And of, course, they were both proposed to by snobbish duds. A very simply style in effects, but videos with classic Disney songs rarely need super-epic effects to be powerful, I've discovered. Enchanted by the images she sees inside the looking-glass in her dressing room, she goes inside it, and finds herself in the strange world of "Wonderland". And in this world is a strange companion waiting there for her - athough she's not exactly who he expected... I think Christine would have quite a marvelous time in Underland, personally, since she's likely to believe in...*cough* anything... although I do wonder how well she had the Hatter would get along. Personally, I can see this couple working out to be quite cute :3 I am considering extending this MEP part into a longer video, but it all depends on how much time I have. My MEPs ;; V O L U M E 2 DragonHeart06 2010-06-08 | *~* All About Us: My first attempt at femmeslash, and I'm already excited to do more in the future! The couple choice was rather random, but it works suprisingly well. I'm especially happy with the beginning, when Meg and Mulan are sitting by the flowers. The story is fairly simple; Meg and Mulan are in love with each other, but one day Mulan's father catches them together. Furious, he forbids Mulan to ever see Meg again. When Mulan tries to fight back, he calls her a disgrace to the family for falling in love with another woman. Hurt and confused, Mulan untimatly decides that she can't deny her love for Meg, even if her own father considers it wrong - and she runs away. *~* Drop In The Ocean: Very sweet and simple, but I rather like it. The song fits Beast/Belle so well; they've been my favorite Disney couple for a long time, and I thought this tender and melancholy song was a perfect representation for their relationship. *~* Everything You Want: This is actually my favorite MEP part to date. The texture I used works remarkably well, and I think I used the effects in a pretty great way. Also: Aladdin/Tiana is my new favorite crossover couple. That balcony scene works so well when they're together. Expect more videos of them in the future. The story is: Tiana is engaged to Naveen, who in pretty much every respect is the perfect man. She's fooled herself into thinking she loves him, but it slowly dawns on her that, though he may be perfect, Naveen just isn't perfect for her. At her engagement party, Tiana stands on her balcony, confused and unsure of what to do, and begins to cry. But someone is around to hear her cry - her long time friend Aladdin, who is secretly in love with her. He shows up, much to Tiana's surprise, and tries to tease her into a smile. But Tiana just rolls her eyes and tells him to get lost - and so he does (and gives her a good scare in the process). But then he offers her the chance to run away from the world for a while, for once acting totally sincere and giving Tiana the chance to see him in a new light - and Tiana is very tempted to take that chance... *~* Somebody Told Me: Crack vid much? XD But hell, it was fun to make! But GOD those flashes. I am not going to try to synch so many flashes to beats in a very, very long time. D: But this vid is so cracky, I like it. I especially like the very end xD Basically, the Beast is in love with Kiara, who is in love with the Beast's ex, Belle [shuttup, Disney supports beastiality as far as I'm concerned]. When Kiara doesn't show up one night, Cogworth is forced to tell him the truth (poor guy), and of course, the Beast is furious. He bolts to Kiara's room (where she and Belle are...?....I'll let you fill in the gaps to your liking) and demands for Kiara to explain herself. But Belle and Kiara aren't the type to take shit from anyone, and just ends up giving the Beast a hard time. Obviously, the Beast has to re-think the way he's handling girls xD *~* Blame It On The Pop: I LOVE THIIIS. IT WAS SO MUCH FUUUUUN. 8D So for this MEP, we're trying to use every feature Disney film made [discluding sequels]. Each part is divided with different 'sets' of films to use - and since The Lion King and Hunchback of Notre Dame are my favorite Disney films of all time, of course I leaped for that set. Pocahontas and A Goofy Movie were also included. I've never used A Goofy Movie before, and athough I probablt wont use it again in the future, it was fun to use :3
