Hope you all enjoy :)
Wow, look at me, I'm actually uploading a video this year. Can you believe it? I barely can. Look, I'm not ignorant to the fact that this has easily been the longest time between uploads in my channel's history. I can't really say I have an excuse but this video here was supposed to come out as soon as 2.2 was released. But the absolutely god awful coverage of bots in early 2.2 was ridiculous and it wasn't really ideal to release this video until now when Absolute's Mega Hack provided with a bot that could actually function with all game features available in the macro. Massive thanks to the following channels that made parts of this video happen, since I was genuinely at a loss for how to do TASes for the platformer levels.
I also want to state, I will not be entering radio silence now for a while, I do have a video coming out at the end of this month for sure, which I have been excited to showcase for months now. It should demonstrate to you what direction I want to take this channel towards in the near future. Boy are you lot not ready for this.

Hello there, long time no see. I do wish I could show to you why I haven't uploaded a video in over 3 months but it is unfortunately not ready. It is a video that is reaching over 3 hours long at this rate and it is by far my biggest project yet. But it is not ready yet, me and LastPrismAlex are still working on it and it will easily be considered our magnum opus.
Until then, here we have a video project I started a year ago which I expected to become filler content but ended up being nearly an hour long. As I am known for having some infamous levels, I figured I would do my best to make sure they were more easily accessible to the community. Not trivialize them however, players just need to get good at the game to beat these levels now as majority of timings aren't unfair anymore. I do hope until I can release a new level (which should hopefully be soon) that these update will suffice as something worth going for.Geometry Dash Gamemodes Ranked Worst to BestStormfly2023-07-18 | Patreon: patreon.com/TheRealTempesta
Much like the previous video I uploaded, here we have an attempt at trying to acquire some objective results for what the community thinks are the best gamemodes in Geometry Dash. This survey includes the 2.2 gamemode swing-copter as it is pretty much identical to the community-made gamemode with a couple of exceptions. Participants were able to test with the new gamemode by playing a leaked version of the 2.2 update if they wanted further confirmation on how it feels to play. Here is a video presenting the final results of that survey, hence if you disagree with the results then too bad really, it wasn't my call where these gamemodes ended up and your opinion is outshined by this.
As majority of players and creators in this game have covered what their subjective view on what the best and worst main levels are, I wanted to try and reach a more conclusive result that can be deemed more towards the objective side. Sure it won't be a perfect result, it realistically never will be but meh. They're Geometry Dash levels, I'm sure you'll manage. To summarize, here we have a video where part of the community bonded together to vote on what they deem to be the worst and best main levels in Geometry Dash. I could probably put together some more votes for similar topics, I got a couple of ideas for it. Let me know if you think that is a good idea.
So, here is a fun idea I came up with, recorded and edited all in the same day pretty much. Since none of my planned videos once more are ready and it has been 2 months since I uploaded anything, here we go with this video here. I hopefully explain everything in the video but in case I don't, the idea behind this is that we are setting out to beat all 21 main levels of Geometry Dash as quickly as possible but I am allowed to choose whatever speed I want for the game to beat these levels legitimately. I cannot change the speed midway through, I have to pick one speed and stick with it. If I wanna switch, I have to wait until I am already dead. It is a fun risk and reward system across the entire run. The quicker you speed the game up, the more potential you have for saving the time. But the quicker the game gets, the harder it is to not die and lose time. How GD Players Acquired 1,153 Stars in 5 MinutesStormfly2023-02-19 | Patreon: patreon.com/TheRealTempesta
I have very briefly covered this story before but nowhere near in-depth enough to actually consider the full details of this intricate story. Despite being such a brief event, it actually has a lot of strange and interesting aspects surrounding it, some of which will never be revealed. Hope you enjoy listening to this surprisingly cryptic story.
There are two massive video projects in the works which will probably require me to upload once a month again to actually ensure they get finished in time. My videos are simply too grand in scale to keep up with consistently uploading and I refuse to enter the Youtube mindset that they encourage; uploading frequently for good results. So I am taking my time with this as always to produce good quality. As always, be ready for things that have never been done on the GD Youtube platform before.
Skyrim Soundtrack by Jeremy Soule imdb.com/name/nm0815819The Story of GDs Most Mysterious LevelStormfly2022-12-29 | Here we go, you all. My final video of the year and easily my biggest and probably best one too. Through years of endless research and two failed attempts of telling this story, here I am finally doing it properly. Massive thanks to LastPrismAlex who edited pretty much the whole video using my voice-lines and script material, he deserves a ton of love for his amazing work in the GD community.
I know I've said countless times that I wouldn't redo this story for a video again but upon having researched even the fundamental basics of the story, there are so many things we missed our first time around. Now, we have actually found out what the full story of this level entailed. It is one hell of a long journey as you can see and I have added sections to the story about mine and others' work in trying to find the level which has always been a common question to arise in conversations about the level. Enjoy the longest documentary I've ever released on this channel.
Another Super Expert run before I upload my last big video of the year. As always, Super Expert is never-ending with its surprising designs in garbage levels. I will be releasing one massive video before the end of the year to make up for the lack of uploads in the recent months. Next year will definitely be the year of changes, we shall see in which way that occurs.
