SkyWall Patrol drone net-capture used with a jammer - A layered counter drone defence. OpenWorks 2021-05-20 | This C-UAS system integration demonstration hosted by ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH, lead integrator of the GUARDION C-UAS system, shows SkyWall Patrol being used in a "Stun & Gun" scenario. The inbound drone is first detected, then a Jammer is activated to "stun" the drone, effectively activating the drones built-in fail-safe and causing it to hover briefly. The SkyWall Patrol mobile unit can be forward deployed as soon as the drone is detected, providing a physical capture capability around a large site. The operator then quickly engages the drone to capture it in a specifically designed drone entangling net. Once captured the SkyWall Patrol operator can quickly reload to engage a second inbound drone, which in this scenario was hardened to the effects of the signal jamming and needed SkyWall to defeat the device.
