3 Awesome American Aircraft Featured: MV-22B Osprey Flight Leader Evaluation, AH-64 Apache Aerial Gunnery Qualifications, and C-17 Cockpit Oklahoma 'America Strong' First Responders Solidarity Flyover.
The first event took place April 30, 2020, at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar and involved USMC MV-22B Ospreys assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 362, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing — they successfully completed a flight leadership evaluation that included a large airborne contingent of six aircraft.
The second training event culminated May 1, 2020, at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and involved Soldiers from 2nd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) — over a two week period, and while adhering to strict social distancing guidelines, an entire battalion successfully completed aerial gunnery qualifications.
And the third and final event, which took place May 1, 2020, features an inspiring cockpit view from a C-17 Globemaster as it participated in an aerial 'salute' to Oklahoma's frontline medical responders.