//------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What is Super Expert?
Super Expert is a re-creation of the 100 Mario Challenge in Super Mario Maker. The 100 Mario Challenge is a gamemode in Super Mario Maker in which the player must play through a set number of randomly selected user-created levels in 100 lives or less. There are four difficulty modes that players can choose from; easy, normal, expert and super expert hence where the name came from. The Super Expert we are going to be playing in Geometry Dash is identical with a few added differences. In Mario Maker's Super Expert difficulty you are required to beat 6 levels with 100 lives. In our version, we are required to beat 10 levels with 500 attempts. We also have a total of 3 practice runs to use across the entire run and we are also allowed to skip one level. Which levels you want to use practice mode on and what level to skip is entirely up to the player.
So much like in Mario Maker, we are playing randomly selected user-created levels so we have no idea what we are going to be playing. The only thing we do know about these levels are their difficulties. Either we are getting an insane-rated level without a star or we are getting a harder-rated level without a star but is in the disliked section. On the surface this might seem like weird choices for a criteria but I assure you, the levels you can get from these settings is unbelievable. The GD Rating System Is GarbageStormfly2022-10-12 | Final video of this kind, then Twitter can stop crying. I've kind of noticed over time that I have taken each topic that I wanted to cover in order from least frustrating to the most. This topic is where I became the most emotional when originally writing the script and I had a lot of things that I wanted to say but I had to restrain myself. With this video I am providing a replacement system for the current rating system as it has plenty of problems right now. Whether they are willing to embrace this new system or considering changing their current one is up to them in the end.
Second video of this kind and probably the most controversial topic of them all. Let's see how much this set people ablaze compared to the last one. Much like the previous video on a controversial topic, this is something that needs to be said. Compared to the art criticism video though, this is one I'm not happy that a video like this is necessary to make.

As it has been requested a fair few times ever since this series started, here you have the first ever Versus Super Expert episode. I figured it would be appropriate to invite a guest that is well acquainted with the concept of Super Expert; EricVanWilderman. Quite the ride we ended up embarking on, as you will see :P
Some discussion-oriented videos are probably on their way, which will only be a phase of mine I reckon. I don't see myself doing more of those types of videos since I don't want some parts of the community coming at me with knives.Never been this wrecked by Super Expert...Stormfly2022-07-08 | Patreon: patreon.com/TheRealTempesta Twitch: twitch.tv/istormflyi
Super Expert. It's no joke. I have some big videos being prepared but since the channel is dying and I don't have enough time to push these big videos out, I'll provide with this for now. This was a Super Expert run that was done live a few weeks ago and as the title implies, I got completely destroyed. The Unused Content in Geometry DashStormfly2022-06-27 | Patreon: patreon.com/TheRealTempesta Twitch: twitch.tv/istormflyi
So, I have been very busy recently. I've been to a rock festival plus having a common cold straight after. I was still sick when recording the voice-over so I'm much lower pitch than usual, so have fun listening to that. Anyways, here we have probably not all but a lot of unused content re-implemented in Geometry Dash to be showcased in this video. A lot of weird stuff that RobTop made over the years, some of which was definitely cut out for good reasons.
Can't wait for the community reaction to this. Since as far as I know this is the only attempt at actually trying to rate levels with a standard out there unlike pretty much every other lists that are all based off feelings, you have to deal with a title like this. GD people give creating advice based on what they think is right which is the worst thing you can do for anything art-related. That being said, creative processes aren't something you can rate objectively but artist expression has a product, an intent, a target etc etc so of course that will be subjective to some extent. I have attempted as well as I can to keep this in mind for listing the following levels and yeah, there are definitely some levels that are better, stupidly bland or some of the worst extremes of all time.
Anyways, here is the result of me spending countless hours on streams rating every extreme demon in this game, alongside the final summary of what majority of all extreme demons have an issue with.
After years of research, it would finally seem like the restoration of Element 111 Rg has come to an end. I know I've said that way too many times already but at this point, we've come to understand that the reason pretty much no one beat the level in practice is because of 41%. Theoretically, the entire level up to that point is near perfect in restoration. Given how the only player to our knowledge that actually made it the entire through the level in practice mode is Pamka, we're not going to be finding anything new anymore. I am pleased with this version and surprisingly, this version is the hardest of them all.
Alongside this, I will showcase the only part of the level that will officially stay as part of the remake I'm currently hosting. Element 111 Rg will be the final remake I ever make, I am sick of making them at this point and I have also covered all the levels I am interested in seeing back in its former glory. I've begun making more original levels where at least one of them will be released this year, I guarantee you. The quality production in both my levels and my videos will continue to elevate. The Hardest Challenge in Geometry DashStormfly2022-05-12 | Patreon: patreon.com/TheRealTempesta Twitch: twitch.tv/istormflyi
Well, here we have it. If you ever wondered why I was spending time beating some of the old impossible demons of our time, here you have it. It was all for the purpose of this challenge that I came up with 1 1/2 years ago. I have for majority of the time kept it hidden from the community to see how far I could get in my own pace. It's a challenge where there are no concerns of losing your records, you can slowly grind away at the challenge and you would never need to worry that the level completions would be taken away from you, unlike The Demon List where a harder level would undermine your achievement.
