Yay! Finally I got to cover a track from Plants vs. Zombies! I loved the game and I think the soundtrack is brilliant, one of my favorites!
I found this one to be the most suitable to being "metalized" haha, although there are many ideas I have for other tracks, maybe in the future :) This is one of my favorites from the OST so I hope I made justice to it ^_^

Fantasy, Finally! If you were wondering where the heck were my FF XVI covers, well here's one! And I'll have anotha one next week. That's the plan for now, then some other stuff, we'll see how it goes.
As an FF fan, I should prob give my 2 cents: I really enjoyed playing this game. It has some really high highs, and unfortunately some low lows. Overall I definitely did like it, but it won't crack my Top5 FFs.
Nevertheless, it's one of the Final Fantasies, I don't buy the "not real FF!" narrative or anything like that.
And also, BANGER soundtrack. So many good tunes. Feels great to cover Soken's music from a game I actually played!

It's time for more Octopath Traveler II! While I don't have a favorite character in the game, I do have a favorite character THEME, and that is the masterpiece you hear here known as Ochette, the Hunter!
Wow I just love this theme so much! It starts very mysterious and moody, then gets upbeat and fun, and THEN it goes into full epic orchestral badassery. What's not to love?
Anyways, I hope I did it justice, probably the cover I felt the most anxious about, since I love the original so much. I hope I didn't ruin it haha

Dang, this one really goes HARD! Everytime it played in game it got me so hype. It isn't technically a battle theme (more like a set piece theme that bleeds into battles) but it definitely feels like one!

Man it's so much fun to play these Octo songs, hope you're enjoying them too! Next time I'll be back with a classic SNES jRPG though, just a little detour before we go back to Octo2 :)

I finally beat this game and 100% it... which means, it's time for covers! Wow it's hard to choose where to begin. Maestro Nishiki once again blessed us with an amazing soundtrack that I think surpasses even his insane work from the first game. It's been a minute now since the game came out so I hope it isn't too "spoilery" to use an advanced Boss Battle theme heh :)

CHAOS;HEAD NoAH Find The Blue | Instrumental Guitar Version by Ferdk

Ferdk 2023-02-03 | Hey there friends! This is the main opening theme for Chaos;Head NoAH, a great psychological thriller visual novel that recently released on steam!

For those of you that don't know, NoAH is the prequel to Steins;Gate (another fantastic VN I've done song covers for on this channel), as both games are part of the larger Science Adventure series that build toward a large scale epic overarching plot involving these characters and their lives going into adulthood.

Be warned, despite being a prequel, NoAH has a different cast and darker tone than Steins;Gate, but it's still great and worth your time! However, and I can't stress this enough, if you want to play this game on steam, be SURE you use the Committee of Zero fan patch for it first, as it fixes numerous glitches/game crash bugs and translation errors in the messy steam port as of right now.

I had the pleasure to work alongside fellow latin americans on this Castlevania tribute album for GameGrooves!
This project was led by the amazing Thennecan, who also featured on this track of mine, as well as arranged 3 other songs in the album!
Pokerus Project and ThePlasmas joined us in the arranging department, we did 3 arrangements each for a total of 12 bangin' metal tracks!
The whole album features a full band sound brought by the amazing Leo Miyata (Drums), Yamil Majluf (Bass) and Gabriel León (Keyboards). The album was then mixed and mastered by James C. Hoffman, and the incredible artwork was done by DieValquiria!

I'm super proud of the work we did, and the honor to have played alongside these amazing musicians from the region. I hope you like what we did!

Dunno about you guys but I'm pretty hyped for Crisis Core Reunion! Still aways to go but I'm curious if there's gonna be anything added to it. I know they said they won't touch the story but those that played REMAKE probably are with me thinking they're hiding something :P
Anyways, the music in this game rocks! This is one of the many battle themes in the game and I felt in the mood to play along when Reunion was announced. After working on some other priority things and moving to a new place I managed to finish this one and here it is!

I looooove this game! I beat it so many times, and the soundtrack is killer! This opening for Zero's route goes so hard. It even has a synth guitar solo, which I tried to replicate (with some creative liberties). Hope I did it justice!

Undertale anniversary Sept 15th! I didn't have the time to work on any bigger project but I still wanted to pay my dues to the game that allowed me to dedicate myself to music. And I figured a good way to do that was to revisit the song that started it all for me :) Thank you Toby for making this game and changing many lives (mine included)

Eventually I want to revisit most of my covers and maybe make an album or something, but couldn't fit it into my schedule for this year, maybe next year? :)

After I did Saber's Edge last month, I felt pretty confident tackling another orchestral track and adding some guitars and drums in the background. Phew, this one took a while! Hope it's worth the wait :D I've always loved this soundtrack and especially this track is among my favorites in the whole franchise! I haven't covered it before because I think what drives this song is the bombastic energy of the orchestra and I didn't want to simply transcribe all that to guitar since my guitar chops aren't good enough to cover all that epicness and fullness, so I waited until my orchestrations sounded good enough. I think they do now!
This one's more of a "producer" track than a "performer" track, since my guitar parts are fairly simple and minimal, but that's what I envisioned in my head and I'm super satisfied with the end result. Hope you dig how this turned out!

I got asked about this track a few weeks ago because it's one of the tracks that got purged alongside the Materia Community albums so when I considered re-releasing, I felt I had a good chance to improve on its sound (while keeping the arrangement faithful to my original take on it). Heyo friends, here's a remaster of one of my Materia songs that got removed in the Materia Community album purge. I took the opportunity to give it a little update on the mastering, but since it's a pretty unique arrangement for me I decided to keep it mostly as-is! Some of the guitar sounds are a bit outdated to my current standards but the overall arranging and remixing feels quite unique so I wanted to preserve that original vibe of it :)

So I had this one prepped and ready back in december cuz I thought that's when the Pixel Remaster would drop haha but guess not! The time finally came so here's my remastered version of Terra's Theme, Symphonic Metal Version ;)
This is such an iconic song not only for this game but the entire franchise, and a personal favorite of mine (even though I never beat FFVI, which I'm planning to fix now with the Pixel Remaster) so I hope I did it justice with this arrangement :)