La M O N T U R E - Notre Dame de Paris [{My Dubbing & Translation}] DragonHeart06 2010-06-07 | **READ FIRST!!!* Song: La Monture From: Notre Dame de Paris This is just something I decided to try the other day for fun. I didn't expect anything of it, but I was suprised by how much I liked my own singing of this song. It has a lot of problems, especially since the song is veeery low for me, but you know what? Six months ago, when I thought about trying to sing this song, I laughed. The fact that this actually came out half-decent makes me pretty happy. I like the second verse in particular - I think I have much better control in that section. And about the lyrics...I love the French version of this song, but I can't sing in French to save my life, so I tried the original English translation. I didn't like it very much, but a while ago I wrote my own English translation of the song, and I decided to give that a try. Those words you hear are my own translation, yes. It's not perfect, especially since translating is usually a bitch for me to do, and this song in particular is a helluva hard song to translate since every word has to rhyme. But apart from a sentence or word here or there, I actually really like this translation. I think it captures the sense of vengance and desperation that was conveyed in the original a bit better then the London translation. This was more about practicing the voice for a certian character then just showing off my chops - I really wanted her hatred and vindiciveness to be apparent through my characterization, and I think I did that. Fleur-de-Lis is also my favorite character in the show (next to Quasimodo, of course), and a highly underrated and misunderstood one in my opinion. I aint not Julie Zenatti, but I hope I did Fleur some justice :)

The two fight about it, both being particularly harsh, ending with hurt feelings for both. Ariel, furious as Quasimodo, then bluntly states that Prince Erik as proposed to her...and that she accepted. Quasimodo, shocked, clings to the belief that it's all just a lie that Ariel made up in her spite, but he is crushed when he's proved wrong. Prince Erik and Ariel do indeed marry, and Quasimodo attents, silently crying in the shadows, the love of his life now gone forever. Ariel is overwhealmed by the jovility of her marrige, but when she wakes up the next morning, she realizes that she has made a terrible, terrible mistake. True, Prince Erik is handsome and dashing, but Quasimodo was the kindest, bravest man Ariel had ever known - and the love of her life. She had tossed him aside out of temper and vanity, and is now left with nothing in her loveless marrige, the love in her life all gone and wasted thanks to her. She then tries to find Quasimodo, but is told that his body was found in front of Notre Dame, having killed himself the night before as she and Erik were wed. What was supposed to be the greatest moment of her life instead became her worst nightmare. Now, she is trapped, overcome, and all alone. Inspired by the ending of the German musical counterpart of the Disney film, called Der Glockner Von Notre Dame. Check it out, it's awsome. The night of the battle of Notre Dame, Quasimodo saved Esmeralda from the stake, but he was still too late. Esmeralda is now dead (for real), and though Frollo is gone and Quasimodo is free, he cannot be happy. He mourns Esmeralda's death and continues to hide up in the bell tower. Many times he hears Esmeralda's voice ringing out through the church, and Quasimodo grows hopeful until she realizes it's just his desperate and traumatized imagination. After many months, Quasimodo has driven himself to the edge of madness with his grief. He can't take hiding up in the bell tower anymore, but he's still very much afraid to venture into the real world without his dear friend beside him. But Esmeralda wouldn't have wanted him to be upset and hide for the rest of his life, Quasimodo realizes. He decides to take a chance and venture into the city, and not have Esmeralda's hopes and kindness towards him be in vain. On the day Quasimodo goes out, he sees a young girl dancing in the street. She looks and dances nothing like Esmeralda did, but Quasimodo is drawn to the innocent and kind smile on her face. Unexpectedly, the woman (Ariel) notices him as well. At first Quasimodo is very shy, but Ariel just smiles at him playfully, drawing him out of his shell. He asks her why she isn't replused by his uglness, but she simply taps her throat, and Quasimodo realizes that she cannot speak. They are both outcasts. Things go well with the two of them, until one day Quasimodo gets angry at himself for "forgetting" about Esmeralda in his happiness, and accidentaly takes his frusterations out on Ariel. She runs out of the belltower crying, and Quasimodo feels terrible. He spends many hours mulling over his emotions for both Esmeralda and Ariel - he's afraid that if he loves Ariel, it would be like betraying Esmeralda. But he finally comes to terms with the fact that Esmeralda only would have wanted Quasimodo to be happy, and he finally realizes his true feelings for Ariel. *ENDING - SPOILERS!