Prep Focus Week 13 is all about safety and security. This week we encourage you to:
1. Evaluate your security risk. What are your threats?
2. Walk around the outside of your home and critically evaluate with new eyes. Is the lighting adequate? Are doors and windows secure? Where are the weak points where someone could potentially enter? Make a list of areas to focus on strengthening.
3. What can you do to make your home a less appealing target? Dogs? Avoid keeping high-ticket items where they are visible outside your home.
4. Are security cameras a good idea for your situation? Are they positioned correctly and not easily hacked.
5. Do you have a safe room? Should you make one?
6. Do you have working carbon monoxide and smoke detectors? Fire extinguishers that are charged and easy to access. Fire blankets?
