We hooked up a laptop to the television with an HDMI cable and used the laptop's bluetooth connectivity to communicate with the Wii Remote. We were then able to use the Wii Sensor Bar as an Infra-red tracking mechanism to relate our position relative to the television and render the imagery accordingly. The results were quite impressive. Note that the laptop is what actually runs the VR software. The Wii Remote and Sensor Bar are simply used to relay positional information back to the laptop. We are compiling instructions for you to do this yourself at http://limelightdev.net/wii-sensor-bar-vr
Thanks to Johnny Lee (http://johnnylee.net) for developing this wonderful application, and we're looking forward to seeing this sort of technology evolve in the future!GP2X Wiz custom shortcuts inside Wiz Games menugp2xwizinfo2009-11-11 | Tutorial from http://gp2xwiz.info which demonstrates how to create custom shortcuts which appear inside the "Wiz Games" menu. This method was done using Windows XP, and it should also work within Windows Vista / 7.
The advantage of setting up a menu of shortcuts is the fact that you can access all of your emulators from a single screen instead of having to use the "Launcher" to find the emulator directory and manually launch the corresponding .gpe file.
Special notes:
I have an option set up in my Windows Explorer folder view to always show file extensions. So for instance, rather than a file saying "File1" it will say "File1.txt". I find it much more convenient to always see file extensions, especially when performing tweaks and edits to the Wiz file system.
To have Windows always display file extensions:
Go to "Tools : Folder Options" in the windows explorer menu for any open folder. (You might find it preferable to have the Wiz's SD Card folder open).
When the "Folder Options" window appears, go to the "View" tab. Under "Advanced settings" make sure the option "Hide extensions for known file types" is unchecked.

This is a Linux based, open-source portable gaming device (try saying that 10 times fast). It boasts more powerful hardware than a Sony PSP and is capable of playing tens of thousands of our favorite retro games. I first bought this device a month ago, and my hobby has turned into an obsession. I've had so much fun playing my old favorite console games ... not to mention the countless arcade games which I used to spend buckets of quarters on.
I'm also putting together some resources for fellow enthusiasts who are experimenting with their new GP2X Wiz systems. I've figured out a lot of things by trial and error, so hopefully the learning curve can be reduced for everyone else.
Some other great news is that these systems are now available in the USA. You can visit http://shop.gp2xwiz.info for one of the best sources to purchase this.
