Let's Play Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin (PC)

#20: Shulva, Sanctum City

The first DLC is found beneath the lair of The Rotten. The forgotten city of Shulva is home to many poisonous denizens, and has a confusing layout; oh and there's a nasty dragon about.

The outer city itself is a rather vapid landscape, with only a few extraneous items to offer, so I opt to run straight into the Dragon Sanctum to find the mechanism that raises the bridge. The enemies are all very dangerous, and it takes a seasoned warrior or a very concerted effort to find the critical path.

Once inside the great pyramid of Shulva, the descent to its base will lead us to Elana the Squalid Queen; she wields a heavy poleaxe, casts dark magic, teleports, and can summon either a squad of skeletons or a golden clone of Velstadt... depending on your luck, she can be quite a handful.

ABOUT THIS SERIES:
This is a casual playthrough where I recreate my favorite old DEX/INT build. The pacing is a bit faster than my usual style; this is not a comprehensive walkthrough, and I will be skipping some items/enemies/sections. I will kill all bosses. I have not played DkS2 since before the release of the third game earlier this year, and in recent months I've been very engrossed in DkS1; this is my revisitation of DkS2, to once and for all gain a proper perspective on all three games in the series.