* But once again he is too late. Phoebus comes and tells Quasimodo that he saw Ariel dive into the water, and even though he went in after her, she didn't re-surface. Quasimodo is distraught, guilty and worried that what he told her might have caused her to kill herself. But Ariel returns, and they both finally admit their love for each other (Ariel has somehow regained her powers of speach). For the first time in a long time, Quasimodo is happy, with love in his heart and the spirit of Esmeralda evermore by his side. *Notes: None. Woooow. First full-length video in...um...ever. And I've been working on this one for a mighty long time. I'm pretty happy with my "storytelling" in this, and even though some of the manips are TERRIBLE, I'm pretty damn pleased with how this turned out. I hope you all like it! I'm thinking of making a "sister video" to this one, with the same story but in Ariel's point of view, since she only arrives halfway through this video. This video is more about Quasimodo's character development then their romance. What do you guys think? Oh, and I'm in love with this couple. Like wut :3 I should stop pairing up Quasimodo with the girls, but let's be honest here - does the man get nearly enough crossover love? No, my dearies, he does not. God Help The O U T C A S T S {{Cover]] DragonHeart06 2010-04-06 | Well, I'm in the mood for all sorts of new things this weekend, aren't I?What we've got here is a cover of the song "God Help The Outcasts" from my favorite Disney film, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. This is the absolute first time I've decided to post a solo of mine on YouTube. I'm usually very, very embarrased about singing solo and sharing my voice with other people; I had a solo in the musical this year, and I could barely get my three lines out! So why am I deciding to sing solo for you all?Well, first of all, I tried to cover this song a year ago for a Hunchback singing contest, but was waaaay too humiliated by my voice. I just couldn't convice myself that I can sing halfway decently. In reality, I loooove to sing, but I never thought I had a good voice. But I made a promise to myself this year - that I would stop putting myself down all the time, and have more confidence in myself. And the thing I'm the hardest on myself about is my singing. I've decided that if I hope to be a part of musical theatre in college, I have to stop being so embarrased by my singing and not be afraid to put myself out there, even if I'm not that great. This video if the first step in that direction.Also, I simply love this song. It is the song of my childhood. As someone often outcasted myself, this song spoke to me in ways that no other song can. Since I have just a strong personal attachment to this song, I thought I would do best with it. I've wanted to cover this song for a long time, and I'm glad I finally did.I must ask you all to be gentle in your critizisms. I have never taken a voice lesson in my life, and I realize that my voice is nothing compaired to most people on YouTube. I covered this song to help boost confidence in myself and most importantly, to have fun. I'm defenatly not going to be the next Patti LuPone, and I'm not trying to be. When I first heard about AppleDown's "Recreate a Scene" contest, I was at first like "naaah", since, as you see, I suck at dubbing. But this idea popped into my head, so I decided to give it a shot. Obviously not my best work, but there are a few things I'm proud of. I like a lot of the lip-synch (even if it was totally unintentional! XD). And really, in the end, the only reason I decided to share this is because of the manips. For someone who can't mask, I think I did a pretty good job on them ^^ Unfortunatly, my Swan Princess clips are MAJORLY messed up, and I have no idea how to fix them. I spent the majority of the day trying to render the video with the clips totally right, but in the end I gave up, so a few of the clips are a little sketchy. I apoligize. I have a feeling that I wont be making any Odette vids for a while... About the audio itself - it's the scene in the Phantom of the Opera were Raoul and Christine reunite for the first time in years after Christine's premiere at the Opera that night. Little Lotte is a poem they both knew as kids, and were the "Angel of Music" reference came from (and those who know Phantom should know who her "Angel really is). Odette is pitch perfect for Christine, but I had some problems with Dimitri as Raoul. However, I couldn't really think of anyone else who could fit the part =/ Oh whatever. Ke$ha music, as much as I hate that kind of music, is freaking addicting. I know her songs have been all over YouTube, and I try to avoid using overused songs in my vids - but gosh darn it, Ke$ha brainwashed me! I absolutly love this couple. I don't in the novel, or even in the original musical adaptation; just in the Italian production of Notre Dame de Paris. This is