The EOS system to FAST-TRACK CREATIVITY in KIDS (What We LEARNED From Aelita Andre) Aelita Andre 2020-05-11 | Some of my thoughts on fast-tracking creativity in kids and maximising their potential in the simplest, most transparent and organic way, based on our experience raising Aelita Andre for 13 years. This conversation is only starting.This is just the beginning. I sense a real desire and need for a completely different approach to the way we bring up and educate children - brought into sharp focus in part by the current pandemic lockdown crisis. It's our hope these thoughts and Aelita's painting videos will inspire and encourage changes in the way we treat our own creativity and view children's potential to forge a fruitful and meaningful life. Am I being naive here? Maybe, but I hope not. We've seen Aelita's videos screened in classrooms around the world with so many teachers, academics, parents and artists express their enthusiasm for what can be achieved if obstacles and hard-wired prejudices are removed. What began as a simple act of painting by Aelita as a baby has far reaching implications and Aelita, and we, hope to be able to contribute to global change. Aelita talks about her Sound-Touch Paintings Aelita Andre 2018-05-03 | Born out of her frustration that paintings are silent; mute, Aelita Andre was passionate about finding a way to make them express theselves sonically. This led to the development and creation of her sound-touch paintings where she combines touching the entire surface area of the painting with playing the painted and prepared violin and also using her voice, and combining all three into large scale improvised performances. She is now recognised as the founder of sound-touch painting - a revolutionary new art form fusing sound and painting, blending the latest technology with a centuries old art fom to reinvent painting - giving, for the first time, her canvases a voice. Aelita coaxes the sound of birds, oceans, rotating planets and the background radiation of the universe itself from the painting, breathing new life into her art, making her paintings 'sing'. The genesis of the sound-touch painting was in 2013 during a live painting performance in the US, when Aelita spontaneosly placed a violin onto the painting and began playing it, making the sound of the violin an intrinsic part of the painting and the entire creative process.

Aelita Andre performs live at the Russian Academy of Fine Arts Museum [concert excerpt: 344mins] Aelita Andre 2016-12-10 | This is a shortened version of the 9 minute concert featuring highlights of the performance in the Russian Academy of Fine Arts Museum, in the Blue Room, in St Petersburg, Russia in September 2016, condensed to 3min 47 seconds.Aelita Andre's intention is to give voice to nature and the universe through her paintings which until now have remained mute. Interestingly this is precisely a concept that Kandinsky had 100 years ago. For him colours were directly associated with orchestral instruments and their corresponding sounds. Each concert is a unique improvised performance essentially revolving around and combining a complex and vast array of individual concepts (time, space, cosmos, nature, lifeforms etc) and notes from painted prepared violins and the touch paintings - soundpaintings - whereby the surface of the paintings themselves emanate sounds. Under Aelita's freeform yet expertly controlled guidance she creates breathtaking and striking aural soundscapes - a sublime soundtrack to her powerfully evocative paintings.This concert marks a triumph for Aelita Andre whose long held frustration was that her paintings had no voice. They were silent and Aelita said, "I paint my paintings but I wish my paintings could speak back to me!". Aelita Andre and James Warhola painting in Chengdu: Mini Documentary Aelita Andre 2015-08-02 | Mini Documentary Introducing the First-Ever Collaboration Between International Artists Aelita Andre and James Warhola, commissioned by the Chinese Government to create a 10 meter public painting to celebrate the city of Chengdu.At the opening of the week-long Arts and Music Exhibition the 10 x 2 meter canvas painting "Chengdu Garden", jointly created by world renowned eight-year-old Australian art prodigy Aelita Andre and pop art artist James Warhola and, was unveiled. The stunning painting will kickstart a week of spectacular arts, music, cultural and fashion events to celebrate the city of Chengdu.The theme of the bright colours was chosen by both artists and then Aelita Andre applied her techniques to create a representation of a Chinese dragon. The completed masterpiece embodies the fusion of Pop-Art and Abstraction. The painting is located in the historical Temple district of Chengdu.Government officials from Sichuan province, City of Chengdu and Chengdu Jinjiang District, foreign consulate, Chengdu based international companies and councils attended the ceremony. AELITA: Secret Universe. Feature film trailer. Aelita Andre 2012-05-20 | This is the official feature film trailer for "Aelita: Secret Universe" about the child abstract painter Aelita Andre. The film traces her artistic journey from when she began painting before turning two, until her 2012 Solo Show in New York at the age of five.We had so much interest in Aelita and so many requests to learn more about her, that we created this film to tell her amazing story.The "Secret Universe" of the title is the world inhabited by children - a world of their own making where fantasy is foremost and reality is distant and secondary. The film is told from Aelita's point of view and includes many spoken observations about herself, her painting and her unique thoughts on life itself.Stylistically the film is a visual poetic journey and gradually unfolds showing Aelita both in her studio and away from her studio as a normal child, underscored by an ethereal soundtrack. It is the details and subtleties which form the foundation of the film slowly building an immensely rich portrait of Aelita. The artist herself is centre stage for 90 minutes.
