Scholars J.T. Snipes and Gordon Maples recently published chapter in a new volume (also edited by Snipes) entitled, "Remixed and Reimagined: Innovations in Religion, Spirituality, and (Inter)Faith in Higher Education." Snipes and Maples' chapter is, "Black Secular College Students: An Exploration at the Margins."
Together they will present their understanding of this exponentially marginalized group and how organizations like SSA as well as colleges and universities themselves, can support and empower these students.
