She explains how she created this cocktail first in Bulgarian for our Bulgarian guests and then in English for the rest of us.We had just completed a fundraising workshop for our friends with BCNL, the Bulgarian Center for Not-for-Profit Law. We had a special treat in store for them when we had dinner at Crane's. Alice had eaten there a few weeks earlier and truly enjoyed the staff, the food and the overall experience. 360° Lotus of Siam Toast GoalBusters 2022-05-21 | It has become a tradition that we host the "Friends of GoalBusters" event at AFP ICON. The "FOG" are a very special group. On this night, we loaded 22 friends into a party bus at the MGM Casino and first stopped for a photo at the famous Las Vegas sign. From there we went to Area 15 to explore Omega Mart. After that we loaded back into the party bus and headed to Lotus of Siam. Lotus is recognized as one of the top three Thai restaurants in North America. Because I always order something I've never ordered before, I chose the "full stave" Scotch tasting. It consisted of nine scotches in a "blind tasting." So I took advantage of an opportunity last month, and took her to lunch at the magnificently revived "Tavern on the Green" in Central Park, New York. It only reopened a few months ago. (After a long, somewhat embarrassing hiatus.) But they are back. And it is epic. We enjoyed truffle fries as we drank fine champagne, and admired the perfect French expat outside our window. I don't know if I coveted his hat, shirt, or scarf the most. The last time I ate here was the summer of 1995. And no, I did not "grow up in a barn."
