ANDROID | 機械人形 (Full Audio) UNiP 2017-11-11 | This track was written after I spent a full day watching Blade Runner. Musically, it was inspired by the brilliant scores of not only the original BR by Vangelis, the new one by Hans Zimmer & Benjamin Wallfisch, but also the TRON:Legacy score by Daft Punk & Joe Trapanese and the Oblivion score by M83 & Joe Trapanese. Although not 100% intentional, I think with the development of the track, it morphed from a fully synthesized wall of sound into the final section with almost exclusively human elements (i.e. real/live instruments). Although at the end of the day everything was still samples, I think it gets the message across. Aaaaaand I attached a little teaser of the upcoming project. Hope you enjoy that as well.-UNiP

IMMORTAL (AJIN -MAIN THEME- Re:IMAGINED by UNiP) UNiP 2016-05-09 | It's been a while since the last upload. I could have started working on this and uploaded this much earlier, but earlier this year my laptop was stolen which stopped everything for a bit and I also happened to have a hard drive failure whilst working on this, so it took me an extra two months to really resurrect this track. Now the track itself. The track, as the title suggests, is based on Mr. Yugo Kanno's fantastic main theme to the AJIN series. Somehow I feel like it is a very heroic, Hollywood-ish theme, so I kind of naturally turned toward a sound like that when doing this track, without really realizing this is becoming too big for the series. Nevertheless I still compiled a quick edit with footage from the series (kudos to Polygon Pictures for being awesome) to go along with the track, but I'm fully aware that the footage is not the best representative of the music. Over the period of this few days, I got the chance to listen to so many great covers using my backing track, that I couldn't resist my temptation to do my own cover. Since I can't speak Japanese or German, I rewrite the lyrics in English and recorded my own vocals over it. The lyrics were inspired by the plot so far.
