THE LENS YOU NEED! Sirui 75mm & 100mm T2.8 Jupiter Macro Jason Morris 2023-11-05 | These are by far the lenses I needed in my kit. I went all my career without owning a macro lens and finally I have got them. It was one lens I didn't think I needed because I had a few "work-arounds" to combat this issue I was having this my filmmaking and photography.Macro lenses I feel are super essential in your kit. This is why I immediately got extension tubes and diopters to get my close up shots.Please take my advice and at least get some proper macro lenses. Avoid the head ache and just get at least one.These Sirui Jupiter lenses do not have to be just used as macro lenses. They can be used as regular cinema lenses also. The BEST Lens In My Camera kit Jason Morris 2023-10-14 | These Viltrox Epic anamorphic lenses are far better than I was expecting. Unfortunately I do not get to keep the set but wow!I hope that you see the pros and cons of these lenses and why 1.33x squeeze is far more usable with 16:9 and 17:9 sensors more so than 1.5, 1.6, 1.8 and 2x anamorphic lenses.Besides the anamorphic squeeze factor the price has a lot to do with these not being very popular. I Switched from SONY to RED Jason Morris 2023-09-23 | I have owned the Red Komodo X for less than a couple of months now and it has been a very interesting move to the Red system.I still film with the Sony system with the alpha camera and also still own the Sony FX6 mainly for youtube, social content and some freelance work. Sirui Nightwalker vs 7artisans Vision Cine Lenses- BATTLE OF THE BUDGET Jason Morris 2023-07-10 | The Sirui Nightwalker lenses are the newest in the super35 camera space. They are currently on Indiegogo now for only $309 USD which is very cheap for what you get. It is great to see 7artisans and Sirui producing great products for that budget price. The 7artisan lenses are a very fast T1.05 which perform extremely well under low light conditions but at the cost of sharpness. It has a certain look that it produces and I really like it.
