Lately I've started to change the way I think about it though. Who's to say when something stops being a part of the artistic process? Why should the promotion be any less a part of the song than the lyrics or the arrangement? And, if that's the case, why should I accept a facet of my art as mundane? If I don't like something about my music, I can just change it. The same should hold true for my content.