Before this challenge, I had long ago given up trying to beat extreme demons, probably all the way back in 2018-2019. It did not feel fulfilling to play them as they only got progressively harder and worse in quality. Then this challenge reinvigorated that spark and I got way further than I could've ever imagined. I am now better at the game than I have ever been and it is all thanks to this challenge. It has an end goal, you can finish it and easily call yourself one of, if not the best player in the game once you have completed it. To me, it is the best list and challenge in the game. Even if you aren't that good at the game, you can attempt it. If you are one of the best players in the game, completing it is a marvelous achievement. pg1004 in current knowledge was the only player to have managed to beat every former hardest demon including the hardest at the time. Ever since, no one has done this again. I wish the lot of you good luck, some of these levels require everything from you.
This video was a long time coming. Ever since August 2020 this has been in the works which may sound a bit strange but trust me, within time that will make perfect sense. But here we have a re-creation of the video i made back in November 2019 which is what blew up my channel into the popularity it has today. Since that video has since then been outdated, has some details wrong and some levels that was missed, here is me redoing it with today's up-to-date research. I do apologize for the length of this video but that goes to show how much the hardest demons ever made is still an obsession in this community.
here we go, months and months of work crammed into an hour long video. this is by far the biggest project i have worked on so far and the approach to making this was very different than the usual with new music, new editing methods and new video structure. research on this video began last year and took well over 3-4 months to finish this off. this was brutal to finish, so by all means enjoy this video as much as you can

apologies for my slow upload speed recently, ive been playing Elden Ring way too much for my own good. i will be able to provide with multiple super expert episodes in the meanwhile, so get ready for a whole lot of super expert in the upcoming future. once i am ready, i will be able to give you the biggest video i have ever worked on so farClubstep But Buffed - Super Expert - Geometry DashStormfly2022-02-17 | another super expert episode coming your way, this one littered with a bunch of dumb levels once again. it just doesnt stop and it certainly makes for an engaging video, you better enjoy my misery
Patreon: patreon.com/TheRealTempesta Twitch: twitch.tv/istormflyiThe Janus Miracle (unnerfed) - By Megadere (Worlds First) - Geometry DashStormfly2022-02-10 | starting to feel incompetent with my videos taking so damn long to make, so yea just to give you something, here is a level i was first in the world to beat. as for the level itself, the restoration of this unnerfed version is a bit incorrect and one part was fixed to work on higher hz but other than that the difficulty of this version is identical. some of you might confuse this for the mega-buffed 2.1 version cause that is not what this is
there are a total of 4 different versions of The Janus Miracle. the 1.9 version that everyone came to know about when it was placed on The Demon List was version 3. the mega-buffed 2.1 version was version 4 which was very likely just some kid who managed to hack the account as a result of the TeamHax incident and hack-updated it to try and be funny. this here is version 2 which was way harder than the 1.9 update because of an entire ship part that scrapped in version 3 and 4. version 1 and 2 are very identical to each other and all version 2 does is add more difficulty to the original version. as such, out of the versions Megadere himself actually made, this was the hardest version
the approach for beating this was pretty much identical to what the current rated The Janus Miracle has to offer. there are some stupidly hard ship parts whereas everything else surrounding them is really easy. the difference with this unnerfed version is that there are now two ship sections you have to beat in one go. the first ship section is honestly brutal compared to the second one and this would probably push the difficulty of this level to be extreme demon for sure. this took approximately 800 attempts to beat
Clicks: youtube.com/watch?v=3W90cQKdLsoForgotten Demon List Grinders - Geometry DashStormfly2022-01-19 | 12 full A4 pages of script for this video, this one was really tiring to finish and im glad that it is finally complete. here we have a video talking about some old-school players that much like the current top players were grinding the top demons at the time and doing incredible progress on them. some of these players are still remembered today but some of them were completely forgotten about. so, here i am introducing you all to a few of them i found worth talking about
i will be yet again making some videos on Element 111 Rg but none of them are documentary-focused. its more of a layout/remake showcase showing the new 3rd version using the Time Machine song that we found it uses. look forward to that, cause the level is even dumber than before
Patreon: patreon.com/TheRealTempesta Twitch: twitch.tv/istormflyiWORST LEVEL IVE EVER PLAYED - Super Expert - Geometry DashStormfly2022-01-08 | words cannot describe how bad that level is, you just have to experience it yourself. or watch me get tortured by it. once again we are faced with the most intense and craziest super expert episode so far and it is mega fun to record. even if i encounter endless garbage, it simply doesnt matter
i havent ignored you all btw, i have seen that many of you have been asking how to play this yourself and unfortunately, there isnt really a practical way of letting others play this challenge until RobTop fixes the search system which yea, i predicted right from the get-go he wouldnt fix it as soon as he could, as its been 6 months since then
Patreon: patreon.com/TheRealTempesta Twitch: twitch.tv/istormflyiRecent Level Achievements - Pure Misery - Geometry DashStormfly2021-12-26 | other than like potentially Plasma Pulse Finale albeit unlikely, the levels i have left on my list of levels to attempt are all complete garbage and genuinely, trying to beat more levels now is just miserable. quite literally, every single new episode from here on out is just going to get crazier and crazier as ive stated before
