This run aims to complete Ocarina of Time, including all 8 of its main dungeons, in as few C presses as possible. This run does not use SRM or ACE.
In normal gameplay, C buttons are typically used for the following:
- Using items equipped to the C buttons
- Equipping items to the C buttons in the pause menu
- Playing ocarina songs
- Calling Navi
- Looking around in first person
Some less common uses: advancing text with C-up, moving the cursor in the filename input

- catch hsw in a real bottle that you can equip swap over
- equip swap something over that hsw
- when the timer expires, the c-item from the last step will become spring water
Note that this only works if you don't overwrite the hsw in that bottle slot (ex: equip swap a bottle over hsw, then catch a fish. the fish will overwrite the hsw in that slot, so when the hsw would've cooled, nothing happens).

This run aims to complete Majora's Mask in the first 3-day cycle. It uses SRM (https://www.zeldaspeedruns.com/mm/srm...) only to equip the Deku Mask, and is never used again.
"The 3 Day Challenge" is one of the oldest Zelda challenges. This run puts a new spin on that old category.
Old Challenge:
- done in 6 days/2 cycles
- starts its main cycle with ocarina and song of healing
- uses inverted song of time (slows time 3x)
New Challenge:
- has only 1 cycle total
- has no ocarina/song of healing, even after turning human
- has no access to inverted song of time for the entire run (time moves 5x faster than inverted time without ocarina)
- gets some more things other than just beating the game...

As usual, this is a compilation of tricks that are neat but don't deserve their own video.
Ordinarily I release these every 100 videos, but my activity slowed way down. I figure I should upload these now instead of waiting, and think of a better way to document these clips in the future instead of holding on to them (for the past few years I've been posting information as I come across it on Twitter, though I don't think that's much better). Meaning this is most likely the last Oddities of Termina, though I won't say that with 100% certainty.
I found these clips on my old hard drive in a folder labeled "oddities4". They're named 001 ... 025 and from 2015-2017. I present these clips in order, completely unedited. I forget the context for some of these, but here is a brief breakdown:
00:00 - Get Snowhead ice rupees with Zora
00:16 - The camera slowly rotates on its own here
00:38 - Unsure what this is; the video was a black screen so I assume I was supposed to record that video again when I wasn't lazy
00:42 - You can ascend this slope using only pound
01:16 - Collection delay the wallet (idr why this is here)
01:31 - Just a long deku flower descent. classic oddities time-wasting clip
03:52 - Epona in Snowhead exterior shenanigans
05:21 - Infinite Fish
05:44 - This clip was how I accidentally discovered Goron Missile. Originally I had no idea what happened and added it as an oddities clip
05:51 - Same info as last clip
05:57 - Goron action swap on Epona
07:01 - Showing off sad Gorman bros during the horse race (normally impossible, but I use any-items Epona to put on the mask during the race)
08:23 - Smithy shenanigans
08:44 - Jump thing
08:50 - Cool Goron Missile way of exiting GBT
09:24 - Can pound Gekko to avoid damage and get magic drops
09:43 - Showing off weird geometry in the unloaded SCT section of ECT
10:03 - Get Goron stuck (since curl height is a shorter hitbox)
10:27 - Cool Goron jump
10:36 - Showing there's no way to break rocks underwater, then breaking it
11:01 - Infinite Deku Hookshot Void Thing
12:27 - Pounding the flower changes your color and makes the flower bob up and down
12:56 - Really cool big octo skip
13:29 - Sirloin + WFT shenanigans
15:15 - Weird Guy Cutscene

This run aims to complete Majora's Mask while pausing to equip items (or for any other reason) only twice. In fact, this can be considered "Majora's Mask in 2 Start Presses" since the start button was only pressed twice, for a single frame each. This run does not use SRM/TO (zeldaspeedruns.com/mm/srm/srm-primer), which would trivialize the challenge.
I published the original 2 pause LOTAD on this date, 6 years ago. I've received many requests to remake this run (and wanted to myself) to both see how the route would change and to have a version with more bearable audio quality. With a more optimized route and gameplay, this version saves over 35 minutes. I consider this to be a great glitch showcase and a labor of love.
This run is a stream highlight and was premiered live on twitch.tv/zfg1.

You need to have ISG for this to work, and you need to use remote hookshot (drinking milk with anything else in your hand doesn't seem to work).
I don't know that much about this. Would be helpful if someone could visualize or look into this.
Stay gaming
1:09 Remote Hookshot as Deku and Interrupt Drowning
2:27 Pull Yourself Through Walls to Reach Loading Zones
2:51 Remote Hookshot as FD and Really High Hookshot Jump
Here's the strats I used from Türkenheimer that I reference in this video:
Preserve and Use Milk through SoT: youtube.com/watch?v=NTsgZHwiUFQ
Remote Hookshot with only 2 C-Buttons: youtube.com/watch?v=Jf5aeFXBa28
- have full milk, empty bottle, and hookshot on C
- hold target and aim hookshot at torch 1
- drink milk. this "stores" the hookshot position and angle. it'll shoot next time you take out hookshot
- go to another torch (torch 2) and hookshot it before you get pulled to torch 1
- you'll be interrupted towards your pull to torch 1 by going to torch 2, and can now move around freely while still being "pulled"
- in this state, you can't really gain or lose height, so that's why you hover around, as seen in last video
- if you do manage to lose height (like by going downstairs, you'll be pulled back to the y coordinate of torch 1. you can use this momentum to clip out of bounds and navigate to the boss room
- take care of yourself
Then, TheMasterZelda found that this trick just shoots hookshot in the same orientation and position it was in your hand (it was shooting the ground because it was held in Link's hand pointing towards the ground). So you can remotely connect to hookshot targets: youtube.com/watch?v=Kv97QhGvaZc
Then, I found that you can connect to 2 hookshot targets at once, and once you do, you can freely control yourself and cancel at any time.
This trick is still very very new and being actively looked into! Hope cool things come of this!
How to do:
- have hookshot in hand, with full milk and empty bottle on C
- drink milk
- pull hookshot again and it will automatically shoot and create a new point
- repeat as many times as you want (equip swap means you can do this infinitely)
i worked on this and premiered it on twitch: twitch.tv/kaztalek