largely due to the actors. Lola and Matteo have such irresistable chemistry on stage, I fell in love with them together very quickly. They are so remarkably cute together when they interact, and I wanted to capture their flirtatious natures with this perky video! The video is a bit more a tribute of the characters these specific actors created, but I'm really starting to grow on the idea of Gringoire/Esme as a pairing in general. Of course, Esmeralda isn't in love with Gringoire, but I reckon if she did fall obsessively in love with him instead of Phoebus, there would be a loooot of trouble saved in the long run. (Why can't Esmeralda ever choose the RIGHT man to obsess over - that is, EVERY OTHER MAN BUT PHOEBUS?) Sorry for the short length, but as sad as it is, shots of these two together are very scarce. I'm also sorry if this video is too perky for such a tragic musical xD Again, if you don't know what Notre Dame de Paris is, I recommend you look it up right here on YouTube - they do have the entire show with subtitles (unfortunatly, only the French version, not the Italian, but the French is magnificent in its own way). My MEP Parts + Preview! DragonHeart06 2010-02-19 | [I hope the audio comes back soon 3=] I've been so busy lately, I haven't had much time to focus on full length projects, so I have been dedicating my focus to making MEP parts for When You Wish Disney Studios (which is amazing, by the way!) I thought I'd show you guys my recent MEP parts all in one video. I also have a preview of my next full length video, which I'm very excited to have time to work on again! MEP Parts: "A Good Night (I Gotta Feeling)" MEP - I really really like my MEP part for this. It's short, but it was so fun to make. I love the texture as well - I'll probably be doing again! "Far Away" MEP - Quasimodo/Anya is a very hard couple to pull off, but I enjoyed the challenge, and overall, I'm very happy with how it turned out. It might be my favorite MEP part I've made so far. It was also my first time attempting to do a crossover kiss (kinda), and it actually looks pretty legit! I'm happy =3 "(Tango) Princesse" MEP - This was my first time hosting an MEP for WYWDS. I am EXTREMELY happy both with the turn out off MEP-ers (not many people are as crazy French music fans and I am!) and the final result. I Feel Like A Woman MEP Character: Esmeralda I'm glad I did this part mostly because I experimented with Vegas and learned a lot by doing it. I really got the hand of the TV effect for this one, and I played a lot with the transitions and cookie cutters. I tend to be very conservative with my video making, but I decided to let myself go all out for this one, and I'm pretty happy with the result. I love the end in particular. Miss Independent MEP Character: Chel - I am VERY happy with this MEP part. It's probably my favorite out of all I made so far. There are one or two bits I'm not in love with, but I really love the whole thing. I was able to let myself experiment more without going too over the top, and the end result was very nice. I did a good job considering I never used El Dorado clips before =3 It was also my first time experimenting with the chroma keyer. Preview of my next full-length video: Disenchanted Lullaby : Quasimodo&Ariel I don't want to give too much of the plot away right now, but the basic set up is an alternate ending to the Hunchback movie, where Esmeralda actually dies in the end. The musical Der Glockner Von Notre Dame (and adaptation of the original movie) ends with Esmeralda's death, and it got me to thinking how Quasimodo would learn to cope in the Disneyverse rather then in the original novel. Thus, this video was born! Of what I have, there isn't any crossover yet. I'm still showing Quasimodo coping with Esmeralda's death at this point of the video. After her death, he can still hear her singing in the cathedrale - at least he thinks he can, until he realizes that all he was hearing was a long lost memory. I'm really excited to see how this will turn out when I pop Ariel in. It's a hard crossover, but I think I'm officially in love with it, in a weird way. I'm also planning on making a sister video of the same story, only in Ariel's point of view, since this first video mostly revovles around Quasi. Sorry for the long talk XD Anyway, tell me what you think!

I haven't been remarkably inspired to make AMVs of late, so I thought I'd ease my way back into production with some MEP parts and short vids. This one is not really effect-sparkly, and I like it that way. This is not a song that's supported by dazzling effects - it's a very strong song on its own. As well as one of my favorites. I thought it went well with Ariel because, like Quasimodo, she yearns to live "her day in the sun", even if everyone keeps telling her its not possible.
