Professor Ditmer,
Thank you for your guidance and tutelage during my years at the College of Wooster. Your example as a teacher, director, and leader have not only affected me but hundreds, if not thousands, of musicians who are enriching the world today. Thank you for your work in bringing together classical and folk traditions, being a leader of symphonic bands and pipe bands alike. Thank you for my first premier as a composer. Thank you for trusting me with leadership. Thank you for your service to the world, enhancing the lives of youth and young adults, past and present, with the power of music. Your work lives on in your students, who now pass on your gifts to their own students and communities.
