Ein Astronaut: What People - Making Of BehindMindSpaces 2011-10-11 | I started this song with recording drums - but without having any idea of a melody or song structure. I just had this beat in my head so I improvised a song structure on drums using this rythm. Worked out well - I didn't have to cut out or loop any parts! Also this was the first song featuring my new monome 256 and kaoss pad quad. That was a lot of fun and I'm definitely going to get even deeper into these two guys. I've met so many wonderful inspiring people and learned so much about all kinds of stuff from marketing to collaborating. It's been very inspiring and gave me lots of new ideas for my upcoming work. I've had to record the whole song with a tiny rhode camera mic plugged in directly to my mac book - that was insane but worked out great! It's inspired me to experiment much more and to think out of the box. I hope I'll be able to keep the vibe I'm on right now because it's so intense.
