VAN LIFE focuses on using and reusing existing features, reducing the carbon footprint and waste. Most parts of the car are made from recycled waste materials such as plastic, aluminum, and carbon fiber, making it lightweight, range-efficient.The interior design embodies the orbital frame concept with a structure that surrounds the cabin and enables easy attachment and detachment of various items. GAC BARCHETTA CONCEPT | Launch Film GAC Design 2022-11-03 | GAC Barchetta, GAC Car Culture Series 1 (#carcultureseries), is the first project of the design team in Milan, and took an Iconic Italian type of vehicle as an inspiration to start with: it is a two-seat sports car without a roof and windshield. The main concept of GAC Barchetta is to celebrate efficiency and simplicity that makes a design modern by splitting the project into three parts : Part 1: The chassis is ultra-flat and contains compact batteries similar in concept to a giant mobile phone. Part 2: The 'mono-material' aluminum body is lightweight, simple, and timeless, yet very distinctive.Part 3: Minimal interior features a compact drive-by-wire steering wheel and seats made from recycled plastic materials. The seats are suspended to a shell that weighs only 3 kg, and the tension on the straps provides strength for support. Stephane Janin + GAC Design GAC Design 2021-11-05 | We are happy to announce that Stephane Janin, a legendary designer behind many iconic concept cars, is joining GAC. He is appointed Director GAC Advanced Design Europe, scheduled to open in 2022. Stephane Janin joins GAC Design after 20 years at Renault where he designed and led many influential concept cars, such as the Renault EZ series and Renault Trezor. During his time at Renault, he also worked with various brands within the group umbrella and partners, including Dacia, Alpine, Samsung, Infiniti and Nissan, in various design studios located in France, Spain, South Korea, and Japan. In the design industry, Janin is widely known as “the master of concept cars” and his sketches are highly regarded as works of art. He is a graduate of the Royal College of Art in the United Kingdom. GAC Advanced Design Europe is scheduled to open in 2022, and will be located in Milan, the capital of fashion, art, and design. Please stay tuned for additional updates.