we might be reaching the end of this journey that a lot of people know about now because of my streams. we'll see, im very thankful im reaching the end of this soon cause literally, trying to get further with these Recent Level Achievements videos is getting really brutal and pushes me way further in my playing skill than ever before, turning The Hell Trinity into a complete pushover in comparison. suppose it does prepare for The Hell Holder which is way harder than any of the previous levels in The Hell Series so there is some upsides
also very briefly, this is my final video of 2021. i hope you have all enjoyed the content i have managed to release this year and with this being one of the worst years of my life, this channel and you all are probably the reason i didnt lose my mind completely. you all mean more to me than you can ever imagine and i thank you for everything youve allowed me to do over the past few years. 2022 will be a big year where i do a ton of big videos, perhaps even a bit controversial depending on how the community takes them. see you next year - Stormfly

this is the last short video im publishing this year for the record. sticking to longer content for a while hopefully unless things go wrong
Patreon: patreon.com/TheRealTempesta Twitch: twitch.tv/istormflyiI Got A Former Top 1 - Super Expert - Geometry DashStormfly2021-12-14 | here we have quite the unique run which you'll definitely find out why that is. damn you 2.1 levels. despite that though, i adore playing super expert runs despite having to play garbage. the mystery of whether you are going to beat the run or not makes it very entertaining and i am very happy this leans on the quantity side of content creating. makes it much easier to make engaging content
following a friend's advice, i think im going to stop naming these videos by which episode number we are on. feels like it is better to do that so that people wont feel obligated to watch the previous ones even if that was never necessary to begin with
Patreon: patreon.com/TheRealTempesta Twitch: twitch.tv/istormflyiThe Hell Trinity (Demon?) - By Stormfly (me) and more - Geometry DashStormfly2021-12-08 | finally got to release a level this year and even though i would have much rather released one of my original levels, they simply take too long so this will have to do. not that i am trying to give Trinity some bad rep, it is genuinely a pretty fun level to try. admittedly, it took me 30 minutes to beat on stream which is a bit ridiculous but i was not annoyed whatsoever with majority of sections in this level. i can imagine its pretty fun for those who would want to try
so this here is the 7th hell level and the second last level in the entire series. there is only one level remaining in this and then the series is finally complete. its taken way too long to actually finish it but it is nearing the end finally and thankfully the later levels in the series are following more what my standards for decoration is today. that being said, i did decorate a fair few of these parts during streams today
ironically, in terms of effort in video production, this is the blandest video ive uploaded this year. this was meant to be uploaded on the 6th episode of Recent Level Achievements but i didnt beat enough significant levels before i went on a break during September, so for the sake of just having something to upload while i am away, here you go. enjoy hearing the song for Erebus without any copyright changes
as for the level itself, its genuinely terrible in so many ways. the gameplay was haphazardly made by Ilrell across the span of 3 days and as a result is incredibly inconsistent and unreliable. there are so many clumsy design decisions and decoration that makes everything so much worse. the pre-logo section is boring and inconsistent, the logo part is a bore, the pre-drop is the most inconsistent and hardest part of the level at the same time, the dual has an annoying issue thats super easy to fix but they didnt and the drop itself is super easy to choke. dreadful level all around, no positives anywhere. literally the only upside to this entire level that i can think of is the song. xKore is a great artist
Clicks: youtube.com/watch?v=2XftIP7ilZYMaJackOs Actually Hardest Level - Geometry DashStormfly2021-11-25 | this is the shortest documentary-type video i have uploaded on this channel and there is a reason for this. originally i had the plan to make a big video showcasing the levels of this type but there are two huge issues with this. the biggest issue is that this would make the video potentially hours long with the type of levels that have been found over the years. secondly, trying to put supposedly "all" of these levels of this type into a full video will inevitably be outdated as new levels are found constantly. to make sure i dont have to worry about updating an hour long video in the future, i decided to turn this into an episodic mini-series for levels i am interested in talking about
so with that said, here we have the beginning of another series of mine. this one will usually talk about levels that are much like Element 111 Rg but just dont have the sustenance to be talked about in a proper documentary setting. there are a few levels i wish to talk about in this mini-series and we begin with what MaJackO claims to be his hardest creation. this episode ended up a bit shorter than i expected but i reckon majority of the next episodes will be around the 5-10 minute mark, so my apologies
the last re-upload for a while. levels like Stalemate Redux, Artificial Ascent, Digital Descent, Erebus and Yatagarasu will re-uploaded later when i have completed the journey i have embarked on. gonna put my focus on releasing documentary-type videos for the remainder of this year
still a very pretty level over 6 years later, its quite incredible. i dont have a good history with MaJackO's gameplay which gives this level a pretty sour taste for me. i could never complain at his decoration efforts though, they are always incredible even in 2.1. what we have here is a level that back in 1.9 was deemed harder than Cataclysm when released which as a result is one of the best former top 1's in the game. song choice is incredible, decoration holds up to this day and difficulty doesn't feel artificial
