#vanlife #lifeistooshort #relaxingA Rocky Start to Our Brittany Van Tour – What Went Wrong?Life is too short2025-02-21 | Join us, Carol & Ken, as we start a whole new adventure in our Consort Nova Motorhome called Snoopy. This time we are heading to Brittany in Northwest France. We board the ferry at Newhaven for the four hour crossing to Dieppe. It is great to arrive safely at our destination after a stressful start to our trip when we discovered our credit card had been hacked and our Nectar (supermarket loyalty scheme) points had been stolen. The following day starts with a special visit to fulfill a promise we made to a subscriber. Then we stop at Fécamp where a steep walk and hotter weather than we were expecting take their toll! Heading further towards Brittany we stop off at the pretty, historic town of Honfleur. We walk up to the Chapel of Notre Dame de Grace with beautiful views over the town towards Le Havre.

#vanlife #lifeistooshort #relaxingWhy I’ve Had ENOUGH – A Personal Van Life StoryLife is too short2025-02-14 | Join us, Carol & Ken, as we continue our travels in our Consort Nova Motorhome called Snoopy. This is the final episode of our series touring some of our favourite National Trust properties in South East England. We wake up after a relaxing two nights on a small campsite, Spear Ash Wood CL. After a shower we pack up the van and head to Scotney Castle. This is a fairytale, medieval castle built on a lake and superseded by a new house in the 1830’s. After exploring both properties we decide on a BritStop for the night and enjoy a tasty meal at the Bush, Blackbird & Thrush pub in East Peckham, Kent. The last property we visit on this trip is Knole, one of England’s most magnificent estates. Home to the Sackville family for over 400 years this vast estate is also home to one of the few remaining deer parks in the country.

#vanlife #lifeistooshort #relaxingBlessings in disguise.Life is too short2025-02-07 | Join us, Carol & Ken, as we continue our travels in our Consort Nova Motorhome called Snoopy. In this series we are touring some of our favourite National Trust properties in South East England. This is episode four where we visit the home of the famous Victorian actress, Ellen Terry. Smallhythe Place, built in the late 15th century, is now an interesting museum of theatre memorabilia and some of Ellen’s personal possessions. The 17th century barn in the garden was converted into a theatre, opening in 1929, and still holds performances today. Time to get out of the sun so we make a booking at Spears Ash Wood CL, a five-van site certified by the Caravan and Motorhome Club. We enjoy a relaxing couple of nights on the site, being able to sit and cook outside is great in the heat.