1) Store GFS jumpslash and get ISG
2) Walk into Wart's eye
3) As soon as you see he's hit, mash B for Blast Mask
4) Just stand there
Works absolutely every single time.
Blast Mask delays Wart closing his eye (because lag probably), so you can safely hit him twice before he runs away. Also note that you don't take any damage... 🤔
Would be cool to find a way to replicate this effect consistently without Blast Mask. Get on it!

This run aims to complete Majora's Mask, getting all fairy rewards, and never being human form inside of a dungeon. This makes for a great glitch showcase for the game as it shows off plenty of tricks you would never see otherwise. I've included audio commentary to help explain what's happening so it's easier to follow.
If you're confused about anything you see still, I'm more than happy to explain it in a bit more detail.
Continuing the tradition of commentated Zelda challenges uploaded every February 21st : )
Based on this trailer by Nahoc: youtube.com/watch?v=Tfo0OMbZ9ek
When you do Ocarina Items by holding ESS, hitting the bottled item, then your sword/punch, you'll actually fall off the ledge instead of snapping to it. This means that you can ocarina dive in way more situations, and not need a specific angle or ledge.

I'm not entirely sure how this works, but it seems like if you have a real steep slope, and the powder keg pushes you, you can clip through the ground.
This is really difficult, so it's hard for me to test where else this works. Hopefully we can do something cool with this.
Here's why.

This video shows just 10 clips out of a wide variety of possibilities opened up. The general idea is that while the text is up, you're put in this weird intermittent state where interacting with other text gives strange results (until the textbox is closed and all is right with the world again).
With this glitch, it's possible to get a bunch of dialogues that are normally impossible in this scenario (as shown several times in the video). Once the textbox is closed, everything will go back to normal. Some textboxes do nothing, while others have very strange effects. It seems like multiple choice dialogues are most likely to have odd side effects.
There is still much unknown about this and a lot of potential for crazy stuff to happen. If you have any questions on what's happening in the video, I'll be glad to answer!

After beating Great Bay Temple, the Great Bay map allows us to use Ice Arrows. With a weird shot, we can not only see Mikau under the surface, but also shoot an ice arrow to give him land. The rest is softlock history.
P.S. Don't forget, since Ice Arrows requires entering GBT, which requires Zora Mask, you'll have to dupe a bottle over Zora Mask for Mikau to appear again! (Prerequisite video: youtube.com/watch?v=QV5I-agFDaE)

Zora Hover: youtube.com/watch?v=F1XdXM5PfR8
The flowers trap you the same way as Like Likes do, so by dying right as you activate them, you'll gain control while maintaining this "Zora Hover" state.
However, if you do this as human, you'll lose control once the plant damages you again. Goron, on the other hand, doesn't have this problem since the flowers won't try to hurt him.
With this, we can do whatever we want with Zora Hover, in a brand new spot!
...except as soon as the flower explodes we lose this.
Clip 1: Shows a way to die right as you activate the flower as Goron. After reviving, I Goron Pound, then let go of A. As soon as Zora Hover wears off from the plant dying, the pound that I stored will release and I'll gain that stored height, even though I was uncurled.
Clip 2: Shows... Zora hovering. When the plant explodes, I just drop.
Clip 3: Shows what happens when you use hookshot in this state. You're stuck until the plant explodes and everything goes back to normal.
It would be super cool if someone was able to come up with a way to not have the plant reset the glitch.
For the uninitiated, this is what Zora Hover is: youtube.com/watch?v=F1XdXM5PfR8
Sorry for the poor presentation, but I have a really bad habit of sitting on videos instead of giving the info outright. Instead of holding on to this info, I just wanted to get it out there.
"Endless Day" is a property you can get from Bottle Adventure (duping over hookshot). It makes it so that the day you're on never advances. A side effect of this, is that if this property is used on a file that starts from an owl, but doesn't load at an owl (starting a new cycle from somewhere that isn't Clock Tower, basically), the cycle starts at day 0 and doesn't advance to first day as the title card is supposed to make it do. This lets us stay permanently on 0th day, which can lead to a lot of fun things.
The reason we can carry over this property is because Endless Day is one of a few addresses that persist at the file select screen from file 2's owl save. So the concept is: get Endless Day on file 2, save at the owl, and load file 1.
Feel free to ask questions if you'd like an expansion on anything shown here. I know I didn't really explain myself well.
here
you
go.
To do this, kill the garo and escape the flames (I use Goron Missile to achieve this in the video, but hookshotting a tree should work as well). The Garo will keep respawning and try to congratulate you on killing him. This continues until you either look at him (he then congratulates you and leaves) or unload him by any means (entering new area or something similar).
This might open some potential doors for new cool things to do, as we now can lock our position on the go. One side effect of this shown is being able to do multiple consecutive hookshot megajumps.
Excuse my fumbled explanation, but the idea is simple. Each scene has a series of flags to keep track of which events have already happened. Due to developer error, there's a few cases of separate events sharing the same switch: that is, activating one is equivalent to activating both.
Who knows what other scene flags might be shared? I encourage you to look out for them : )