there is not much to be said about this, its genuinely a solid level. i do suppose i could point out one thing which is that probably some people might not call this fully unnerfed and i know where this statement has its foundation. i looked into it and unless i am proven wrong i do not see anything suggesting there was a harder version than this. supposedly, there is an image showcasing a somewhat harder wave section at 40% (some spikes being normal size instead of half-size) while MaJackO was making this level but its the same for saRy's Red World. images showing parts in production but then nerfed when the level is released. unless Loogiah's copyable of the unnerfed was a somewhat nerfed version and that can be proven, i'll resort to this version being the unnerfed. if i have to re-beat it its piss easy anyway, took 800 attempts to beat this twice
genuinely the hardest level i have beaten in a long time, Yatagarasu and Erebus are easier than this. the remake does not do the original difficulty of this level justice and quite frankly, that is for the better. there are endless choke-points scattered across the entire level. much like original The Hell World i will go in-depth with most of them
first we have 16-19%. if its the first time you see this section, this is probably very confusing as to how you do this properly. in the remake this was nerfed by replacing the spikes with half-spikes giving you more wiggle room as well as the method i found for doing this section was automated so the first jump was consistent. in the original, you have to find the first jump and set the yellow orb timings up yourself which with time is genuinely really straight forward. in the beginning this seems like a really hard part but it gets better after a while. my method might not be the best one either, that part can be approached differently
every ship in this level sucks ass but there are a few particular ones that are dreadful. the one at 28% is horrible because of the mirror portals that obscures your vision of where you are and you can very easily mess up aiming for the tight space at 32%. the ship at 60% is one of the worst ship parts i have ever played. genuinely, there are 4 different methods that i know can be used on this part and i wouldnt know which one to recommend to you. i just used the one i felt the most comfortable with
once youre past here, youre faced with probably the most awful parts in the entire level left, beginning with the "spike diamonds" at 69-70%. deceptively simple but brutally difficult to get the muscle memory for. i had a ton of runs die to this section. another timing i lost a lot of runs to was the gap at 75%. you cant hug the spike too close without dying to the spike mid-air so its an awkward af timing and it sucks. coming up is the one timing at 82% which you can notice just by looking at it how horrible it is. well over 15 deaths on this timing
as if the level already wasnt horrible enough to beat, now comes even worser parts. the straight fly at 86% is absolute garbage because of how close the ball portal is to the spikes. there is a small chance that you end up dying to the transition by being too close to the spikes. problem is if you try to account for that, there is a chance you die to the first spike in the ball instead. you really just gotta hope it works in your favor. the yellow orb at 90% is so damn easy to choke and the timing itself is really horrible. there is around 2 frames on 240hz where you can actually hit this timing properly and i hate it. even after all of this, only now we reach the actually hardest part in the entire level; the final ball section at 94-96%
just from looking at it, it may not appear too intimidating at first glance. if you look closely however, you will notice that all the spikes in the ball are not alligned with the grid. all 5 ball timings are near frame-perfects on 240hz with only 2 frames of leeway for each at the end of an already difficult level. this part is the main reason i was worried about ever attempting this level. with me starting to do streams again on Twitch i finally decided to give it a go after doing The Hell Dignity. somehow, all i ended up with was a 94 and 95 death and thats it. that is an insane fluke, this ball part is incredibly hard to do alone and i managed to do it from 0. easily one of my most proud achievements in a long time
i got a lot to say for this one. where as i would recommend original The Hell Zone since it is genuinely pretty fun and where i would tell everyone to never play the original The Hell World, the sequel The Hell Dignity is just straight up boring. there are 2 choke points in the level which lies at 17-21% and 82-85%. the first part consists of a stupidly awkward ship part that is complete luck to pass and you have to rely on your muscle memory. right after that, you're faced with a rather unique but crappy ball part which is super easy to mess up. if you are lucky enough to actually pass it, you have 60% of filler that you have to slog through to have an attempt at the hardest part in the level
82-85% is the reason this level probably had not been beaten yet to this day. the tightest ball timing at 83% is a 2-frame jump on 144hz so you can only imagine how easy this is to mess up. i died on this ball part 11 times before finally passing it once. on top of that, the yellow pad at 85% that is meant to throw you into the yellow portal is broken on higher hz, so you have to skip it like i do in this video. this level was such a bore to play that it finally encouraged me enough to start playing difficult levels on Twitch which was probably the greatest choice i couldve done. it made playing these brutal levels so much more enjoyable and on top of that, i clicked outside the screen at around 71% (hence the small cut if you have a keen eye), saved myself from dying, then beat the ball for the first time from 0 and fluked the ending. quite a marvelous moment

i am still slowly but surely working on the new documentaries, i have been having difficulties getting back into it especially since one of them is a very difficult subject to research into. two big documentary videos are in the makings though, so no worries. you should see them soon enough
Patreon: patreon.com/TheRealTempesta Twitch: twitch.tv/istormflyiIs This Possible? - Super Expert #4 - Geometry DashStormfly2021-10-31 | clickbait title ftw. here we have yet another episode which i was unsure of how good it was going to be at first but genuinely turned out to be a pretty great episode. its got some garbage highlights to show thats for sure :p
