Last year I remembered it and thought relearning it at 33 would be a fun challenge, then I ended up filming this one at my hometown plaza one random morning during a solo skate. Used it as my intro in "BLESUM CASTRUM" (see profile), the latest local montage we made with my friends. Board flips 3/4 of a kickflip done pressure flip style before the front foot catches it then wraps, it's something.

Five years after finalization of the project, most of the spots - some of them classics - already are gone due to major scale demolition/reconstruction of entire blocks, "defensive architecture", and/or privatization of formerly public space, pushing the remaining skateboarders further and further out into wilder perimeters.The human presence in the video also is remarkable as it is composed by a wide range of generations and styles, captured at the peak of an era where that was possible. Amongst contributing filmers, "BLESUM CASTRUM" happens to feature Lucas Sauvaget's entire career, from the moment he first asked to borrow the camera on the streets to the minute he quit skateboarding after destroying his ankle within a year. TRACKED MOVEMENTS / Franck Pierron aymeric nocus 2018-11-28 | [🌐] Some weeks ago, Benjamin Deberdt & I were in charge of organizing a LIVE Skateboard Media #movienight in the context of the adidas Skateboarding event: #DasDays. The idea was to screen a recap of Paris skateboarding throughout the decades, via a curated selection of projections comprising clips ranging from Stéphane Larance's Fontaine des Innocents footage in the Tracker video "Stacked" (1991) to the more recent Parisii and Bloby's edits, without forgetting classics such as Fred Mortagne's 411VM Metrospective segment, #GonzInVideoDays, and various, commonly overlooked clips from say, older Santa Cruz videos... All in an effort of federation and transmission.We got in touch with O.G. skate filmer Franck Pierron, who turned out to be ecstatic about the idea of showing us a sample from his collection of unseen clips he had been sitting on for the past 15+ years. Enjoy !As a longtime fan of Traffic videos myself, I was really looking forward to their new offering "Look Left", hoping it would hit as hard as their previous pieces "Moving In Traffic", "Tokyo Transfer" or "Via" despite the changes in team roster and now I'm so stoked I really wasn't let down - video just reeks of those pure, classic Traffic vibes with the trademark fast-paced editing - leaving it up to the skating to do all the talking, the organic street spots, the refined styles. Mark Wetzel and Hiroki Muraoka have my two favorite skate parts to come out this year and both are in this same video.Theme for this re-edit is the "Book Club" section from theoriesofatlantis.com just because that page alone is so iconic, and representative of alternative culture. Aymeric Nocus • THE MIGHTY MOE VIDEO aymeric nocus 2017-09-10 | This is my section from our local skateshop Mighty Moe's newest full-length video, which I also directed (more of the video to surface soon).This particular part is of great significance for me, as the very near entirety of it was filmed in my hometown by two of my closest friends : local skate head of twenty-plus years Romain Badan - one of the very first people I ever met skating here, one generation older than I and an improvised mentor of sorts in many ways ; and young blood Jonathan Vallejo, definitely one of the most enthusiastic, yet down-to-earth and artless kids I've seen grow up here, with a great mind and a great eye to boot.Working with those two (coincidentally on either side of my own place on the classic 'skater age' model spectrum) made for a very sweet human experience, only highlighted by my delight to get to skate and film at a lot of my childhood spots. A humble thrill I'm certain all three of us experienced seeing as Romain kept post-work-hitting me up to encourage me to go back and try that funny 'ender' a fifth time, and Jonathan would sometimes bi-weekly hop trains from the next city over so we could go on early morning missions, and hopefully skate till dusk, armed with a thermos of colombian coffee for the day in addition to our obsolete cameras - all unbeknownst to his mom.Mighty Moe has been supporting my skating for the past 8 years and making that film for them was my way of saying 'thank you'. B&B - Nicolas Mahnich intermission aymeric nocus 2016-06-02 | This 4th part of & intermission amid the B&B project consists in what just might qualify as a nod to those in particular who have been somewhat following this YouTube channel for some time, and thus may remember the silly flatground clips it used to host (among random vintage company videos & other oddities), way back when my friends & I - then teenagers - regularly traveled the entire country to skate, accessorily all the while cultivating a certain love for early 1990's videos which would in turn influence our skating styles at a time when the commonly associated tricks really weren't popular (that was just before they came back in full force) - anyway, after we had filmed them, unexpectedly our videos somehow gained a certain traction back then - notably among the younger, impressionable crowds - which was interesting, albeit kind of awkward. Nowadays, some of those kids who were watching our crap actually stuck to skating in the long run, and as a matter of fact some of those occasionally come back to this page, hence why this clip is dedicated to them.Nicolas Mahnich always was one of those aforementioned friends I would regularly go on skate trips back in those days with and I had the pleasure to catch up with him again in Rouen, France, two years ago (06/2014) for a couple of sessions. B&B - Glen Fox & Bordeaux homies (2014-2015) aymeric nocus 2016-04-18 | Third installment in the B&B webclip series consists in this edit of a bunch of Bordeaux footage scraps from circa 2014-2015, all rather lightheartedly gathered before I moved out, notably comprising what looks like resulted in a full-on Glen Fox part - complete with a few more recent clips from last december.Glen is a 200% skate rat, straight-up hyperactive ripper from the Jersey islands who instantly became everyone's younger brother as soon as upon his first visit in Bordeaux while on a western Europe tour with his mates, back in 2012. B&B - Vivien Feil aymeric nocus 2016-03-31 | "B&B" is the arguably corny, yet openly interpretable code name for what resembles an always-ongoing video project of mine, basically trying to decant years worth of random footage sitting on a continuously increasing number of hard drives into a somewhat tangible (and, most of all, public) thing, under the form of (hopefully) frequent web edits, all free for people to see and maybe get stoked on.First skater to ever have his B&B footage endure the www treatment happens to be the one and only Vivien Feil - now a relatively longtime french skateboarding figurehead, be it through his regular, numerous & always qualitative media contributions (print & web), his co-ownership of Magenta Skateboards, or - most essentially - his distinct Strasbourg- & Paris-forged skateboarding style.The clips in this edit were all casually and spontaneously gathered on location in Bordeaux, France (home to Vivien & Magenta's current endeavors) besides a few that were filmed in my hometown Blois while on a friendly visit last year.
