely on a romantic partner again. Instead, I focused on the people who loved me for all the right reasons— friends.In recent years, I've found people who feel like home, and my love for them is so on par with romantic love that I haven’t missed having a partner in the slightest. I always wanted to find platonic love, and these memories ooze just that for me—special moments with special people. It turns out that was the feeling in the pit of my stomach. Knowing that deep down, I didn’t want to leave that behind.So for now, my change is moving to Dublin City with plans to do some travelling here and there. And right now that's enough for me.