i have been working rather slowly unfortunately ever since i got back from my break but i am getting into the swing of things again, working on some documentaries and recent level achievements episodes. and let me tell you, my achievements are only getting more and more impressive :pSilent Retray - Super Expert #3 - Geometry DashStormfly2021-10-18 | here we go, another super expert video. im back from my break at this point so i will officially get back into the swing of things with Youtube videos. i have some pretty big plans coming up in the future so we'll see where it takes us. Youtube's algorithm is unfortunately really bad at recommending my long videos nowadays, so i have come up with some shorter types of videos to make up for that. they are still documentary-based though so no worries and long videos wont disappear either
i have also gotten back into streaming GD again, this time with much better quality in my streams as well as using my voice. feel free to stop by if you see me live on Twitch at any point, i am all for interacting with the lot of you c:Back on Mountain (unnerfed) - By MaJackO (Worlds First) - Geometry DashStormfly2021-10-12 | Beaten 3rd of November 2020
this is a weird one. its a really unbalanced level with the first half easily being the hardest parts, specifically the first ufo and first ship section. once you pass that and you know what to do, its genuinely free until you reach 80%. it is extremely weird and awkward figuring out how to pass that section but i found that the past way to do so is to stay as high up as possible with the purple orb + sinker section and then everything will just line up by itself later on
the point of me beating this level was to beat the small main level remake series MaJackO was working on in his early days. there were 4 levels in total which are represented as spin-off titles of the main level names; Stereo Demoness, Back on Mountain, Apologiest and Triangle Out. excluding Triangle Out, each of these levels have their own unnerfed version which i wanted to beat. as im writing this description, i only have unnerfed Stereo Demoness left but i pretty much gave up on it with 67% as the old world record until KPGDylan now has completed this little mini-series. unironically, i think the only time you would see me attempting unnerfed Stereo Demoness again is if i use FPS bypass. unnerfed Stereo Demoness probably is the level i hate the most in the entire game
as for unnerfed Back on Mountain, it did not take long to beat if my memory doesnt fail me, not more than a few hours. it genuinely isn't as hard as one might have expected. there are also already videos out there of this level beaten but i figured i might as well upload mine separately as well. would not recommend this level at all though, its really boring since almost all deaths will occur at the first ship and UFO part
title isnt clickbait, this level used to be the hardest demon in the game for a short period of time. due to the list not being that popular yet and this level disappeared so quickly after its demon rate, barely anyone knew this level even existed. i sure didnt know about it a few years ago. Theory of Darkness and unnerfed Phobos share a very similar story here. before Sakupen Hell would take the top spot away from Bloodbath permanently, there are two levels that managed to temporarily do so. Unnerfed Phobos managed to do this at approximately 25th of November 2015 and losing its top spot for being hacked and unrated. Theory of Darkness managed to do this approximately on 13th of November 2015 and also lost its top spot for being hacked and unrated. unlike unnerfed Phobos though, Theory of Darkness was not only never put at the top spot on The Demon List publically but was completely obliterated; destroyed its reputation by big names like Riot, Aurorus and Michigun, unrated only a few days after desperately trying to keep it rated and finally deleted from the servers all together
i began learning of this level's existence back in summer 2020 and decided to research into it. this level had the most updates to one level i have ever seen, well over 20 different versions of Theory of Darkness but only one of them was actually rated which made it really difficult figuring out which version of the level to go for. the changes werent small either, some of the versions literally made the level near-impossible so i had to make sure that the version i was going for was the right one. to our beliefs, out of the 20+ versions of Theory of Darkness, this was the actual version that was featured back in November 2015. i spoke with Koopi who confirmed this and had this level be uploaded on his account. whether this will get rated or not i dont know anymore, ive tried but we'll see. it is an old deleted demon though so it might get some leeway much like Red World did
so in short, this here technically is the first demon to be harder than Bloodbath when originally rated and released. would i say this is harder than Bloodbath in 2021? yea for sure, no doubts about that. Bloodbath unfortunately is a bit of a joke on higher hz and this here isnt
Clicks: youtube.com/watch?v=yutA3SLut7cThe Hell World (original) - By sohn0924 (Worlds First) - Geometry DashStormfly2021-10-02 | Beaten 25th of September 2020
you know where i said that i recommend original The Hell Zone because it is surprisingly fun? this level right here couldn't be more polar opposite. this level doesn't have the fixes that the remake has, so this level is filled to the brim with unbalanced garbage and inconsistencies. i was ridiculously unlucky with this level when trying to beat it. the part at 13% is so much more annoying on higher fps since it is much easier to screw them up here. those timings could be done on only one or if youre lucky two frames. there is the ship at 17% which has a tendency of just killing you for no reason every now and then. once you get to the drop, there are three sections that are just plain stupid. one of the ball timings at 35% is deceptively simple but if you pay close attention one of the gaps are closer together than normal, super easy dying to. at 38%, there is a very tiny ship section that manages to be garbage when only a second long. the transition into the cube is really bad, so you have to hold into it while also not being too far down in the gap. the two yellow orbs right after have the same problem as 13%, which is aids this far into the level. from that point on, it becomes pretty much free until you reach the god awful 67%.
