And not only can it recompile x86 binaries to ARM, it can even do graphics API translation for DirectX games! Can a thin and light laptop game better than a MacBook Air? Perhaps! In this video, I review the Tesla Cybertruck, highlighting the good and bad of the apocalyptic vehicle. As an experienced electric car owner, I discuss the Cybertruck’s interior quality, noting it feels cheap compared to other Tesla models. Key points include the minimalist design, lack of expected features, and overall disappointing build quality. However, I praise the Cybertruck’s functional aspects like rear door design, bed space, and power outlets, making it suitable for specific tasks despite its flaws. For a truck, its suspension components and handling abilities are quite impressive—thanks in part to the steer-by-wire system.

A new app called Beeper Mini claims to seamlessly integrate iMessage functionality on Android devices, potentially revolutionizing cross-platform messaging. Developed from the open-source project pypush by a high school student and supported by Pebble founder Eric Migicovsky, this app promises secure and direct messaging without requiring user's Apple ID credentials. However, it raises questions about its legitimacy and compliance with Apple's policies, especially considering the controversies surrounding previous attempts like Sunbird and Nothing Chats. As Beeper Mini enters the market, it remains to be seen whether this ambitious endeavor will truly deliver a reliable iMessage experience for Android users or encounter resistance from Apple.

It’s built on a 3nm process node—but there’s more to it than meets the eye. Let’s discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly.

The M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max make their debut on the new 2023 MacBook Pro. There’s a 14” and 16” as always, but we’re now getting a $1,599 M3 (non-Pro) 14” MacBook Pro with all the same stuff we love about the higher-end machines: the 120Hz ProMotion XDR display, the best laptop speakers around, fantastic battery life, and more. The M3 Pro and M3 Max bring some impressive performance gains, but not without controversy. TSMC’s 3nm N3B process is so wildly unpredictable that Apple’s yields seem to be pretty strange. There’s a bunch of binned SKUs this year across the whole lineup—and not only do they cut cores, but they even reduce memory bus width (a real shame)! With prices as high as they’ve ever been, M3 better perform spectacularly if it’s going to justify its attempts to cost cut while raising MSRP. Not only did we get new MacBook Pros, we got a new iMac—I think? A USB-C Magic Mouse is still a pipe dream as we get another whole cycle with Lightning. It’s embarrassing. But can the pros outweigh the cons? Tune in to find out.

Intel has a lot of stuff going on in Malaysia: from their SIMS facility that manufactures testing equipment for their other factories/facilities, to testing labs that put their latest silicon through hell before production, to the actual die sort/prep and packaging, there's a lot to see. The Eight Sleep mattress cover has been seen on a lot of your favorite channels, but always as a paid ad. What does a tech reviewer *really* think of the company's crazy expensive liquid-cooled smart cover? E-bikes are cool, but I'm gonna let you in on a little secret: most e-bike brands share components from the same, small, handful of factories and the products themselves are not much different than they'd seem. The Himiway Zebra is a perfectly fine bike with nicer-than-average components at a lower cost—likely at the expense of after-sales support. Oh, and pianos. Pianos are cool, but they're crazy expensive. How good could a "cheap" digital piano be in 2023? The Roland F701 gets a lot of things right—including the sound—but does it *feel* like a piano worthy of its price? Last, 3D printing has died off from the "fad" it once was, but it's more useful than ever and the latest printers are insanely capable. The Prusa XL has a 360^3mm build volume which makes way for some BIG projects. Find out about all of this and more on this week's episode of Snazzy Labs.

I wanted to learn how to cook a steak in 2020 after a lot of time stuck at home—but everywhere I looked provided conflicting information to reasonable questions. Questions like: What pan temperature? What oils? How often to flip the steak? Should I baste it? What about tempering? Sous vide or reverse sear? Plain old skillet? Cast iron or not? The questions were infinite.
After hundreds of hours of scouring through cookbooks and textbooks, cooking dozens of steaks, and losing half my hair, I've found it! I've found the secret to cooking the perfect steak—every time—using science.

I’ve been using the 15” MacBook Air as my every-day laptop for over a month and I think this is the closest Apple has ever gotten to the perfect laptop—but that doesn’t mean I'm going to keep using it; nor should you should rush out to buy one. Lemme cook here. Since the MacBook Air debuted 15-years-ago, it hasn't been offered in a size greater than 13". For a few years there, we had an even smaller version available at 11.6", but never larger than 13 and it... never made sense. The simple reality is that a lot of people want big screens: be it aging eyesight, larger workspace requirements, laptop-only workflows, whatever... and until last month, the only way to get an Apple laptop larger than 14" in size was to spend at least $2,500 for a 16" MacBook Pro that is hulkingly overkill for many that merely seek more display real estate. The option is great for those that need it, but I think more people believe themselves to need it than those that actually do.10 Gigabit Network Retrofit for Renters.
