It was a really neat way to see Tokyo since there were virtually no traffic jams. Overall it took around 90 min to drive the whole course and this was all compressed into 2 min. Were Moving To Vancouver, BC | Sakai Moving Service Nigel Paquin 2021-06-23 | Well big things are happening with our family as we're finally moving from Fukuoka to Vancouver this August. After 20 years we've decided it would be great for the kids to study in Canada and for our work to expand in Vancouver. It's something we've been thinking of for a long time and have finally decided it's the right time to do it! The whole process is actually quite long because shipping all your goods takes around 3 months due to covid and container ships taking longer than usual. We used an awesome company called "Sakai Moving Service" to handle all the logistics of shipping our luggage. They were the best as usual, it's actually the 3rd time we've used their service but first time internationally. A packing list is required and most items have to be documented for customs in Canada. Other things to consider are no medication is permitted to be sent. Overall if you're thinking of moving from Japan to your country we would highly recommend using their company as they'll take care of you and family 100%. The matchup was strong as we were the underdogs. Spoiler alert, we didn’t win the game but it was my sons 13th Birth Day so that’s what mattered. We all had a great time and got to meet lots of fellow Canadians along the way. Italy was strong and Canada couldn’t capitalize on their mistakes. My Vancouver Trip - Lumix GH5S Nigel Paquin 2019-05-05 | This was my trip to Vancouver, when I wasn't working I was filming. A big thanks to those who let me film their personal lives and all those things in between. The new Lumix GH5S absolutely rocked and was able to get some amazing footage. Its low light performance was a dream come true especially doing those night time building shots. Handheld shots were shaky but in post I slowed down the footage and added stabilization. But for most of the time I was sporting the Zhiyun Crane Plus which provided excellent stabilization. Zhiyun Crane Plus Test Shots - Having Some Fun! Nigel Paquin 2018-05-22 | What happens when you get a gimbal? You become your own cinematic movie producer. But in all honesty we were just 2 guys out in the park with nerf guns trying to make a fun movie with just 1 hour to spare. We had way more ideas but unfortunately we just ran out of time. Things we learned were going up and down steps takes a lot of practice. Push and Pulls look great. Manual focus is the only way to go when trying to get your focus. Use the remote and monopod on a tripod to get great reveal shots. Maybe next time we'll film a longer more scripted version of this kind of movie. Kumamoto - A Story of Devastation & Hope - DJI Phantom 4 Pro 4K Nigel Paquin 2017-09-27 | In this short drone movie, we explore The Mt.Aso region which is based in Kumamoto prefecture. The area was hit by a large 7.0M earthquake followed by heavy typhoon rains of an unprecedented nature. Even after a year, most of the roads are still being rebuilt. A friend of mine Greg O’Keefe is creating a documentary for a local business named Jigoku Hot-Spring. Unfortunately, the hot-spring lost quite a few of its buildings due to a landslide which poured into a creek. It truly was shocking to see the devastation of how it raged through the property, I believe our drone footage displayed the scale of the damage. We really hope our aerial footage will help tell the story for Greg's full feature documentary which we will update here once it's ready. Part 2 Family Vacation in Yamaguchi - Visiting Akiyoshi Caves & Omishima Island Nigel Paquin 2017-08-11 | In our last part of our family vacation, we visit some mysterious caves. The coolness of the caves is great because in the heat of the summer it's nice and mild inside those dark cavernous trails. The last part of our journey was the amazing Omishima Island where we experienced an amazing beach full of snorkellers and divers. Heading up the mountain side you hike up to a famous point that showcases a chain of islands all set in a picturesque view. Of course, our Phantom 4 Pro drone came along and got some great shots. My wife recommended we must see Motonosumi Inari Shrine as it's a top place to see as stated by CNN.com. 4K DJi Phantom 4 Pro Demo Footage - 2 Weeks Later Nigel Paquin 2017-07-30 | Well what a drone it is, the Phantom 4 Pro is the best drone I've ever flown with in terms of camera quality. All the footage you see here was either slightly color graded or none at all. It was all shot in 4k 60fps, some footage was slowed down by 50% giving it a silky slow motion look. James Bond Skyfall - Battleship Island - Gunkanjima with the DJi Phantom 3 Standard Drone - 軍艦島 (端島) Nigel Paquin 2017-06-19 | Had the privilege to film this island while fishing off Nagasaki. It was a dream of mine to finally see and fly this amazing historical site in Japan. Battleship Island has a long history of coal mining dating back to the early days of WWII. Amazing to think at one point nearly 85,000 people used to live here.On a final note, during this flight not once did I actually fly over the island as the whole video was completely flown from outside the wall. If you are thinking of going here make sure to either use a boat or fly from shore to the island. I would love to film this location again with a special permit to film it from a whole new perspective.

Timing was difficult as the cherry blossoms were in full bloom but it rained for a week. We only had small windows to take this footage.