the ship part at 67% is unnerfed of course in this version, so you can see for yourself how absolutely horrible this part used to be. you need to perfectly align into the upcoming gap but there is a mirror portal placed right before it, so its total guesswork whether youre aligning yourself properly or not. if you nail that, i cant even describe what youre supposed to do at the two gravity portals. one could say its technically just straight fly but you never know where you'll end up after the mirror portal to the exact point. sometimes straight fly is more appropriate and sometimes re-correcting your position is more appropriate. there is no way of knowing so it ends up being a part that you hope you pass cause you cannot really get consistent at the part unless you develop really good muscle memory. and after all of that you'd imagine its a fluke to the end but nope, two garbage parts left. 78% is much like 13%; easier on 60fps and harder on higher fps. it is super easy to mess any of these clicks up even if the first one is free. after all of this, the worst part in the entire level remains. 85-87%
i died here 5 separate times and it was beyond frustrating. from an observer's point of view this might not seem like anything special, its just the same timings as before. but there is a subtle detail that makes this miserable. the 4th orb is not alligned with the cube properly. you have to account for the timing so that you dont overshoot and skip the orb entirely, but then you risk being way closer to the upper spike than you'd like. the thin-line of either overshooting the orb or hitting the upper spike is ridiculously tight. the entire section is affected because of this one problem and it makes it complete god damn luck to pass this garbage part. even in the attempt where i actually beat the level, i am ridiculously close to dying like 3-4 times in the span of a second
if you wish to play The Hell World, play the remake. stay far away from the original unless you want to do what im currently up to. its the only way i can envision you having a reason to play this level which i will consider a good reason as well
Clicks: youtube.com/watch?v=P1J-F9RW_AIThe Hell Zone (original) - By sohn0924 (Worlds First) - Geometry DashStormfly2021-09-27 | Beaten on 29th of August 2020
back when i beat this, i was the first player to do so. there have been a 2nd victor since then which is awesome to see. out of the entire Hell Series that sohn0924 uploaded, this is the one i would recommend you pick up and play. on higher hz, 2% is stupidly hard but 34% is easier to get around. i found a click setup that made 2% so much easier on higher hz, so i spent time beating this and got it done
so, why hasnt this level been beaten until 6 and a half years after its original release (8th of January 2014)? well, 34% was deemed pretty much broken by most and it seemed to be pretty much random when you managed to beat this section. in most instances, the cube would miss the 2nd yellow orb in the corridor since it was too far away. however, i found a setup that makes it work every time once you nail the alignment. the 3 timings at 33% (jump next to the spike and two yellow orbs) are all timed very specifically. i make sure that i hug the spike but with around 2 frames of leeway before i would hit the spike and die. with the two yellow orbs, i make sure that i hit them both at approximately the same y-position. it might seem like that would not do anything but trust me, it does. once i figured this out i could beat the part repeatedly, many times in a row
after that, the level is the standard Hell Series gameplay you would expect. nothing stupid or unusually garbage except for the pad quad at 40%. a surprisingly fun level to run once you figure out the awkward parts. unfortunately because i was watching a show on my 2nd monitor, the recording of this is pretty poor and has screen tearing all over the place, my apologies for that
this was genuinely god awful despite not being my hardest demon at the time. it just has some small sections that are almost a given to die to over and over again. GMTSean's unnerfed section that did not make it in Krmal/Tygrysek's version is one of the worst ufo parts of all time. it makes the complaints on that part on the nerfed version seem like baby raging. on top of that, there are more choke points. some people out there are claiming that the remake Deimos is just unnerfed Phobos but no, that is not true. despite that though, there are some things in unnerfed Phobos that Deimos do not have, which is 40%. the worst transition for a ship of all time, i have no idea who thought that would be a good idea in any level. the best way to handle it really is just to glide on the platform and hope you hit the purple orb properly. there are a few frames of leeway where you can make it through
then of course this level ends with the most infamous part of them all. the asymmetric ship/cube dual. i died here once at 94%, managed to beat it the next time i got here. this was really annoying to learn since the players that were actually consistent at this dual before i learned it were god awful at explaining what they were doing. having learned it myself now, quite honestly you can spend most of the time just focusing on the ship if you know the muscle memory to keep the cube alive. if you notice throughout the dual, i fly with the ship in very specific ways, which is to make sure the cube goes where it needs to go. the only time i would say you need to focus on the cube for a split moment is 2 seconds into the dual, then back on the ship again. once i figured that out, you really just got to hope everything lines up properly for you in the moment, this dual screams inconsistency and even though i got to a point where i could do the dual multiple times in a row, its still uncertain
Clicks: youtube.com/watch?v=digJz-ZBFdwHorrible After Horrible Level - Super Expert #2 - Geometry DashStormfly2021-09-13 | i figured out a way to get around the issue that Robtop caused me with the first episode of this series, although it now means that it can take me a couple of hours to just setup one super expert run. i guess thats fine but still really, really annoying
