[Previous WR] Defeat Ganon No SRM in 11:41!! Daniel Baamonde 2024-02-14 | The first world record for this category set with the new gamecube-only Dynawarp glitch that is capable of warping anywhere in the game! This saved more than a minute over the previous route mostly due to being able to warp straight to ganon, bypassing the tower collapse cutscene. This is my first (and probably only) world record in this category, really hyped to have been a part of this discovery, route development, and getting my name in the WR history of another category! This beat the previous WR of 11:47 by lozoots set on the previous route, and was retimed to exactly 11:41.317.

Kakariko HESS Gate Clip From BotW Daniel Baamonde 2024-01-26 | To potentially be used in the Ganonfloor route for Defeat Ganon No SRM speedruns. Getting the camera to give you the correct angle when climbing out of the well can be a bit finicky. Without consistent movements and timings, you might often get 0x10 units off the correct angle. I've found that I get very good consistency by not holding down during the loading zone fade-in so I don't accidentally move when turning around for the backflip into the water, not holding target too long before the backflip input, and releasing Z on the way up when link's right arm is at the very back of his stroke (or a bit after) on the 5th or 6th swim animation as shown in the video.

Bypass the first mud wall, head up to hit the switch, then leave and re enter the dungeon. Go around the fog load between the main room and the bomb chest, then dupe the main room 3 times. Adult Navi Dive From Zoras River to Lost Woods Daniel Baamonde 2024-01-11 | Super easy option if you have navi available. You can make this faster by skipping having to climb out of the water. Just target the small pillar on the side with the water behind you, be pretty far right on the pillar, stab recoil (flying into the water means you weren't far enough right), and jumpslash+navi dive from there. You won't get the free hold-up swim but its still easy.
Big Poe Master Sword Only With Slash Extension Daniel Baamonde 2023-11-29 | Jumpslashes and triple slashes extend their hitboxes little by little with repeated pauses. I'm using this fact to hit the Big Poe that usually requires other items, or Epona.New tech discovered here: youtube.com/watch?v=YGVTdg6xB5wI spent about 5 hours getting this to work. The jumpslash extended hitbox goes down a little bit, and since big poe's spawn above the ground and don't follow downhills, I thought it would be impossible. I tried for a very long time with triple slash extension, but the problem is you need two hits, and the poe got too far away after the first hit to hit it again. That may still be possible by using lunge storage to get closer to the poe on the very first slash but that just means pausing 120 times twice in a row lol. The epiphany for getting jumpslash to work was to spawn the big poe on a downhill to start. While it won't go downhill after spawning, it DOES snap down the ground upon spawning (thank you cadmic!!) so it will be just barely below you enough to hit! The extended hitbox only just barely makes it as well. If it required a handful more pauses, it wouldn't work because the value that extends it would wrap back to 0.

I'm using this fact to hit the underground Volvagia hitbox that we usually hit with bombs or bombchus. New tech discovered here: youtube.com/watch?v=YGVTdg6xB5wMight be the fewest prerequisites needed for volv, just hammer, sword, and 5 hearts (though I think you could get away with 4 hearts if you did timer stops with a trade item). You could do it with just hammer too, but you'd need a lot more health, either by letting a fly cycle happen, or using the sword extension glitch with a jumpslash from much further away. You'd need like 85 pauses per hit rather than the 26 I used here with sword, and since the timer also ticks one frame between pauses, that would waste over 4 seconds per hit just on pausing.

Jabu As Adult With 2 Bombs (No Hover Boots) Daniel Baamonde 2023-04-18 | This is a tough one. Important points to highlight:-After dropping the first bomb mid backflip, there are a few branching options for what to do next:1) If you pause on the first landing frame, sidehop left on that frame and hold down and release Z during the sidehop. After link turns around, continue to hold down for one more frame.2) If you pause on the second landing frame (without having paused on the first), sidehop left on that frame, and hold down and release Z during the sidehop. Stop holding down as soon as Link turns around.3) If you pause on the third landing frame (without having paused on either of the first two) sidehop left on that frame, and hold up and Z through the landing until you're stuck on the ledge. Turn around once stuck and place the bomb from there.4) Sidehop left unbuffered on the first landing frame.-The window to pull the second bomb is 9 frames starting on the first frame you stick on the edge of the ice after sliding (subject to small variation depending on which of the above 4 choices you make). If you pull it first frame, you will have to begin the megasidehop inputs asap after turning in the hover. If you pull it last frame, you will have to sidehop into the hover on the first frame after sliding from the neutral roll. If you pull it too soon, it will explode too soon for you to get the megasidehop. If you pull it too late, you won't have enough time to get into position for sidehopping into the first bomb's explosion for the hover. -Make sure you don't pause during the ice slide after rolling away from the second bomb. You want the entire slide to finish naturally and pausing stops ice slides.-Make sure you have left stance when sidehopping into the bomb hover or the shield won't be in the right spot to stick on the explosion. If you follow all the instructions you should have left stance, but if you dont and you have enough time before sidehopping to fix it, you can tap ess left for 1 frame, release R after the second frame of link changing stances, then hold R again after 1 or more frames.-Make sure you don't hold R after sticking the hover. You're untargeted so once the damage goes away, you'll crouch and kill ISG if R is held.-You have to turn around for at least 2 frames in the hover before you can target, otherwise you'll target the stone wall.-If for some reason you megasidehop on the first possible frame after the roll rather than the second, you can still make it work. Release R on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th frame of the sidehop, then jumpslash on the 5th.