here we have the next episode to my Super Expert series and god damn is it a good one. filled to the brim with garbage levels left and right, using stupid ideas over and over in different ways, exactly the stuff you'd want to see from this type of content. enjoy my misery for like 40 minutes :pSubkulture - Second Preview - By Stormfly (me) and moreStormfly2021-09-10 | after over a year since the last preview, here we finally have some progress of Subkulture once again. this preview did not end up exactly like i wanted to due to creators not finishing quickly enough but there are works being put into this level as we speak. slowly but surely however, this level is getting closer and closer to being finally finished. this level is brutal to decorate
also to be a bit more on the nose than last time, the overly edited sections in both previews have a purpose. specifically to tell the story of this level but i will not tell you what it is. you'll have to figure that out yourself c:
Additional music used: Celldweller - Terra Firma Celldweller - GlyphsJuggler - Messing Around Layout - Geometry DashStormfly2021-08-25 | there is some story behind this layout. the main inspiration for this came from one of the decorators in Subkulture; Xultronix who asked me if i could do anything with some form of "grapple hook" mechanic. i told him i would experiment with the idea and thus, this layout was born
here you have the longest messing around layout i have ever worked on, only just missing the 2 minute mark. this is also one of the most chaotic layouts i have ever made, where multiple parts in the level cover the entirety of the editor's vertical reach, which looks idiotic when taking pictures of the level in the editor. i am definitely very pleased with what i have made here though. the 2.2 camera wouldve been very useful for this level but alas, Rob would need to release the update which i was already anticipating for ever since i made Taiji. oh well
this video was also going to be part of something that i intend to announce very soon but i realized how bad that will be for a video like this, so i am saving that for another timeThe First Levels of Popular Players - Geometry DashStormfly2021-08-09 | a rather simple video here, a re-creation of a video i made back in 2020 which showcased a list of popular creators' first levels. this time i decided to cover some popular players instead, which ended up being an interesting endeavour. there isn't that much else to be said about this, its a very simple video for once
i do have a confession to make about my recent time on Youtube, which i will probably cover properly soon in the future here. i want to point out that i will be going on a break during September-October for my mental state. the past few months have been a literal train-wreck for me and i am only now starting to properly recover but i am making sure that i feel well before i do any big steps with the channel and my life. i thank all of you for being part of this channel over the years and i appreciate the opportunities you have given me through this channel. i can only imagine where this channel is going to go in the future
Electroman Adventures Remix by Sairk newgrounds.com/audio/listen/916301The ICE Carbon Series and Roadboses Goodbye - Geometry DashStormfly2021-07-15 | here we have the 3rd and final documentary video i had planned before the summer began. even after all these years, it seems to still be confusing for the community what levels are truly apart of Roadbose's ICE Carbon series. i figured i'd shed some light on the matter and showcase the true, full series with all levels Roadbose made for it mentioned
on top of that, at the end of this video it will discuss the message Roadbose left when most likely quitting the game permanently. unless he actually comes back legitimately and it can be proven, anyone claiming to be Roadbose after that is most likely fake
trying something new here, seeing if this is entertaining for you all. its been in the works for way too long for reasons that are really dumb but i finally got something that i could at least consider to be a pilot episode. annoyingly, this will be the only episode for a long time until RobTop does what he needs to do in the future, which i address at the end of the video
in short, this is an attempt at re-creating the very popular Super Mario Maker's 100 Mario Challenge/Endless Mode in Geometry Dash. whether you deem that successful or not remains to be seen i suppose. let me know what you think of this since i would love to turn this into a series based off quantity. it would allow me to make consistent uploads for you all while still spending time on high-quality videos alongside that
Jumper - Metal/Electronic Cover by MaximumGuitar and Hyenaedon) youtube.com/watch?v=uF8XtbROdoYRecent Level Achievements Ep.5 - Calm Before The Storm - Geometry DashStormfly2021-05-26 | i keep not having time to finish the videos i want to make and its really annoying. thankfully, i can provide content with this little series here and i can confidently state that these episodes will just get crazier and crazier. the calm before the storm in the title implies that very aspect, the levels im trying to beat in the future will be way beyond anything ive tried in the past, so prepare yourselves. we've got a long journey ahead of us
the next video is as i mentioned previously a documentary-based video and i have everything ready for it to be finished. i just havent had time to finish it up yet as other projects and college has gotten in the way. by the time June shows up this should not be the case, it should be better at that pointThe Story of Silent Clubstep (ft. Icedcave) - Geometry DashStormfly2021-05-08 | big thanks to Icedcave for making this video possible, as he was originally going to make this video himself but requested me to make the video instead. here we have a story that summerize the mystery of Silent Clubstep, which has some pretty unique situations that would be worth addressing
i apologize for my speed with videos recently, i am building up a pretty beefy catalogue of uploads when i inevitably take a pretty big break, where most videos are based on playing. as ive mentioned previously, i am working towards making content that is more aimed towards quantity than quality which should soon be ready. it is still unique content as ever though, so no worries there. everyone ive talked to about that idea seems to be enjoyed by all, so thats something to look forward to c:
